Zherebilo (1 ♂); River Kislaya (14), 12.viii. 2013, V. Gladun (1 ♂, 2 ♀). Diagnosis. This species differs by acrostichals extending only to the third dorsocentral seta, 5 pairs of dorsocentrals without intermediate setae interspersed among primary setae, brown scutum with blue pruinescence on notopleuron, fore femur apically without strong anterior setae; clasping cercus broad, mitten-shaped, lobes not slender. Distribution. Caucasus: Russia (Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Kabardino-Balkaria Republic). Remarks. In the original description of W. (Philolutra) chvali Joost (1981) the author indicated that acrostichals were absent. However the study of additional specimens shows that they all bear distinct short acrostichal setae, extending to third dorsocentral seta. This species was described from the Karachay-Cherkess and Kabardino-Balkaria Republics of Russia. In the Catalogue of Palaearctic Diptera (Chvála & Wagner 1989) the species was erroneously indicated from Georgia and we know of no records from this territory. Joost Swarte: the "clear line" as a tool in architectural rendering
Get PDF[EN] The current article explores the contribution to architectural rendering by a professional who is alien to this discipline, the Dutch illustrator and comic author Joost Swarte (born 1947). His collaboration with Mecanoo during the design of the Toneelschuur theatre is analysed an example of the artist s full participation from the beginning of the project to its final definition. The preserved graphic material has allowed an study of the role played by drawings and illustrations in every stage of the process, as well as their importance in the communication among different project agents. The analysis is later extended to other works where Swarte s intervention was either limited to certain stages of the projects or conceived as an artistic adition to architecture.[ES] El texto aborda la aportación a la expresión gráfica arquitectónica de un profesional ajeno a la disciplina, el autor de cómic e ilustrador neerlandés Joost Swarte (n. 1947). Se estudia para ello su colaboración con Mecanoo en el diseño del teatro Toneelschuur, ejemplo de participación del artista desde el embrión del proyecto hasta su definición final. El material gráfico conservado ha permitido analizar el papel que el dibujo y la ilustración jugaron en cada fase del proceso, así como su utilidad en la comunicación entre los distintos agentes participantes. Divine Providence in Early Modern Economic Thought
No full textIn this important volume, Joost Hengstmengel examines the doctrine of divine providence and how it served as explanation and justification in economic debates in the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries throughout Western Europe. The author discusses five different areas in which God was associated with the economy: international trade, division of labour, value and price, self-interest, and poverty and inequality. Ultimately, it is shown that theological ideas continued to influence economic thought beyond the Medieval period, and that the science of economics as we know it today has theological origins.Interdisciplinary in nature, this book will be of interest to advanced students and researchers in the history of economic thought, the history of theology, philosophy and intellectual history

Acknowledging that there is growing interest in the concept of choice in auto insurance, the author recognizes that there is a lack of any consensus as to the best mechanism to use to assure that consumers can make an informed and rational choice. The author examines eight different possible choice mechanisms. He next summarizes the issues and problems that ought to be addressed in any choice system. In conclusion, any auto insurance reform proposal must be cost driven in the sense that it must offer real hope of significant premium reductions to those who can not afford insurance costs
