Steel Work Design and Analysis of a Manual Lawn Mower
Abstract: This work presented the design and construction of a manually powered lawn mower as well as the stress analysis of the blade. The solid model of the lawn mower design was done using Solid works software. The materials utilized for the construction were selected following standard material selection processes. The required cutting speed was achieved by proper gear arrangement which transferred the rational motion of the wheels to the blade, consequently increasing the speed by about 300%. The average cutting capacity of the lawn mower is 62.48 m2/hr. The stress analysis on the blade using the simulation tool of the solid works software gave a maximum von mises stress that is 252 times less than the yield strength of the blade material. Also, a maximum deformation of 0.00271mm obtained from the analysis is quite infinitesimal hence, the blade can withstand both stress and deformation resulting from the cutting operation.

Multigenre pieces for flute composed by Mike Mower
The bachelor's thesis follows the life of Mike Mower, a British flutist and a multigenre composer, and analyses his pieces written for the flute. Mower's work is strongly influenced by popular music, therefore, the author included a larger chapter about the history of the flute as a fully fledged instrument used in jazz music. Moreover, this chapter covers also various jazz genres and important jazz musicians. In the second part, the author examines Mower's concertos for flute (concertos, sonatas, suites, solo pieces)

Technical progress report: Peripheral mower blade. Sixth quarter report ending 12/31/99
Machine Tech Inc. has been assisting the author with the development of the peripheral mower blade decks. Machine Tech Inc. is still developing the batwing mower deck, which was started last fall after the completion of the mounted deck. The completion date of this program is slated for February. The wing covers and the center section of the batwing have been completed, the frame and drive-lines are now under development. Information from the nineteen-foot bat-wing deck prototype that they have been testing is now being used in the development of a more acceptable bat-wing mower. This unit will be able to maintain the same peripheral mower benefits, but will be much lighter and easier to pull requiring less fuel and damage to highway right of ways in soft areas. The mounted deck has been completed and is in the pilot stage with reports yet to be compiled. Machine Tech Inc. has also worked in an agricultural deck which is closely related to the mounted peripheral mower deck developed for the highway right of way. This will be one more outlet for the peripheral mower machines into the hands of the public

Tootmistehnika erialalKäesolevas töös uuritakse laiatarbelisele murutraktorile lattniidukit käitava hüdrosüsteemi
paigaldatavust. Teema on oluline, sest antud hetkel pole jaekaubanduses saadaval ühtki analoogset
seadet murutraktorile. Töö eesmärk on toetada murutraktori niiduseadme projekteerimist ja
niitmisseadme käitussüsteemide väljaarendamist. Andmeid koguti nii vastavat kirjandust kui ka
patente uurides. Töö käigus sooritati laborikatse, leidmaks tõestust hüdraulilise käituse
võimalikkusest ning seejärel leiti juhtseadme koostamiseks sobivad komponendid. Töö tulemusena
selgus, et projekteeritav juhtimissüsteem on teostatav. Muuhulgas leiti ka jaekaubandusest vasted
vajaminevatele süsteemikomponentidele. Kuna leiti, et antud juhtimissüsteem on võimalik, peab
autor oluliseks edasi uurida niiduseadme kaalu vähendavaid tehnoloogiaid ja niidulati maapinna
kopeerseadmeid.The research is about creating controlling device to hydraulically driven cutter machine for lawn
mower tractor. Current research has its actuality due to fact that there is no similar external device
available in market. The aim of the study is to support projecting cutter bar reaper for lawn mower
tractor by developing its hydraulic drive. Data for this paper has been gathered by examining
relevant literature and patents. In progress of this study there was executed an experiment and
made some calculations. As the result author learned it is possible to drive this machine
hydraulically in addition to that, author found from retailment exact components for assembling
hydraulic system. Since author found out that it is possible to use hydraulic drive the following
subjects of interests will be usage of different composite materials in projection of cutters frame in
order to reducing cutters weight. Another field for further research would be developing a
landscape coping device for cutter bar

ODOT District 9 has developed a GIS inventory of known obstacles within the right of way. ODOT District 9 has conducted some research on potential solutions to notify the mower operators of the obstacles through a sound or visual cue potentially through an iPad or similar devices. Avtor diplomske naloge je dobil prošnjo, da elektronsko opremi daljinsko vodeno kosilnico za zahtevne terene . Izziv mu je predstavil vrtnar, ki se poklicno ukvarja z zahtevno košnjo trave in ima izkušnje v strojegradnji.
V prvem delu naloge je predstavljen smisel takšne naprave in trenutno stanje na trgu. Osrednji del vsebuje natančnejšo razlago posameznega elektronskega sklopa, potek opravljenega dela in rezultat.
V sklepu avtor ugotovi, koliko dela zahteva elektronika na takšnem projektu.The author of this thesis was asked by a gardener who professionally deals with demanding mowing and has experience of machine building to electronically equip a remote controlled mower for demanding terrains.
At the outset, the devices purpose is presented and followed by a short analysis of the current state of market.
A more profound look into each electronic assembly is taken in the main section, followed by the workflow and the results of the project.
In the final part the author makes a point of how broad is the electronic engineer\u27s work on such a project
Roll Over Training Tractor Component Design
Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP) requires the team to design add-on components including a scaled round bale attachment and a to-scale towed implement to supplement and offer additional roll-over scenarios to train famers on. The purpose of the final design report is to detail the development of a bale and mower design for the Roll Over Training Tractor (ROTT) previously built by KAP for the purposes of farm safety demonstrations. This report details the design process for both the bale and mower designs which included the development of client needs, metrics, and specifications in the first section of the report. The second section of the report includes concept development and selection for both designs, and lastly the third part of the report details the final design and manufacturing considerations for the bale and mower add-on components.Keystone Agricultural Producer
