E-Tourism Communication: Hacking Business English Skills with Digital PBL (A Mixed-Methods Analysis)
This study employed a Convergent Parallel Mixed-Methods design to investigate the effectiveness of Digital Project-Based Learning (DPBL) in enhancing Business English Communication (BEC) outcomes for 15 E-Tourism students (N=15) following a 12-week intervention. Quantitative results showed high agreement on Authenticity (=4.60) and Digital Proficiency (=4.53), alongside significant perceived gains in oral (=4.13) and written (=3.93) communication skills. Qualitative data confirmed DPBL acted as a rapid "hack" for skill acquisition, specifically boosting Confidence in Presentation and Professional Email Tone through constant, situated digital communication. The convergence of findings confirms that DPBL, by integrating authentic digital tools into project tasks, is a highly effective and potent pedagogical model for accelerating the development of critical BEC skills required in the E-Tourism sector for students at a Private Collage in South - Sulawes

This research aims to determine the influence of liquidity and the influence of deposits on the company's profit at PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk KCP Kolaka. The method used is quantitative descriptive, which seeks to explain and examine how an independent variable influences the dependent variable. The data used is secondary data in the form of Financial Reports which have been processed in 2017 - 2021 at PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk KCP Kolaka. The analysis method used is multiple regression analysis. The research results show that 1) Liquidity partially has a significant effect on company profits at Banak Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Cab Kolakawhich is smaller than 0,005 2) Deposits partially have a significant effect on company profits at Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk which is smaller than 0,00
The Structure of Emotional Intelligence, Spiritual Intelligence and Its Relationship with Work Enthusiasm and Auditor Performance
This study aimed to test empirically the effect of emotional and spiritual intelligence to the enthusiasm of the work and performance of auditors. The study population was auditor who works at Public Accountant Office and Ministry of Finance of Indonesia South Sulawesi region. Online distribution of questionnaires carried out and from the results of the questionnaire, obtained 91 questionnaires that can be analyzed. Instrument research measured using Likert Scale point 1 to point 5. Engineering variance-based SEM (SEMPLS) with WarpPLS 5.0 used in this study. The results of the study provide evidence that emotional intelligence positive and significant effect on work enthusiasm. High spiritual intelligence in the same direction but did not significantly affect the increase in the work enthusiasm. Emotional intelligence has an insignificant effect on auditor performance. Spiritual intelligence has a real effect to improve the auditors’ performance. Work enthusiasm has a positive and significant effect on auditors’ performance. Emotional intelligence through the work enthusiasm has a significant effect on auditors’ performance. Spiritual intelligence through work enthusiasm has an insignificant effect on auditors’ performance.</jats:p
Destructive Environmental Discourse: An Author\u27s Writing Strategy in Children\u27s Stories
This article aims to describe the discourse of the destructive environment found in the book Indonesian Children\u27s Stories of Choice and explain the presence of destructive environmental discourses as an author\u27s writing strategy. Environmental discourse is a subject of special attention in studying language related to the environment. This study uses the Ecolinguistic theory of the story we lived by Arran Stibbe. Environment discourse is stories that live in a community environment that influences and even determines one\u27s mind. The environment consists of constructive and descriptive discourse. This study focuses on destructive environmental discourse, i.e., disasters containing information that violates or opposes environmental conservation values. The results of this study indicate that destructive environments are one of the authors\u27 writing strategies for punishing characters in stories that contradict the environmental values of intelligence. In addition, the discourse of environmental destruction is created to be the reason for the presence of the discourses of resistance that are constructive and on the side of the wisdom of the environment. This study concludes that the authors use the environmental disasters as part of the message of the story to be known so as not to be done or followed by readers, especially readers from among children

