    Description of Grit in Teachers 2 SMP Negeri 2 Medan

    This research aims to see the description of grit in teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Medan. The high ability of grit in teachers creates consistency of interest (teaching) and has a fairly good attitude of resilience in facing the obstacles they experience. There are two aspects to measuring grit according to Duckworth, et al (2007), specifically; (1) consistency of interest and (2) perseverance of effort. This research involved the entire population at SMP Negeri 2 Medan, totaling 60 teachers. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with data collection carried out using a Likert scale, namely the grit scale adapted from research by Fasti Rola, et al (2023). Consists of 20 items and in this case uses Google Form as a research questionnaire medium which is then distributed to teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Medan directly. The data obtained was then entered into Microsoft Excel for analysis. The final results show that the majority of teachers have high scores with a total of 52 people.77 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    The Author presents some preliminary observations on the Fasti Albenses, a great inscription painted on plaster. The fragments have been found in 2011 by the Belgian archaeologists on the mosaic floor of a portico at Alba Fucens. The upper part contained the calendar, in a central strip the dedication by local magistrates was inscribed, and below there were the fasti consulares (presumably from 90 BC to AD 30). Some sections, concerning the years 48-42 BC, 30-15 BC, and AD 18-19, are presented here. As a consequence of the present analysis, we may maintain with assurance that the Fasti Albenses have been drafted and displayed under Tiberius

    The academic achievement of prospective elementary school teacher students is one of the main indicators in assessing how prepared they are to become competent teachers. This achievement can be influenced by various factors, including internal factors such as intelligence and other psychological factors. One of the psychological factors is self-determination. Self-determination is a psychological construct that describes an individual's ability to act and make choices based on their own will, intentions, and desires in achieving their goals. This study aims to determine correlation between self-determination and academic achievement of prospective elementary school teacher students from University X in Medan City. This research uses a sample of 121 people with convenience sampling techniques and correlational quantitative method. The instruments used are the Indonesian version of Self-Determination Scale adapted by Muttaqin (2023) and the Cumulative Grade Point Average from the research subjects directly. The research data were analyzed using Pearson’s Product Moment correlation test. The results showed correlation value (r) of 0.627 with a significance level (p) <0.001. The study concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between self-determination and the academic achievement of prospective elementary school teacher students.88 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    The tendency of academic cheating is the urge to commit dishonest behavior by students in academic settings to gain an unfair advantage when it is about obtaining academic success. Many things underlie the occurrence of academic fraud. Academic cheating occurs due to internal and external factors. In external factors one that influences the occurrence of academic cheating, among others, the academic environment climate. Therefore, it is important to pay more attention to the class climate of learners in order to avoid or reduce the tendency to academic fraud. This study aims to see if there is any influence from the perception of class climate in increasing the tendency of academic cheating in High School of Darul Ilmi Murni Medan. The research method used is quantitative. This research is a population study where all research subjects are required to participate in the research. The population in this study was 51 students of Darul Ilmi Murni Medan High School. The measuring instrument used is an academic trend scale consisting of 44 aitems based on the theory of Lambert, Hogan, Barton (2006) and a class climate perception scale consisting of 39 aitems based on Hadiyanto's theory (2016). The results of this study show that there is an influence of class climate perception in increasing the tendency of academic cheating.Kecenderungan kecurangan akademik adalah dorongan untuk melakukan perilaku tidak jujur yang dilakukan siswa dalam setting akademik untuk mendapatkan keuntungan secara tidak adil dalam hal memperoleh keberhasilan akademik. Kecurangan akademik terjadi karena adanya faktor internal dan eksternal. Pada faktor eksternal salah satu yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kecurangan akademik diantaranya yaitu iklim lingkungan akademik. Oleh karenanya, penting untuk memberikan perhatian lebih terhadap iklim kelas peserta didik demi menghindari maupun mengurangi kecenderungan terjadinya kecurangan akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh dari persepsi iklim kelas dalam meningkatkan kecenderungan kecurangan akademik di SMA Swasta Darul Ilmi Murni Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah kuantitatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi dimana seluruh subjek penelitian ikut serta dalam penelitian. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi SMA Swasta Darul Ilmi Murni Medan yang berjumlah 51 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan merupakan skala kecenderungan akademik yang terdiri dari 44 aitem berdasarkan teori dari Lambert, Hogan, Barton (2006) dan skala persepsi iklim kelas yang terdiri dari 39 aitem berdasarkan teori Hadiyanto (2016).     Student perceptions of career guidance are student interpretations that lead to student understanding of career guidance, where students can plan and develop their careers according to their abilities or potential, and see the values of life, understanding the environment, obstacles and how to solve them, so that they can plan their future. Career guidance is expected to assist students in planning their careers. Career planning is a process that is carried out or passed by individuals before making career decisions by developing strategies regarding preparation for further education or employment to realize the desired future. This study aims to examine the correlation of students' career guidance perceptions toward career planning of grade 12 students at SMAN 51 Jakarta. The research method that used is quantitative and the sample used is 172 student of grade 12 who were taken using the accidental sampling method. This study used Likert scale of student perceptions towards career guidance as its measuring instrument. The indicators set on this instrument had been stated by the Education Department, obtained .961 of reliability. Along with it, the career planning scale was also designed in accordance with the aspects proposed by Parsons, with a reliability value of .869. An analytic method for this research is Pearson Product Moment. The result of this study shows a good/positive correlation between students' perception toward career guidance and career planning for 12th graders at SMAN 51 Jakarta with a correlation value of .569. Thus, the hypothesis of this study is proven to be true. Moreover, the results of this study also indicate that students' perceptions of career guidance are placed in the neutral category (54%) and career planning for grade 12 students at SMAN 51 Jakarta are placed in the high category (54%). The results of the research above can be used as a reference for schools and counseling guidance teachers to improve career guidance programs that are better and more attractive, thereby increasing perceptions among students regarding career guidance.109 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan

