Subjects underwent three consecutive visual evoked potential examinations using the Diopsys NOVA LX fixed protocol. All examination procedures were carried out in accordance with the manufacturer recommendations. To assess intersession repeatability, nine subjects returned in 2–6 weeks for repeat examination.Results: A total of 46 subjects were recruited. Mean ± SD age: 53±9 years (range: 40–84 years); 69% of subjects were female and 80% were non-white. Coefficients of variation (CVs) and intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) revealed greater repeatability for P100 latency (CV: 3%–7%; ICC: 0.39–0.76) than for P100 amplitude (CV: 21%–33%; ICC: 0.34–0.69) and greater repeatability for recordings made with high contrast stimuli (amplitude CV: 21%–23%; latency CV: 3%–7%) than low contrast stimuli (amplitude CV: 24%–33%; latency CV: 6%–7%). Minimum detectable change values ranged between 4.50 and 9.95 µv for amplitude and 8.16–15.26 ms for latency. Repeatability was not influenced by age, sex, or race.Conclusion: The Diopsys NOVA LX fixed protocol demonstrated clinically acceptable intrasession and intersession repeatability in these healthy older adults, with latency being more repeatable than amplitude and examinations employing high contrast stimuli being more repeatable than those using low contrast stimuli. PSALM LX UND PSALM CVIII

AbstractThis historical allusions in Ps lx are sufficiently specific to date this psalm to the years 599 or 598 B.C.E.; the psalm may thus be understood as the work of a single author. The repetition of Ps lx 7-12 in Ps cviii 7-14, with due regard for the whole composition of Pss cviii-cx, leads further proof to the dating of Ps cx (and cviii) to the reign of John Hyrcan. Within the (proto-) canonical psalter, Ps lx and cviii read related to each other as promise (Ps lx) and fulfillment (Ps cviii). </jats:sec

In the Master’s paper a short summary of the model driven system architecture is given there. The author has described model transformation languages L0’, L1, L2 and L3 in the development of which he has taken part, the syntax and semantics of these languages, and the connection between them and the base transformation language L0. In addition, a detailed insight into main principles and problems of implementation of the languages L0’, L1, L2 and L3 is given in the paper. Moreover, a detailed description of the actual implementation, i.e., a compiler of the language L3 to the base language L0 is given. An opportunity to verify the functionality of this compiler by downloading it from the website of the Lx languages’ family is offered. Possible cases of usage of the language L3 are mentioned as well

Let k,l >= 2 be fixed integers, and C be an effectively computable constant depending only on k and l. In this paper, we prove that all solutions of the equation (x + 1)(k) + (x + 2)(k) + ... + (lx)(k) = y(n) in integers x, y,n with x, y >= 1, n >= 2, k not equal 3 and l 1 (mod 2) satisfy max{x, y, n} < C. The case when is even has already been completed by the second author (see [24])

The purpose of this work is to present the fundamental ideas that have sustained the elaboration of the three maps that make up the epigraph of landscapes of the National Atlas of Cuba LX Anniversary, published in 2019. The theme of landscape is an epigraph of the Nature section, presenting the following maps of Cuba: Landscape anthroponatural, Cultural landscape and Geographic Regionalization, all at 1: 1 000 000. More than the characteristics of the natural, economic, social and cultural components, the authors intend to highlight the systemic interrelationship in them, which is manifested in certain spatial patterns, with traits of individuality and singularity

Crack detection in beams by wavelet analysis

No full text
In this paper, the wavelet transform is applied to the time-frequency analysis of the flexural waves in beams for crack detection. Here, a cantilever beam with edge cracks is used for a model to analyze the wave information after it is loaded an impact hammer on its free end. The flexural waves propagating in beams are dispersive and can be measured directly by using electrical-resistance strain gauges during the dynamic process. According to the data about one-crack and two-crack beams, we utilize the Morlet wavelet transform to decompose the flexural waves into each frequency component in time domain. The experimental results illustrate that the crack position can be detected exactly by means of the signal of mid-frequency flexural wave extracted by wavelet transform. The method is also suitable for determining the existence and location of multi-crack in a beam.http://gateway.webofknowledge.com/gateway/Gateway.cgi?GWVersion=2&SrcApp=PARTNER_APP&SrcAuth=LinksAMR&KeyUT=WOS:000176853900053&DestLinkType=FullRecord&DestApp=ALL_WOS&UsrCustomerID=8e1609b174ce4e31116a60747a720701Instruments & InstrumentationMechanicsMaterials Science, Characterization & TestingOpticsEICPCI-S(ISTP)

p Dissipative operator

In this paper the authors prove that the generalized positive p selfadjoint (GPpS) operators in Banach space satisfy the generalized Schwarz inequality, solve the maximal dissipative extension representation of p dissipative operators in Banach space by using the inequality and introducing the generalized indefinite inner product (GIIP) space, and apply the result to a certain type of Schrodinger operator

Elastodynamic stress-intensity factors for a semiinfinite crack under 3-d combined mode loading

No full text
The dynamic stress intensity factor histories for a half plane crack in an otherwise unbounded elastic body are analyzed. The crack is subjected to a traction distribution consisting of two pairs of suddenly-applied shear point loads, at a distance L away from the crack tip. The exact expression for the combined mode stress intensity factors as the function of time and position along the crack edge is obtained. The method of solution is based on the direct application of integral transforms together with the Wiener-Hopf technique and the Cagniard-de Hoop method, which were previously believed to be inappropriate. Some features of solutions are discussed and the results are displayed in several figures
