THE PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS OF THE POLYPHENOLS CONTENT OF COCOA BEAN (THEOBROMA COCOA L) AND THE DEVELOPMENT AS FUNCTIONAL FOODS
Production and quality of cocoa in South Sulawesi have been decreasing that causes it falls below the industrialstandard. The quality of cacao bean is mainly determined by aroma and flavour produced from fermentation process ofwet cacao bean before drying. In this research processing of various cacao bean without fermentation to polyphenols-richcacao powder and polyphenols (catechin) analysis using HPLC have been carried out.The experimental results showed that total polyphenols content of cacao bean (raw bean) was between 82.14 –126.67 mg GAE/g powder. Cacao samples coded PLPK, BLKK and SWK (without boiling pretreatment) havepolyphenols content of 113, 119.78, and 126.67 mg/g powder respectively. Whereas the polyphenols content of cacaosample coded PLP, SW and BLK (with blanching pretreatment) were 110.76, 113.75 and 82.14 mg GAE/g powderrespectively. NP-HPLC analysis result showed that cacao bean from Palopo, Bulukumba and Siwa have highpolyphenols content ranging from 149.38 mg/g to 367.21 mg/g powder.Heat pretreatment decreases polyphenols content of cacao bean and it shows that polyphenols is not heatresistant. Polyphenols - rich cacao bean can be obtained without fermentation and heat treatment. Cacao bean fromBulukumba, Siwa and Palopo have high economic value when processed as polyphenols - rich health food products
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. SINTESIS KATALIS PADAT SO4 2- / TiO2 DENGAN METODE IMPREGNASI DAN APLIKASINYA PADA METANOLISIS MINYAK JELANTAH
This research relates to the utilization of cooking oil waste as a source of raw material for biofuel throughmethanolysis reaction using heterogeneous / solid SO42- / TiO2 catalysts. The long-term goal to be achieved is the masteryof biofuel production technology by utilizing waste or used cooking oil and using catalysts that are environmentallyfriendly and economical so that they can contribute to increasing national energy security. The research activity beginswith the synthesis of catalysts by impregnation method, then followed by chemical reactions methanolysis. The SO42- /TiO2 catalyst diffractogram shows that at position 2θ = 26â° there is a peak with the highest intensity. This indicates thatTiO2 is in the anatase phase. Besides that the success of synthesis can be seen in FTIR spectrum where sulfate ionscoordinated with Tiâ´âº metal cations are shown on the appearance of absorption peaks of 1250.96, 1150.96 and 1098.68cmˉ¹. Catalyst performance has been tested by identifying product composition using GC-MS and acid base titration. Thecomponents of product are classified as C9H14O2 short carbon chain fatty acids, C3H4 aliphatic compounds, and C18H36O2palmitic acid ethyl ester
RANCANG BANGUN TEMPAT ISOLASI MIKROBA PADA LABORATORIUM BIOPROSES
Design is a depiction of a product in the form of tools and methods from several elements that are separated into one complete unit and can function as it should. Microbial isolation places (Enkas) which are often referred to as sterile cabinets are intended for cultivating cultures which are also usually called incubation. Bioprocess laboratories include microbiology laboratories, so cultures are often planted, but many are only carried out in ordinary work cupboards that are not sterile, so an encase is needed in the bioprocess laboratory. The aim of this research is to determine an effective and efficient enclosure design for use in bioprocess laboratories, determine the type of material used and determine the water disposal model in the enclosure. The materials used are acrylic, ACP and aluminum. acrylic was chosen because it is strong, transparent and water resistant. ACV is waterproof, light and has various colors. Aluminum also has waterproof, light and strong properties. This research microbial isolation site is effective and efficient because in the sanitation test no spots of microbial colonies appeared on the sample when used with a UV lamp. This research also adds equipment to the bioprocess laboratory.

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
