ANALISIS TEKS PENDIDIKAN KLASIK DAN KONTEMPORER Review Buku: Religious Education in Plurality by Robert Jackson
Tujuan karya ilmiah ini yakni menganalisis isi buku Profesor Robert Jackson, pakar pendidikan bertarap internasional. Dimana kontribusinya tak terbantahkan di lapangan dan dicatat sebagai bagian dari rangkaian World Library Educationalist, menggabungkan 43 publikasi dari awal 1990-an dan berakhir 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif. Studi semacam ini memerlukan penjelajahan perpustakaan (library research), dimana data diperoleh dari buku yang berjudul Religious Education in Plurality, dan artikel serta buku-buku yang terkait dengannya. Studi kepustakaan dan metode dokumentasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data untuk penelitian ini. Temuan dari hasil telaah adalah: Robert Jackson adalah seorang pendidik dan peneliti pendidikan Inggris yang dimana corak pemikirannya bidang pendidikan agama dan antarbudaya di Inggris dan internasional, dan dalam kebijakan pendidikan di tingkat Eropa. Menulis beberapa buku berpengaruh tentang bentuk pendidikan agama inklusif di mana kaum muda belajar bersama tentang keragaman agama dan pandangan dunia, dan telah berkontribusi pada pengembangan kebijakan tentang dimensi agama pendidikan antar budaya untuk Dewan Eropa. Pendidikan agama dalam pluralitas menurut Robert Jackson dapat diimplementasikan dengan dua pendekatan, yaitu; 1). Pendekatan interpretatif (Interpretative Approach); dimana menurutnya pendidikan agama memerlukan pemahaman/pandangan yang lebih berwawasan tinggi tentang kepercayaan (agama) orang lain, yang mengakibatkan sejumlah masalah yang harus diselesaikan ketika menafsirkan teknik dan materi agama. 2). Pendekatan dialogis (Dialogical Approach), dimana pendidikan agama menjadikan manusia memiliki tiga posisi sebagai agent, yaitu mengakui keberadaan mereka sebagai rekan belajar, rekan perancang pembelajaran dan rekan dalam penelitian. Abstract: The purpose of this scientific work is to analyze the contents of Professor Robert Jackson's book, an international education expert. Where his contribution is undeniable in the field and recorded as part of the World Library Educationalist series, combining 43 publications from the early 1990s and ending 2018. This study used a qualitative methodology. Such studies require library research (library research), where data is obtained from a book entitled Religious Education in Plurality, and articles and books related to it. Literature study and documentation methods were used to obtain data for this research. The findings of the study are: Robert Jackson is a British educator and educational researcher whose style of thinking is in the field of religious and intercultural education in the UK and internationally, and in education policy at the European level. Author of several influential books on inclusive forms of religious education in which young people learn together about religious diversity and worldviews, and has contributed to the development of policies on the religious dimension of intercultural education for the Council of Europe. Religious education in plurality according to Robert Jackson can be implemented with two approaches, namely; 1). Interpretative Approach; where according to him religious education requires a more insightful understanding/view of other people's (religious) beliefs, which results in several problems that must be resolved when interpreting religious techniques and materials. 2). Dialogical approach (Dialogical Approach), where religious education makes humans have three positions as agents, namely recognizing their existence as study partners, learning designer partners and partners in research
