Pembingkaian berita persempadanan Camar Bulan dan Tanjung Datu, Kalimantan Barat
No full textPenyelidikan ini mengungkapkan berita atas talian dalam Kompas. com dan Utusan Online mengenai kecondongan berita, bentuk pembingkaian berita, dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pembinaan bingkai berita isu sempadan daerah Camar Bulan dan Tanjung Datu. Analisis kandungan kualitatif berpandukan model Entman (1993) bingkai empat fungsi iaitu pendefinisian masalah, penyebab masalah, penilaian moral, dan penyelesaian masalah serta temu bual mendalam telah digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan kajian ini. Pada aspek analisis kandungan diperolehi dapatan yang berbeza iaitu Kompas.com bersifatkan dinamik, kontemporari, dan lebih kepada konsep kewartawanan perang berbanding kewartawanan damai dan neutral, manakala Utusan Online bersifatkan normatif, tradisional, dan berkonsep kewartawanan damai dan neutral berbanding perang. Pada proses pembingkaian, Kompas.com dan Utusan Online bersandarkan kepada nasionalisme sebagai elemen terpenting dalam membina bingkai berita persempadanan. Manakala faktor-faktor pengaruh, pembingkaian berita persempadanan oleh Kompas.com dan Utusan Online dipengaruhi oleh faktor dalaman yang merangkumi nilai berita, nasionalisme, pengamalan kewartawanan bermakna, penentuan agenda media, kawalan media kepada pemerintah, kepemilikan media, falsafah dan asas media, reaksi balik terhadap media luar, dan kefahaman individual wartawan. Faktor luaran merangkumi minat pembaca, sistem media, norma dan kaedah kewartawanan, sejarah Indonesia-Malaysia, komersialisasi, propaganda dan kumpulan berkepentingan, sentimen anti- Malaysia, agensi berita asing, kepentingan rakyat dan negara, dan politik dalaman negara. Sumbangan kajian ini ada pada kewujudan aspek nasionalisme sebagai elemen penting dalam melaporkan berita yang membabitkan negara. Dari segi penilaian moral, nasionalisme antara tumpuan yang paling dominan dalam kandungan berita. Pada faktor pengaruh, aspek nasionalisme juga berperanan penting ke atas penyusunan sesebuah berita. Oleh itu, kajian ini memberi implikasi bahawa nasionalisme sememangnya sukar dielakkan dalam membina berita persempadanan antara Indonesia dan Malaysia. Meskipun kaedah etika kewartawanan berteraskan objektiviti, namun subjektiviti wartawan tetap wujud dalam menyusun berita-berita yang melibatkan negara. No full textArtikel ini membahas tentang tingkah laku atau aksi Reuni 212 yang diamalkan oleh kumpulan umat Islam Indonesia di Jakarta pada 2018. Mereka tidak berpuas hati dengan prestasi pemerintah dan menuntut pembaikan situasi Mediaindonesia.com dan voa-islam.com iaitu dua media dalam talian yang menyiarkan Reuni 212. Penyelidikan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan pilihan isu dan informan serta ketidakberpihakan berita mediaindonesia.com dan voa-islam.com ke atas Reuni 212. Kaedah penyelidikan ini menggunapakai teknik analisis kandungan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif-deskriptif dan teori penentuan agenda menjadi tunjang perbincangan isu ini. Hasil penyelidikan ini mendedahkan bahawa dari aspek penciptaan isu, mediaindonesia.com menganggap Reuni 212 sebagai isu gerakan politik, manakala voa-islam.com memandangnya sebagai isu persatuan kumpulan umat Islam Indonesia. Dari aspek ketidakberpihakan, kategori neutraliti menunjukkan voa-islam.com sebagai media yang berpihak berbanding mediaindonesia.com. Untuk kategori keseimbangan, kedua-dua mediaindonesia.com ataupun voa-islam.com lebih dominan memakai sumber yang sama pemikiran dengan mereka. Dari aspek pilihan informan, mediaindonesia.com lebih bersifat egalitarian dan berfikiran terbuka manakala voa-islam.com lebih tertutup bagi pihak luar. Sebagai kesimpulan, secara keseluruhan kajian ini memberi impak yang menimbulkan pandangan adanya penyatuan media terhadap penentuan berita di bilik berita. Apa yang terjadi di lapangan boleh disesuaikan dengan keinginan orang-orang yang berada di bilik berita. Mereka akan menentukan isu dan topik yang perlu disuarakan kepada masyarakat. Kesemuanya dirancang sesuai dengan agenda media yang berhubung kait dengan pemilikan media. Dengan demikian, sama ada mediaindonesia.com mahupun voa-islam.com jelas sekali mempamerkan fungsi teori penentuan agenda ke atas Reuni 212 dengan baik
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
