MENDIDIK PRIBADI BERKARAKTER “UWA HAENG WULANG, LANGKAS HAENG NTALA”
AbstractThis article is a socio-cultural comparative study on character education in general and the philosophy and local wisdom within the culture of Manggarai-NTT people that is “uwa haeng wulang, langkas haeng ntala” (grow up to the moon, and be high up to the sky). For the Manggaraian people, character education should be done optimally (maximally) in order to obtain highest achievement. The expectation is completed with strong personality as described in the phrase “wake caler ngger wa, saung bembang ngger eta” (be rooted in the deepest earth, and reach the outward world). By the comparison, character education in Indonesia will be easily implemented in local context. Moreover, the dialog between the two values will enrich the picture of character education in Indonesian.AbstrakArtikel ini merupakan suatu kajian sosio-budaya perbandingan antara konsep pendidikan karakter pada umumnya dengan filosofi dan kearifan lokal orang Manggarai yakni “uwa haeng wulang, langkas haeng ntala” (bertumbuh sampai ke bulan, tinggi sampai ke langit). Bagi orang Manggarai, pendidikan karakter tidak boleh dilakukan setengah-setengah atau sekadarnya saja. Pendidikan harus dibuat secara optimal agar tercapai cita-cita yang tinggi. Cita-cita itu dilengkapi dengan jati diri yang kokoh seperti dilukiskan dengan “wake caler ngger wa, saung bembang ngger eta” (pribadi yang berakar kuat/ke dalam dan berwawasan luas/ke luar). Melalui perbandingan ini, pendidikan karakter yang dicita-citakan oleh negara Indonesia lebih mudah dilaksanakan di dalam konteks lokal. AbstractThis article is a description or an overview about the development of digital sociology as part of a contemporary sociology studies. In order to make the article more firmly, the author have searched a lot of data and conducted a study of literature. The world kept turning and growing very fast, if social science studies do not well developed to match the moves, then it will will inevitably be left behind and knowledge is no longer relevant. Therefore, new knowledge contextually relevant to the times become an extremely important point to note. Digital sociology which in recent years have become the talk of the world scholars is one of the new paradigm that needs to be explored by practitioners and social scientists. The contemporary context which is offered by digital sociology is a response to the development of technology and a new life space or called as the cyberspace, which is attracting many people from the real world to be involved in it.AbstrakArtikel ini adalah sebuah deskripsi yang merupakan gambaran mengenai perkembangan sosiologi digital sebagai bagian dari kajian sosiologi kontemporer. Agar tulisan ini lebih ber-nash, maka penulis banyak mencari data dengan melakukan kajian kepustakaan. Dunia ini terus berputar dan berkembang dengan sangat cepat, jika kajian ilmu sosial tidak turut pula dikembangkan untuk menyamai gerak perubahan itu maka pasti akan tertinggal dan pengetahuannya tidak lagi relevan. RESEARCHING MORAL AND CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION IN MALAYSIA: PERSONAL REFLECTIONS ON THE ISSUE OF IMPARTIALITY IN DOING PHILOSOPHICAL RESEARCH ON PLURALISM
AbstractIn the process of conducting a philosophical examination on the conceptualization of pluralism within moral and citizenship education in Malaysia, I was faced with an ethical issue about impartiality. This article considers this issue in the context of my research through my reflections and what I learnt from them about conducting philosophical research on complex and controversial concepts. This article describes issues I faced in my research and the understanding I gained about researching complex and controversial topics in philosophical and other research. It goes on to suggest how addressing this issue in the research process provided an opportunity for myself as a researcher to obtain reflective positioning on the issue of research on such topics. The paper concludes that such positioning provides a reason for researcher to take a more communicative stand when researching topics of a similar nature to obtain a proper understanding of a concept within their research. AbstrakDi dalam proses penelitian filosofis terhadap konseptualisasi pluralisme dalam pendidikan moral dan kewarganegaraan di Malaysia, peneliti dihadapkan pada isu-isu etis tentang imparsialitas. Artikel ini menyoroti isu-isu etis tentang imparsialitas dalam konteks penelitian, melalui refleksi pribadi dan apa yang saya pelajari dari hal-hal itu mengenai pelaksanaan penelitian filosofis dalam konsep yang kompleks dan kontroversial. Artikel ini menjelaskan isu yang saya hadapi di dalam penelitian saya dan pemahaman yang saya dapatkan menyangkut penelitian yang bertopik kompleks dan kontroversial dalam aspek filosofis. Artikel ini menyarankan bagaimana cara menangani masalah-masalah yang berhubungan dengan isu-isu etis tentang imparsialitas melalui proses penelitian sehingga memberi kesempatan untuk mendapatkan posisi reflektif pada isu penelitian tersebut. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa posisi tersebut memberikan alasan bagi peneliti untuk mengambil sikap lebih komunikatif ketika meneliti topik yang serupa guna mendapatkan pemahaman yang tepat.Pengutipan: Abdullah, N. Optimalisasi Peran Masyarakat Nelayan Batam dalam Pengembangan Ekonomi