THE REALITY OF AMERICAN NATION SLAVERY IN THE NOVEL INCIDENTS IN THE LIFE OF A SLAVE GIRL BY HARRIET ANN JACOBS
This article discusses the social facts experienced by Americans in literature, especially novel. Literary work as a social documentation imagined by the author is a reflection of the values of a nation or ethnicity. The main objective of research is to trace the reality of slavery that occurred in America as a social fact in literary works. This research is useful in strengthening the sociological aspects of literary works as well as proving that literary works save a social reality at the time so that readers are able to judge literary works not merely as fiction, but also as social documentation. The writer in this study uses one of the literary research methods, namely Genetic Structuralism Approach. This method emphasizes three main aspects, namely literary work, the background of the author\u27s life, and social reality. Novel Incidents In The Life Of A Slave Girl written by Harriet Ann Jacobs in 1858 was used as primary research data, then a number of references about the author\u27s social background and the reality of slavery in the history of the American nation became secondary data. Primary and secondary research data obtained through literature study. Based on the results of this study found the events of slavery in the history of the American nation. Slavery was the act of white Americans forcibly employing black Negroes on the lands of plantation and agricultural also mining areas. Slavery is a valuable lesson for Americans in protecting human rights today as well as a historic lesson in building the American national spirit, namely freedom, independence, and democracy. The reality of slavery is reflected in the novel Incidents In The Life Of A Slave Girl as well as the life experience of its author, Harriet Ann Jacobs
KAJIAN NILAI-NILAI FILOSOFIS KESENIAN WAYANG KULIT DALAM KEHIDUPAN MASYARAKAT JAWA
One of the popular and growing cultures in Indonesia is wayang. Wayang is closely related to the lives of the Javanese people because the story of wayang has developed and grown in Java. This is one of the characteristics of wayang that is never separated from the daily lives of Javanese people. Seeing this phenomenon, the author tries to review the philosophical values that exist in wayang in relation to the lives of the Javanese people. The method used to review these philosophical values is a literature study method that utilizes several sources of previous books and articles as references. In this paper, the author finds that every symbol used in wayang performances has a very deep philosophical value and meaning for the lives of the Javanese people. The philosophical values contained in wayang include ethics, culture, mysticism, a reflection of identity, human character, religiosity, nationality, and life guidelines

AbstractTranslation is essentially an activity of reproducing equivalent signs in terms of language, culture, and themessage and its effect. Seen from from the main elements in translation, which are a messenger or awriter, a message or a text, a translator, and the recipient, then the activity of translation requires anapproach that can reach out to those four elements. This article is an overview of the approaches that canbe done to produce a good translation. The proposed approaches are intertextual studies, hermeneuticsand reception aesthetics. Translating with these three approaches not only pay attention to the relationshipbetween the existing code in the text, but also the relationship between the messenger or the author, andthe recipient or reader, with the involvement of the context that surrounds the author of the sourcelanguage and target language readers. In addition, the translator as a mediator is also taken into accountby promoting empathy with the author, and by maintaining at the same time the identity of the translator,who plays the role as reader of the target language as well.Key words : translation , intertextuality , hermeneutics , reception aesthetics , context , identit
LANGUAGE STYLE OF FITZGERALD IN THE GREAT GATSBY
The aims of this study were to observe (1) the language style often used in textual appearance in literary works, (2) the figures of speech function in mediating the variables to produce the language style of Fitzgerald’s novel. The research was descriptive qualitative approach. The source of the data in this research was the novel The Great Gatsby written by Fitzgerald. The data were collected by using note-taking technique and were analyzed by listing and categorizing figures of speech based on stylistics approach proposed by Geoffrey Leech and Mick Short’s theory. The results of the research indicated that (1) this research has seven categories of figures of speech. The mostly used is simile which has 38 data, metaphor which has 4 data, personification which has 25 data, irony which has 15 data, hyperbole which has 14 data, litotes which has 6 data and the last is synecdoche which has 3 data. In those figures of speech, the researcher found that the author used animals, other living objects, inanimate objects, visible and invisible things to express human feeling, attitude, and characteristic toward something in certain situation and condition so that the readers can understand clearly the objective of the author expression. (2) The use of figures of speech in mediating the variables to produce the language style of Fitzgerald’s novel has function to increase the readers’ taste, to persuade the readers, to increase the artistic effect, to clarify idea, to influence the readers’ feeling and thinking and to emphasize idea of the author.
The Racist Fact against American-Indians in Steinbeck’s The Pearl
the social conditions of Indians as Native Americans for the treatment of white people who are immigrants from Europe in America. This research explores aspects of the reality of Indian relations with European immigrants in America that have an impact on discriminatory actions against Indians in John Steinbeck\u27s novel The Pearl. Social facts are traced through fiction as part of the genetics of literary works. The research method used is genetic structuralism, a literary research method that traces the origin of the author\u27s imagination in his fiction. The imagination is considered a social reality that reflects events in people\u27s lives. The research data consist of primary data in the form of literary works, and secondary data are some references that document the background of the author\u27s life and social reality. The results of this research indicate that racist acts as part of American social facts are documented in literary works. The situation of poor Indians and displaced people in slums is a social fact witnessed by John Steinbeck as the author of the novel The Pearl through an Indian fictional character named Kino. Racism is an act of white sentiment that discriminates against Native Americans, namely the Indian community
