    The Development of Contextual Model with Collaborative Strategy in Basic Science Course to Enhance Students’ Scientific Literacy

    The aim of the research is to develop the model of contextual teaching-learning with collaborative strategy on Basic Science course for non-science student.  Moreover, the study was also done to examine the effectiveness of the model in enhancing students’ scientific literacy that involves the mastery of concepts, context, process skill and attitudes of students towards science. Mixed methods research (MMR) was used in the study. Preceded by a need analysis, research was continued with the development of contextual models of learning under six themes, such as Human mind and its development, The development of Natural Sciences, Earth in the Universe; The Diversity of Living Things and its spreading; Ecosystems and Human Role , and the Natural Resources and Environment. The overall subjects of the research were 86 accounting students; 20 students involved in trying out the model, 34 students in the control group, and 32 students in the experimental group. The research reveals that through the six themes of contextual teaching-learning along one semester, the implementation of teaching models gave implication to the increasing of scientific literacy of accounting students, in the aspect of mastery of concepts, as well as on the application concept into context, process skill and students' attitudes toward science.     Analysis of Sustainable Awareness of Junior High School Students on Biotechnology Material

    SDGs are a UN program that covers many important world issues, including education. Integrating science learning with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) aims to increase students' understanding of (SDGs) and foster sustainability awareness so that they can be implemented in life. The purpose of this study was to collect preliminary information about the profile of sustainability awareness on SDG 6 and SDG 12 of junior high school students in grade IX related to Biotechnology material. This research used a descriptive qualitative method; the sample consisted of 71 students who were given a closed questionnaire of 20 statements. The sustainability awareness profile studied consists of three categories: behavioral and attitudinal awareness, emotional awareness, and sustainability practice awareness. The results showed that students have a level of sustainability awareness of SDGs with an average score of 2.9 out of 4, so it is included in the high criteria. Other results show that students' sustainability awareness of SDG 6 is higher than SDG 12, with an average ratio of 3.1 and 2.9. Meanwhile, sustainability awareness of the SDGs for female students is relatively higher than for male students, with a percentage ratio of 87.8% and 79.3%. It can be concluded that, in general, students have a high level of sustainability awareness. The results of this preliminary research on the level of sustainability awareness are expected to be a reference for the author in designing and developing ESD-based teaching materials on biotechnology to improve students' understanding of SDGs

    Development of Learning Web to Improve Junior High School Students' Scientific Literacy

    This study aims to produce a learning web that can improve the scientific literacy of junior high school students. This study used the Research and Development method with a 4D design modified into 3D: the definition stage, the design stage, and the development stage. The research subjects were 35 eighth-grade students in junior high school. The instruments used in this study consisted of a multiple-choice test to capture the achievement of the content, students' science competence and knowledge, an attitude scale to capture students' scientific attitudes, and student response questionnaires to the learning web. The results showed that learning science using the learning web could improve scientific literacy skills in the medium category. Based on the results and data analysis, the increase in learning outcomes calculated using the N-Gain Test with an average gain of 55.89% is in the medium criteria, indicating a positive difference between learning outcomes before and after learning activities. The responses from students and teachers to the learning web are generally positive and supportive of its development and use

    This study aims to develop and implement the instrument of science process skills tests on cellular living system organization matter, explicitly designed for secondary students. The indicators developed include formulating hypotheses, communicating, applying concepts, asking questions, observing, planning experiments, using laboratory tools, classifying, and interpreting data. The steps of this research are theoretical construction, determining the purpose of the assessment, constructing indicator items, compiling the items, expert judgment, instrument revision, field trials, and finalization of the instrument. The Science Process skills test consisted of 27 multiple-choice questions. The subject was 30 secondary school students. Data were analyzed using Rasch analysis.     Materi listrik (utamanya listrik dinamis) di SMP merupakan materi yang tergolong sulit. Kurangnya inovasi guru dalam membelajarkan materi ini merupakan salahsatu faktor penyebabnya. Demikian pula, kurangnya guru melatihkan kerja ilmiah sebagai ciri dari pembelajaran sains menyebabkan pemahaman siswa terhadap sains menjadi kurang bermakna. Dalam proyek ini telah dikembangkan pembelajaran berbasis kerja investigasi untuk membangun kerja ilmiah siswa, dan selanjutnya untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa secara utuh. Penelitian dengan metode kuasi eksperimen ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol yang diasumsikan memiliki homogenitas yang sama. Kerja ilmiah siswa diukur dengan penilaian fortofolio keterampilan proses, menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi dan angket, serta format wawancara/lisan. Literasi sains diukur dengan menggunakan instrumen tes pilihan berganda beralasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerja investigasi dapat mendorong siswa untuk belajar lebih bermakna dan menyebabkan keterampilan proses siswa terlatih. Lebih lanjut pembelajaran yang mengakomodasi belajar aktif siswa dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Do scientific inquiry within group investigation enhance scientific work and science literacy of student?AbstractDynamic electricity is one of the difficult topic of science for secondary school student. Lack of teacher innovation and less practicing scientific work to student make the learning is not something awaited and meaningless. The dynamic electricity learning based on group investigation on using scientific inquiry approach has developed to build students' scientific work skills. By the project, it was also learnt the enhance of students' science literacy as an impact of the treatment. The quasi experimental methods was used with the control group pre-posttest designed. The two groups of student were used, one group as a control class, and the other group was the experimental class. The two groups were choosen based on the homogenity of learning achievement. The scientific work skills were assessed on using portopolio of students' process skills (observation sheet, questionaire, and interview). The science literacy was assessed on using multiple choice test elaborated with the description/reason. The research shows that group investigation with scientific inquiry drove student to learn meaningfull and it led to the enhancing of students' science process skills. Moreover, students' science literacy can be improved through the active student learning

