The Relevance of Positive Education Concept for Pesantren in Indonesia
Studies on positive education that integrates traditional education with happiness and well-being is increasing rapidly. Unlike previous studies that were conducted in context of the Western world, the study aims to examine the relevance of special positive education to the education system in Indonesia particularly at pesantren. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design examining the concept of positive education offered by Seligman and its relevance to the education system at pesantren. The results show that the positive education program was designed at pesantren to teach well-being and achievement. Its implementation consists of several stages: teaching, embedding, and living positive education. The education system at pesantren is carried out in a curriculum namely the academic curriculum and the hidden curriculum. The hidden curriculum becomes a medium for transformation of santri character, values, morals, resilience, and the meaning of life based on religious values. There is a relevance relationship between the education system offered in positive education and the education system applied at pesantren. Pesantren in fact have implemented the principles offered by positive education although they have not taught specifically in one material about well-being, happiness and resilience as programmed in the implementation of positive education

THE IMPACT OF CODE-SWITCHING ON STUDENTS' LEARNING PROCESS AND PSYCHOLOGICAL REGULATION IN BILINGUAL CLASSROOM: A PERSPECTIVE FROM EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
This study explores the impacts of code-switching practices in the teaching and learning process in bilingual schools. The background of this study is based on the fact that the use of code-switching practices not only impacts linguistic and academic aspects but also has significant implications for students' psychological conditions, such as building emotional closeness between teachers and students through humour, praise, and empathetic expressions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the impacts of code-switching on students' learning process and psychological regulation in bilingual language learning. The research method used in this study is a library research with a descriptive qualitative approach, referring to various scientific sources such as journal articles, books, and relevant research reports. The results of this study show several impacts of code-switching in the teaching and learning process. First, code-switching helps the students comprehend the lessons and achieve great success. Teachers switch their language when they give feedback, check students' understanding, make conclusions, clarify information, and explain specific information. Second, code-switching is used to control the students' enthusiasm and behaviour. Solidarity and intimate relationships between teachers and students are the elements that cannot be neglected in the education sector. Applying code-switching as a communication strategy to create humour is an effective way to support learning situations

Development Discourses of HIV/AIDS in Yemen
M.A.This paper is a study of discourses related to HIV/AIDS development programming in Yemen. It is situated within Hakan Seckinelgin's problematization of the global governance of HIV. It analyzes how development workers addressing HIV/AIDS in Yemen conceptualize their approaches and objectives to HIV/AIDS initiatives and situates these amongst alternative discourses, identifications, and interpretations of cultural and religious contexts. The author argues that 1) global HIV/AIDS discourses influence national and local HIV initiatives in ways that transform systems of knowledge, attempt to shape and delimit individuals' behaviors and self-identifications, and mute possibilities for development programs to meet local needs of people living with and affected by HIV; 2) efforts of development workers to situate HIV in Yemen in cultural or religious contexts have potentials to hinder as well as help formulate effective HIV/AIDS programming; and 3) Sheikh Abdul Majid al-Zindani's alternative HIV/AIDS discourse in Yemen is functioning as a bridge between Yemenis' needs and the restricted possibilities of global development efforts
