    Synthesis of NLO-Active Amphiphiles and Incorporation into Polyelectrolyte Multilayers

    The purpose of this study was to synthesize novel amphiphiles that are NLOactive and incorporate these amphiphiles into polyelectrolyte films. The amphiphiles have a long aliphatic chain with a polar head (sulfonate) and a donor-pi system-acceptor moiety that will exhibit NLO responses. The first compound, sodium 10-[4-(4-nitrophenyl azo)-phenoxy]-decane-l-sulfonate (NOAS), was synthesized in a very low yield with most of the obtained product containing seven times as much unreacted bromide. The second compound, sodium 10-[4-(4-cyano-phenyl azo)-phenoxy]-decane-lsulfonate (CNAS), was synthesized in a 3:1 ratio of sulfonate to bromide. Before it was known that impurities were present polyelectrolyte multilayers (by the dipping method and spin assembly) were made with both products. The CNAS product deposited in polyelectrolyte layers more than the NOAS product because it contained more sulfonate product. Deposition was further proved by ellispometric thickness measurements. The polyelectrolyte studies will be redone with pure product in the near future

    CURSES AS A UKRAINIAN CULTURAL TRADITION

    Curses constitute a significant part of cultural life of the Ukrainian people. This study aims to analyze curses as a Ukrainian cultural tradition and trace their roots. The author suggests that all curses can be divided at least in three groups: curses which are closely associated with the country’s culture, traditions, customs, history, mythology, superstitions and religion; curses that have no specific cultural root; «tricky» curses used for playful purposes. Almost all curses are context-dependent. The article argues that the major sociocultural functions of curses are pedagogical or didactic, therapeutic and regulative. It is also shown that nowadays curses continue to be used in all spheres of life.ORCID: http://orcid.org/0000-0003-2206-016

    La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre branding y posicionamiento del Instituto Superior Técnico Ceturgh Perú en los alumnos de la carrera de Gastronomía, Piura, 2022. Asimismo, la metodología empleada corresponde a un enfoque cuantitativo, investigación de tipo aplicada, con diseño de investigación no experimental, de corte transversal y de nivel transaccional correlacional, se empleó la técnica de encuesta y como instrumento de recolección de datos el cuestionario estructurado con escala de Likert, en una población de 100 estudiantes de gastronomía del Instituto Superior Técnico Ceturgh Perú. Los resultados indicaron que existe relación significativa entre el branding y el posicionamiento del Instituto Superior Técnico Ceturgh Perú, con un nivel de significancia de 0.00 y un coeficiente de correlación de Rho Spearman es 0.696 que indicó correlación alta y directa, estos resultados revelan que aplicar correctamente el branding en tu institución te permitirá posicionarte en la mente de tus alumnos.The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between branding and positioning of the Higher Technical Institute Ceturgh Peru in the students of the Gastronomy career, Piura, 2022. Likewise, the methodology used corresponds to a quantitative approach, applied type research, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational transactional level research design, the survey technique was used and the structured questionnaire with a Likert scale was used as a data collection instrument, in a population of 100 gastronomy students from the Ceturgh Technical Higher Institute. Peru. The results indicated that there is a significant relationship between the branding and the positioning of the Higher Technical Institute Ceturgh Peru, with a significance level of 0.00 and a Rho Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.696, which indicated a high and direct correlation, these results reveal that applying correctly branding in your institution will allow you to position yourself in the minds of your students

    [History of Polish Media in Context of Bibliometric Indicators]. The article focuses on answering the question if media history is subject to bibliometric trends in ways similar to natural sciences, or does it have its own peculiar characteristics. The material for research consists of Historiographical Citation Index of Polish Media 1945-2010. Following issues were subject to study, among various aspects characteristic for history: language locality, publishing forms, differences in works' citations depending on its type (contributions, synthesis') and peculiarities of author distributions (Lorenz curve, Lotka law). A half-life indicator is also analyzed, and a HL14 indicator introduced, with related analysis. Comparison and correlation of selected parameters (citations, HL14, Hirsch index, publication number, volume, etc) was produced as well

