Her educational and reformist approach aimed at the most vulnerable categories - the child, the destitute, the prisoner, the woman - is animated by a vision in which the social question is always understood as a moral and even religious question. This is why, in his writings and in his action, the ideals of justice are always accompanied by the rejection of all forms of violence, by the need to promote economic improvement along with moral elevation, and by the requirement to humanize all forms of assistance with the warmth of charity.La figura de Concepción Arenal es poliédrica: periodista, filósofa, pedagoga, abogada penalista, poeta y activista de los derechos civiles y sociales, se caracteriza por una decidida independencia política e ideológica. Su propuesta educativa y reformista dirigida a las categorías más vulnerables -el niño, el indigente, el preso, la mujer- es animada por una visión donde la cuestión social es entendida siempre como cuestión moral e incluso religiosa. No full textCome interpretare il fenomeno dell’aumento di richieste nei confronti della chirurgia estetica? La ricerca della bellezza è un desiderio naturale, ma perché a volte si trasforma in ossessione? E quali sono le responsabilità della medicina quando si propone di produrre bellezza?
Sono alcuni degli interrogativi che i tre curatori del volume, un chirurgo estetico, un filosofo e un bioeticista, hanno posto a studiosi di diversa estrazione. Ne risulta un quadro che da punti di vista differenti cerca di ritrarre a tutto tondo il complesso rapporto tra ricerca della bellezza, corpo e sfide etiche della chirurgia estetica. Un libro polifonico, che all’inquadramento antropologico del tema aggiunge la riflessione etica, l’interpretazione dei modelli proposti dai media, la dimensione psicopatologica e il punto di vista medico e legale.
Cosmetica è il gusto di ordinare e di prendersi cura, che oggi applichiamo soprattutto all’atto di abbellire il corpo. Sensibili ai valori estetici e in particolare alla forma corporea, siamo giunti al punto di cambiare lo statuto stesso della salute, oggi ritenuta inseparabile dal benessere e dalla bellezza. L’estetica entra dunque a pieno titolo nella medicina, ma apre un capitolo delicato. La ricerca della bellezza fisica ha infatti bisogno di una visione equilibrata della persona.
La Cosm-Etica ha lo scopo di aiutare la chirurgia estetica, fedele al suo statuto di arte della cura, a decifrare i desideri di chi a lei si rivolge e a ricondurli all’ambito della relazione terapeutica

No full textThe philosophical anthropology which had developed in the first half of the 20th century has focused in particular
on the question of the relationship between man and environment, underlining the specific human modality of living
in the world. Living represents an anthropological structure which refers not only to human technical capacity but
above all to his incarnate existence and to the need of roots and relationship, which find a privileged expression in
the category of the home. This argument is confronted today by various knowledges: environmental psychology, architecture,
sociology, just to mention some of them. The article analyzes the function but also the new critical situations
of space/home and of the related urban planning within the development and expression of personal and relational
identity, as well as within the promotion of a sustainable lifestyle. Considering the direct interrelation between
domestic space, urban spaces and human behavior, the quality of living is straightly bound to bioethics, as
being the field of that “human ecology” which is inseparable from reflecting on the sense of ways of behavior and
on the categories of identity and quality of life which imply a common éthos