Abstract:This study was conducted to explore more about the role of Batam fishing communities in developing economic potential so as to improve the quality of life of fishing communities. This research was conducted at the Kelompok Nelayan Abadi, with 20 members of the fishing community of childbearing age, with fixtures and fittings are traditional fishing. This study uses qualitative research methods types of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). This method is used to get information from the community and the parties participating in community empowerment. The results showed that the fishing community empowerment can be realized in the form of giving confidence for the development of local capabilities on the basis of local needs. Strengthening the role of the fishing communities as agents of development can be done through mentoring programs, in addition to the development of the organization, the network economy, and other supporting factors. Through community development efforts so that fishing communities have the opportunity to escape poverty and backwardness towards a better life.Abstrak:Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggali lebih dalam tentang peran masyarakat nelayan Batam dalam mengembangkan potensi ekonomi sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat nelayan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Kelompok Nelayan Abadi,yakni pada 20 anggota masyarakat nelayan usia produktif, dengan perlengkapan dan peralatan melaut yang tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif tipe Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Metode ini dipergunakan untuk menggali informasi dari masyarakat dan pihak-pihak yang berpartisipasi dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan masyarakat nelayan dapat diwujudkan dalam bentuk memberikan kepercayaan demi berkembangnya kemampuan-kemampuan lokal atas dasar kebutuhan setempat. Penguatan peran serta masyarakat nelayan sebagai pelaku pembangunan dapat dilakukan melalui programprogram pendampingan, di samping melalui pengembangan organisasi, ekonomi jaringan, dan faktor-faktor pendukung lainnya. Melalui usaha pemberdayaan masyarakat yang demikian itu, masyarakat nelayan memiliki peluang untuk bebas dari kemiskinan dan keterbelakangan menuju kehidupan yang lebih baik.Pengutipan: Wibowo, H., Bahri, E. Pemanfaatan Teknik Kerjasama Kolaboratif pada Mata Pelajaran Ekonomi Guna Meningkatkan Berpikir Kritis Siswa
Abstract :There are many problems arise in learning proccess. It can be derived from human resources itself, teacher or student, infrastructure, methods, learning techniques which are less attractive. Learning techniques have an important role because it is able to develop the students’ potential. Critical thinking is a gift of God Almighty given to mankind for improvement in their lives. Therefore, critical thinking should be explored. There are a variety of learning techniques, but not always in accordance with the learning techniques of teaching materials. In the hope of critical thinking can be developed through the collaborative work techniques. In this case, intelligence is needed to make a teacher effective learning. Utilization engineering collaborative work on economic subjects is expected to be an alternative. This paper will discuss the urgency of what techniques utilizing collaborative work to improve students’ critical thinking. Keywords: technical cooperation collaborative; subjects economics; critical thinking. Abstrak: Banyak permasalahan muncul dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini dapat berasal dari sumber daya manusianya itu sendiri, yakni guru atau siswa, sarana prasarana, metoda, atau dari teknik pembelajaran yang kurang menarik. Teknik pembelajaran memiliki peran penting karena mampu menumbuhkembangkan potensi siswa. Berfikir kritis merupakan karunia Tuhan Yang Maha Esa yang diberikan kepada manusia untuk perbaikan dalam kehidupannya. Maka dari itu, berfikir kritis harus dieksplorasi. Ada beragam teknik pembelajaran, namun tidak selalu teknik pembelajaran sesuai dengan materi ajar. Di harapkan berfikir kritis dapat dikembangkan melalui teknik kerjasama kolaboratif. Dalam hal ini, Kecerdasan seorang guru diperlukan guna menjadikan pembelajaran efektif. Pemanfaatan teknik kerjasama kolaboratif pada mata pelajaran ekonomi diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif. ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENYEBAB BULLYING DI KALANGAN PESERTA DIDIK
