Biography of Robert Reid Russell (Bob)(1905-1993)
[Extract] Robert Reid Russell (1905–1993), company director, grazier, and businessman, was born on 30 August 1905 in Edinburgh, second child of Scottish-born Robert Reid Russell senior, stockbroker, and his American-born wife Anita Dwyer, née Withers. Educated (1918–22) at Ampleforth College, Yorkshire, Bob was an apprentice shepherd in Scotland before migrating to Australia in 1923. The Russell family had a financial interest in the New Zealand and Australian Land Co. Ltd, for which Bob worked as a jackaroo and later as an overseer, gaining experience at pastoral stations in New South Wales. In 1929 he travelled to the United States of America and Scotland before returning to Australia

A INSERÇÃO PROTESTANTE EM PORTUGAL: Uma análise da propaganda religiosa de Robert Reid Kalley na Ilha da Madeira
A inserção protestante em Portugal se deu pelo trabalho missionário de Robert Reid Kalley (1809-1888). Tal inserção se deu em uma possessão portuguesa, a Ilha da Madeira, onde Kalley e sua esposa fixaram residência em busca de melhor saúde. O objetivo desse artigo é analisar os métodos da propaganda religiosa de Kalley, bem como os impactos dessa propaganda que geraram a expulsão do médico escocês e, mesmo assim, estabeleceram as bases para a fundação da primeira igreja protestante portuguesa. THE PROTESTANT INSERTION IN PORTUGAL: AN ANALYSIS OF ROBERT REID KALLEY'S RELIGIOUS ADVERTISING IN MADEIRA ISLANDAbstractProtestant insertion in Portugal was due to the missionary work of Robert Reid Kalley (1809-1888). This insertion occurred in a Portuguese possession, Madeira Island, where Kalley and his wife settled in search of better health.