    Over the past two decades customer relationship management has emerged as a key domain in marketing research and practice. In this context customer relationship portfolio thinking has become highly topical. The customer portfolio analysis, as a management tool, enables the company taking proper decisions about the kind of relationships that should be created by the firm. Because firms have only limited amount of resources to use on their customers, it does not seem rational to treat and develop all relationships in the same way. Instead firms should differentiate the allocation in relation to the value of relationship. This way they can assure long-term performance and lasting competitive advantage. The main aim of the present article is to shed light on the concept of customer relationships portfolio analysis – its importance and dimensions stated in the literature. The author intended to broaden the current understanding of customer portfolio analysis.Paradygmat relacji już od ponad dwóch dekad jest jedną z bardziej wpływowych koncepcji działań marketingowych zarówno w badaniach naukowych, jak i praktyce biznesu. W tym kontekście analiza portfela relacji z klientami stała się jednym z kluczowym wyzwań dla marketerów. Analiza portfela klientów, jako narzędzie zarządzania marketingowego, umożliwia firmie podejmowanie właściwych decyzji dotyczących rodzaju relacji z klientami, jakie firma powinna nawiązywać i rozwijać. Z uwagi na ograniczone zasoby, jakimi dysponuje współcześnie przedsiębiorstwo nie jest uzasadnione podejście, w którym wszystkich klientów i relacje z nimi nawiązane traktuje się w ten sam sposób. Przedsiębiorstwa powinny koncentrować się na budowaniu różnego rodzaju relacji z różnymi klientami w taki sposób, aby mogły one pomnażać korzyści własne w efekcie prowadzonych działań w długim okresie. Celem opracowania jest omówienie znaczenia analiz portfela relacji z klientami w strategii organizacji oraz zmiennych wykorzystywanych w procesie ich przygotowywania. Intencją autorki była również identyfikacja uwarunkowań związanych ze stosowaniem analiz portfela relacji z klientami w przedsiębiorstwie

    Aim: This research was conducted with the aim of identifying and visualizing articles on the relationship between dialysis and earthquakes, highlighting trends, and providing future researchers with a literaturebased overview. Methods: The data were obtained from the "Web of Science Core Collection" data base on November 20, 2023, using the keywords 'dialysis' and 'earthquake,' resulting in 94 research articles from a population of 138 studies. Bibliometric analysis was carried out using the "VOSviewer" and "R-based Bibliyometrix" programs, including performance analysis and scientific mapping. Results: As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the most frequently used keywords in the Web of Science category were ‘acute-renal-failure,‘management’,‘dialysis’, ‘earthquake’, ‘acute kidney injury’, ‘crush syndrome’. When the countries of publication were evaluated, it was determined that the most studies were conducted in 2009 and in Türkiye, and the author who published the most and contributed the most was ‘Vanholder R.’. It was determined that the first three most frequently used keywords in the publications were ‘crush syndrome’, ‘dialysis’ and ‘acuterenal failure’. Conclusion: The findings of this study are believed to contribute to evaluating the management of dialysis patients in the event of a possible earthquake and guiding future research planning.Amaç: Bu araştırma, diyaliz ve deprem arasındaki ilişkiye ilişkin makaleleri belirlemek ve görselleştirmek, eğilimleri vurgulamak ve gelecekteki araştırmacılara literatüre dayalı bir genel bakış sağlamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntemler: Veriler, 20 Kasım 2023 tarihinde "Web of Science Core Collection" veritabanından 'diyaliz' ve 'deprem' anahtar kelimeleri kullanılarak elde edildi ve sonuçta 138 çalışmadan oluşan bir popülasyondan 94 araştırma makalesi elde edildi. Bibliyometrik analiz, performans analizi ve bilimsel haritalamayı içeren "VOSviewer" ve "Rtabanlı Bibliyometrix" programları kullanılarak gerçekleştirildi. Bulgular: Yapılan analiz sonucunda Web of Science kategorisinde en çok kullanılan anahtar kelimenin “acute-renal-failure”, “management”, “dialysis”, "earthquake”, “acute kidney injury”, “crush sendrome” olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yayın yapılan ülkeler değerlendirildiğinde en fazla çalışmanın 2009 yılında ve Türkiye'de yapıldığı, en fazla yayın yapan ve en fazla katkı sağlayan yazarın “Vanholder R." olduğu saptanmıştır. Yayınlarda en sık kullanılan ilk üç anahtar kelimenin “crush sendromu”, “diyaliz” ve “akut-böbrek yetmezliği” olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Bu çalışmanın bulgularının olası bir deprem durumunda diyaliz hastalarının yönetiminin değerlendirilmesine ve gelecekteki araştırma planlamalarına yol göstermesine katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir
