Autoipnosi: strumento per il mantenumento dell'omeostasi per la prevenzione della malattia attraverso l'attivazione delle risorse interiori

Starting from the studies on consciousness, from the point of view of both neural correlates and awareness and self-awareness, the experimentation aims to verify the possibility of being able to intervene, through the use of hypno-sis, on the evolutionary process of homeostatic regulation and adaptation, considered as an expression of pathologies in the clinical field, but also as a lever of evolution in the educational and social field. In consideration of vari-ous clinical studies on hypnosis that report positive results after hypnotic treatment, the hypothesis is based on the possibility of acting, for preventive purposes, on the somatic, psychological and relational disfunction, which can induce an energetic blockage of emotionality, educating the subject to recover and manage their energy and balance. The subjects examined and taken into consideration for research purposes were administered the MHQ test, a self-assessment scale for psychoneurotic patients, whose score, while still showing normal values, highlights the tendency to approach pathological values, at risk for the subject. The hypothesis verified is as follows: the use of hypnosis (het-erohypnosis-positive conditioning) for a period of one month, with weekly sessions and subsequent use of self-hypnosis, every day, for two months for preventive purposes, can allow to deconstruction the deviances and restore the resources blocked in the body structure, bringing the subject back to con-sciousness, directing the learning towards the recovery and maintenance of psychic balance. At the end of the trial, the verification of the achieved results was corrobo-rated by the re-administration of the MHQ test and the statistical evaluation of the outcomes, which proved to be significant. The positive outcome of the study suggests that therapists can apply the ex-perimental method on a systematic basis, making possible a fast and definitive recognition of self-hypnosis - as well as hypnosis - as a scientific discipline

A support to neuromotor rehabilitation based on multimedia enhanced hypnosis

    No full text
The proposed work stems from positive tests obtained in the past using hypnosis enhanced by multimedia technology as a learning support for people with cognitive disabilities. The present study intends to test the effectiveness of this technique in patients underlying rehabilitation after cerebral ischemic stroke. Reference is made in this case to the recent discoveries about the function of mirror neurons, whose activation may promote the brain activity necessary for rehabilitation by means of neural circuits usually not used. For this purpose a software has been developed that provides for two phases: in the first phase the hypnotic induction is realized through the use of colors, music and the voice of the therapist. In the second phase, once induced hypnosis, a series of movements prepared by a physiotherapist of the rehabilitation is displayed on the screen, and the patient is asked to repeat them. Simultaneously, the software also displays images that reproduce movements of the limbs during pleasant and positive aspects of life, in which the subject can identify. The experiment was conducted at the Hospital of Cream on patients with cerebral ischemic stroke of any etiology (cardioembolic thrombotic, lacunar stroke,), divided into two groups: the first is subjected to traditional rehabilitation, the second was atreated also with multimedia hypnosis. By means of statistical evaluation we have verified that patients undergoing rehabilitation with hypnosis have a significant clinical improvement compared to the control group

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