    Psychological well-being is an individual's subjective assessment of themselves, whether they feel comfortable and peaceful in life so that it will accumulate in a form of happiness. Meanwhile, self-regulated learning is a strategy used by students to organize learning activities by involving metacognition, behavior and motivation in achieving learning goals. In this research, learning is limited to the process of completing a thesis. A total of 118 students from the Faculty of Psychology, University of North Sumatra who were working on their thesis were the samples in the research. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling, obtained by administering a questionnaire using measuring instruments and a psychological well-being scale based on Ryff (1989) and a self-regulated learning scale based on Zimmerman (1986). The statistical method used in the research is simple linear regression analysis. The results of data analysis in the research prove that the p value (0.000) < 0.05, so that there is a role of psychological well-being in self-regulated learning in students at the Faculty of Psychology, University of North Sumatra who are working on their thesis.     Self-regulated learning is able to solve problems in education and can make students who apply it have good academic achievement. The self-regulated learning is closely related to grit. Grit means perseverance or enthusiasm in achieving long-term goals. Both self-regulated learning and grit contribute positively to the world of education and it is important for every student to be able to apply them. In SMP Negeri 4 Balige students, most of them have applied self-regulated learning and grit. However, of course there are still problems such as students coming late to school, not doing assignments, and other problems. In this study, the number of respondents amounted to 244 students with incidental sampling as the sampling method. The instruments used were the grit scale modified from the research of the cognitive and learning studies team of the USU Faculty of Psychology (2023) and the self-regulated learning scale modified from the research of Hasibuan (2023). Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test to determine the relationship between the two variables. The results showed that grit has a significant relationship with self-regulated learning in students of SMP Negeri 4 Balige (p = .000 < 0.05, r = 0.603). The positive correlation value shows that the higher the grit, the higher the self-regulated learning of SMP Negeri 4 Balige students.106 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    This study aims to determine the differences in self-determination of public and private junior high school teachers in Bagan Sinembah, based on the results of interviews public junior high school teachers have irregular working hours compared to private junior high schools. Self determination is a motivation from within the individual to the individual's ability to encourage himself to make choices based on his will, intention, and desire to make choices according to the individual's needs. In addition, the teaching methods applied by private junior high school teachers are different from public junior high school teachers. In this study, the number of respondents used was 57 respondents with a total population of 209 junior high school teachers in Bagan Sinembah. This research uses convenience sampling technique with comparative quantitative method. The instrument used, namely the Indonesian version of the Self Determination Scale adapted by Muttaqin (2023). The research data were tested by Independent Sample t-test. The results obtained a value of 0.001 with a significance level (p) <0.05.     Attitude towards reading literacy is one of the factors that can influence reading literacy. Apart from attitudes towards reading literacy, students need to have the ability to self-monitor, create a learning environment, which can support the student learning process. This is called self-regulated learning. The purpose of this study was to find out how much the role of attitudes towards reading literacy with selfregulated learning for students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Langkat This research uses quantitative methods with simple linear regression statistical analysis. The number of participants was 279 people using stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were an attitude scale towards reading literacy which was compiled based on aspects of attitude according to Azwar (2021) and a self-regulated learning scale which was compiled based on aspects of selfregulated learning according to Zimmerman (1989). The results of this research show that there is a role for attitudes towards reading literacy with self-regulated learning with an r value of 0.725 with a significance level of <0.001. Then an R2 score of 0.525 was obtained, which means that attitudes towards reading literacy play a role of 52.5% in self-regulated learning.115 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan student burnout dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa USU yang sedang menyusung skripsi secara daring. Hadirnya Covid-19 menjadi kendala bagi dunia Pendidikan disebabkan dampak yang dirasakan untuk mencegah penyebarannya pemerintah memberikan aturan mengenai pelaksanaan pendidikan dalam masa darurat Covid-19 melalui pembelajaran jarak jauh/daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis data korelasional Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 250 orang yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah skala student burnout dan prokrastinasi akademik. Daya diskriminasi aitem dan reliabilitas pada penelitian ini dilihat dari corrected item dan koefisien Cronbach Alpha dengan nilai berkisar 0.76 hingga 0.89. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara student burnout dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa USU yang sedang menyusun skripsis secara daring.This study aims to find out whether is a relationship between student burnout and academic procrastination in USU students who are writing online thesis, the presence of covid-19 is an obstacle for the world of education due to the perceiving impact of preventing its spread. The data collection tools used in this study were the student burnout scale and academic procrastination. The power of automatic discrimination and reliability in this study seen from the corrected item and the Cronbach alpha coefficient with values ranging from 0,76 to 0,89.
