George I. Sanchez: Don Quixote of the Southwest
This historical study examines the career of George I. Sanchez, New Mexican educator, who led many political and educational battles in New Mexico and Texas to improve educational opportunities for Spanish-speaking children. Archival materials from the State Records' Center of New Mexico, the papers of Senator Bronson M. Cutting, the Rockefeller Foundation Archives, the papers of President Lyndon Baines Johnson, Sanchez's private papers, unpublished materials at the University of Texas in Austin, oral history, and published materials were used in this study. The author used oral history and archival materials to gather much of the information for this work. The author extends special thanks and appreciation to Mrs. George I. Sanchez for making Sanchez's private papers available for study. The author also wishes to thank Dr. Hector Garcia, Senator Ralph Yarborough, Judge Carlos Cadena, Tom Sutherland, Arthur Campa, J. W. Edgar, Ed Idar, Jr., John Silber, and Connie Sprague, Sanchez's daughter, for their help
IMS: The New Generation of Internet-Protocol-Based Multimedia Services
Legacy networks, both fixed and mobile, which were originally designed for voice communications, are progressively migrating to new infrastructures that promise to revolutionize the services offered. In this paper, we will cover this new generation of personal communication services, with an emphasis on the family of Internet protocol (IP)-based multimedia subsystem (IMS)-aided infrastructure that relies on the session initiation protocol (SIP). As a benefit, the end users will enjoy a new generation of personal communications services that are accessible anywhere and anytime. These services are timedia subsystem (IMS)-aided infrastructure that relies on the directly related to the end users rather than to their diverse devices. It is anticipated that the new deployments of next-of the IMS technology. generation networks (all-IP based) will accelerate the adoptio
The present thesis aims to realize the geometric design and drainage system and thus to improve the level of transitability, obtaining an adequate access to the local and regional markets, since at present the zone presents / displays a deficit and absence of construction of works of art; In addition to this achieving district and provincial integration, and have access to basic services that is essential for the development of localities.
The need to improve the neighborhood road San Miguel Cordillera del Cóndor-Paraiso Access, New District Cajamarca, Rioja Province, San Martin Region, is the main problem to solve in this research work.
Within the parameters of the improvement, the Geometric Design and Drainage System arises as a necessity. Therefore, the author seeks to solve the need that has been presented using the regulations established by the National Road Infrastructure Management Regulations, which governs At national level and is mandatory, by the bodies responsible for the management of road infrastructure at the three levels of government: National, Regional and Local
The present study contains indicators and variables of a socio-economic study that support and guarantee the approval and subsequent execution of this projec

Reason: Author requested U of Illinois access only (OA after 2yrs) in Vireo ETD systemProtein-RNA interactions and protein folding are critical subjects in biochemistry, because of their significance during the formation of active complexes and signaling pathways. Regardless of the substantial amount of studies in the fields of protein-RNA interactions and protein folding, little is known about the stability and kinetics of these in the cell. This doctoral dissertation aims to advance the understanding of protein-RNA interactions and protein folding inside cells through comparative in vitro studies, utilizing U1A-SL2 RNA complex and PGK/VlsE proteins as model systems, respectively. For the protein-RNA studies, dynamics experiments of one positive charged mutant of the spliceosomal U1A protein, the golden model for the RNA Recognition Motif (RRM), reveled a conformational transition for the protein only. Also, U1A-SL2 RNA dissociation kinetics studies with U1A positive charged mutants supported the previously proposed two-step dissociation pathway and demonstrated the importance of positive charge residues. The U1A-SL2 was also investigated in macromolecular crowded buffers were its binding affinity increased. It was also studied inside mammalian cells were it localized in the nucleus and its binding affinity decreased. For the protein folding studies, the extracellular VlsE antigen was found to be destabilized inside mammalian cells opposed to the intracellular PGK enzyme.Submission published under a 24 month embargo labeled 'U of I only', the embargo will last until 2017-05-01The student, Irisbel Guzman Sanchez, accepted the attached license on 2015-04-12 at 22:18.The student, Irisbel Guzman Sanchez, submitted this Dissertation for approval on 2015-04-12 at 22:33.U of I Only Restriction Lifted for Item 79851 on 2017-07-23T09:15:30Z