    Kepuasan kerja guru adalah perasaan emosi yang menyenangkan atau tidak meyenangkan terhadap suatu pekerjaan menurut hasil penilaian dan pengalaman seseorang. Ketercapaian kepuasan kerja guru merupakan salah satu fenomena keberhasilan pelaksanaan program kerja organisasi. Penelitian korelasional yang terdiri atas dua variabel bebas yaitu kepemimpinan situasional kepala sekolah dan kepercayaan (trust) dan variabel terikat yaitu kepuasan kerja guru. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun 2017 di lingkungan SD Negeri di Kecamatan Rawamerta Kabupaten Karawang, yang terdiri dari 26 sekolah dengan menggunakan metode survei. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 150 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik korelasi dan regresi linier sederhana serta korelasi dan regresi ganda. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara kepemimpinan situasional kepala sekolah (X1) dengan kepuasan kerja guru (Y) dengan ry1=0,4824 dengan persamaan regresi ? = 71,66 + 0,3464 X1, 2) Terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara  kepercayaan (Trust) (X2) dengan kepuasan kerja guru (Y) dengan rx2y = ry2 = 0,7196 dengan persamaan regresi ? = 48,22 + 0,4576 X2 dan 3) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kepemimpinan situasional kepala sekolah dan kepercayaan (Trust) dengan kepuasan kerja guru dengan rx1x2y = 0,7450 dengan persamaan regresi ? = 40,76 + 0,152X1 + 0,399 X2

    Analysis of Update Mapping in Science Learning Media Research: Bibliometric Analysis Based on Google Scholar Data

    This article presents a review of bibliometric analysis on the topic of science learning media research. The aim of this research is to identify relevant research and the latest research on the research topic being analyzed. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with bibliometric data approach. Research data collection is carried out on the Google Scholar page with the help of Publish or Perish (PoP) software using the keyword "science learning media". Search is limited to the 2019-2021 range and the number of search results is limited to 100. Data analysis and visualization using VOSviewer software. The result is the number of article citations is 328 citations with an average of 164 citations/year and 3.64 citations/articles. IOPSCIENCE is the most productive publisher with the highest number of articles, which is 23 articles. Bibliometric visualization of network maps based on text-mining analysis resulted in 24 interconnected words grouped into 4 clusters and network maps based on the authors of the Co-authorsip showed that Alpusari and Hermita were the authors who had the most related with other authors in the topic of science learning media research

    Development of Augmented Reality-Based Multimedia for Enhancing Students' Understanding of Molecular Shapes

    This study is a research and development (R&D) project aimed at enhancing students' conceptual understanding after using Augmented Reality (AR)-based multimedia for molecular shape topics. The research and development design employed is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The study was conducted from November 2021 to September 2023. The subjects for the implementation of the molecular shape multimedia were 36 students from the 10th grade of a senior high school with a science major. Data were collected through multimedia validation questionnaires, multiple-choice questions with explanations, students' conceptual understanding tests, and student response questionnaires. Multimedia validation was carried out by expert lecturers and Chemistry teachers. The results indicate that the AR-based molecular shape multimedia is valid and suitable for use in terms of feasibility (content, presentation, and language) with a feasibility percentage of 91.66%. The Content Validity Index (CVI) related to the feasibility of the multimedia is 0.995 (valid). Learning using AR-based molecular shape multimedia can improve students' conceptual understanding. Students' responses to the AR-based molecular shape multimedia were very good, with an average score percentage of 92%.     This research aims to describe the profile of scientific literacy abilities in science subjects with material on climate change for class VIII students at SMPN 3 Cileungsi. The research was conducted using the ex-post-facto method on 76 respondents. Data collection was carried out using an interview guide sheet and a scientific literacy test which consisted of competency aspects in explaining scientific phenomena, evaluating and designing scientific investigations, and interpreting scientific evidence and data. The scientific literacy data was then analyzed using quantitative descriptive tests. Based on the results obtained, the average scientific literacy score was 31.58% in the low category. The highest level of knowledge was in the low category in 47 respondents with a score of 61.8%, while the highest score was in the 29 respondents with a score of 38.2% in the medium category. The low scientific literacy abilities of students are influenced by several factors such as learning resources that lack scientific literacy coverage, evaluation questions that do not refer to scientific literacy indicators, and digital teaching materials that are able to increase scientific literacy.     Organizational Support and Servant Leadership: the Mediating Role of Work Motivation and Integrity on Work Productivity

    This research aims to identify the optimal strategy to enhance the work productivity of lecturers at Muhammadiyah University Jakarta by reinforcing organizational support, servant leadership, work motivation, and integrity. Employing a quantitative approach, this study distributed a survey to 164 lecturers. The data were analyzed using path analysis to evaluate the direct and indirect relationships among variables and the SITOREM method to pinpoint indicators requiring improvement or development. The findings demonstrate that organizational support and servant leadership significantly and directly impact work productivity. Additionally, their effects are partially mediated by work motivation and integrity. However, the direct influence of organizational support and servant leadership outweighs the indirect effects mediated by motivation and integrity. This suggests that while motivation and integrity are important, strengthening organizational support and servant leadership yields a more substantial impact on productivity. To optimize productivity, weaker areas such as economic added value and fairness in rewards need improvement. Specific attention should also be given to indicators such as cost efficiency and accountability. Organizational support can be enhanced by promoting fairness in reward distribution, increasing involvement in decision-making, ensuring resource availability, and fostering supportive supervision. The implications of this study provide practical guidance for colleges and universities aiming to improve lecturers’ productivity. This research serves as a valuable reference for academic institutions striving to create a supportive environment that fosters continuous productivity improvement among their staff, ultimately contributing to institutional success and societal impact