AbstractThis study examines the family factors, factors peers, and the mass media factor as a cause of bullying among students of SMPN 2 South Tangerang City. The research method using qualitative methods, and the type of research is a case study. Researchers took the data by interviewing, observation and documentation. In this study, researchers obtained data: (1) family factors underlying causes of bullying behavior among learners either because less harmonious family, (2) factors peer into the causes of bullying among students one of them due to the high intensity of communication among peers that enable learners are incited by his friends who negatively oriented, (3) the mass media factor is causing the bullying behavior among learners, for their abuse of social media as a medium to carry out the bully in the form of non-verbal.AbstrakPenelitian ini meneliti tentang faktor keluarga, faktor teman sebaya, dan faktor media massa sebagai penyebab bullying di kalangan peserta didik SMPN 2 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif, dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Peneliti mengambil data dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti memperoleh data: (1) faktor keluarga menjadi penyebab timbulnya perilaku bullying di kalangan peserta didik salah satunya karena keluarga yang kurang harmonis, (2) faktor teman sebaya menjadi penyebab timbulnya perilaku bullying di kalangan peserta didik salah satunya karena tingginya intensitas komunikasi antar teman sebaya yang memungkinkan peserta didik ini terhasut oleh teman-temannya yang berorientasi negatif, (3) faktor media massa menjadi penyebab timbulnya perilaku bullying di kalangan peserta didik, karena adanya penyalahgunaan media sosial sebagai media untuk melakukan bully dalam bentuk non-verbal (teks). The purpose of this study is to review an innovation of social science (IPS) learning material that uses cultural elements. Innovation in learning is useful as a tool used for learning. Therefore, in the field of learning, teachers creativity, especially in the IPS was very important. In this case, the author offers learning IPS used cultural elements of Ethno IPS. Ethno IPS is a merger of social sciences such as sociology, geography, economics and history with cultural elements. Hopefully, this implementation can increase the knowledge of cultural diversity in Indonesia and as a reference to learning and teaching more interesting

This article is an attempt by the author to observe the phenomenon of social mobility as the effect of Islamic education which is carried out so far. For this purpose the authors conduct a conceptual study on the development of education in the perspective of sociology, with the Qur\u27an as the foundation of the development of Islamic education as intended. Social mobility is essentially a movement of a person or group of people, both vertical and horizontal, to be an important point discussed in this article. In this case, there are at least three important roles that Islamic education carries. First, Islamic education as the foundation for social mobility. «... DISPERATAMENTE FECESI TURCHO»: Alipio di S. Giuseppe (1617-1645, OAD), tra adesione all'Islam, martirio e santità
Prigioniero a Tripoli e falso sacerdote. Apostata e penitente. Supposto martire e, pertanto, candidato alla santità. È questo il ritratto di Alipio di S. Giuseppe che emerge dalle fonti agiografiche e dal cospicuo, e in gran parte inedito, corpus documentario, di cui il primo capitolo della tesi offre un’articolata ricognizione. La vicenda di questo frate agostiniano scalzo di origine palermitana – che ben si inserisce nel contesto mediterraneo dei secoli XVI-XVII, caratterizzato da un continuo e ampio rimescolamento di uomini, merci, appartenenze religiose e culturali, e di cui la guerra di corsa, con tutte le sue conseguenze, costituisce una delle dimensioni più rappresentative – fu anzitutto una vicenda di prigionia, conversione all’islam e successiva abiura, nonché di martirio, cui il religioso andò volontariamente incontro nel febbraio del 1645; di questi aspetti, delle modalità con cui il tragico fatto fu trasmesso dai missionari apostolici residenti a Tripoli e recepito all’interno dell’Ordine degli Agostiniani Scalzi, oltre che delle interessanti analogie con altri episodi di apostasia si parla nel secondo capitolo. Nel terzo capitolo, invece, si dà conto del ruolo di primo piano avuto dalla famiglia siciliana dei Tomasi nella promozione della causa di beatificazione di fra Alipio, avviata in seguito all’arrivo, nel 1653, delle sue reliquie sul litorale agrigentino e approdata, dopo le ordinariae inquisitiones del biennio 1654-1656, alla Congregazione dei Riti, che però espresse parere negativo sia nel 1658 sia sessant’anni più tardi.Captive in Tripoli and false priest, apostate and penitent, alleged martyr and then candidate to sainthood. That is the portrait the first part of this work brought to light from the considerable documentary corpus about Alipio di San Giuseppe, mostly still unpublished. The human existence of this Augustinian Discalceate friar from Palermo – set in the XVI and XVII centuries, when in the Mediterranean mix of people, goods, religions, also privateering was a significant aspect – is a sequence of captivity, conversion to Islam and following abjuration, culminating in the martyrdom he deliberately chose in February 1645. This story, its narration made by the apostolic missionaries in Tripoli as wells as its understanding by the Augustinian Discalceate order are investigated in the second chapter and compared with similar episodes of abjuration. In the third part the relevant role played by the Sicilian family Tomasi in promoting the beatification proceedings of Alipio is explained; started after his relics were brought to the shore near Agrigento in 1653, the proceedings moved to the Congregatio Sacrorum Rituum after the ordinariae inquisitiones in 1654-1656, and there were denied first in 1658 and definitively 60 years later
