La tutela amministrativa: Italia e Spagna a confronto
The subject of my research work is the system of administrative protection in Italy and Spain and, in concrete terms, the theme of administrative appeals, with a view to comparing the Italian legal system with the Spanish legal system, reporting the influence of European law as a means of coordination and integration between the different legal systems.
The thesis is structured in three chapters, each of which deals with a specific topic.
Chapter I is dedicated to the Italian regulation of administrative protection.
Chapter II is dedicated to the Spanish discipline of administrative protection.
Chapter III is dedicated to the theme of the ultrastatal dimension of administrative law and the insufficiency, in a modern perspective, of a merely "nationalistic" notion of administrative law
Neutron scattering in the static approximation: from the principle to the experiment. Selected topics in the physics of liquids and amorphous systems
The differential cross section for neutron diffraction from liquids and amorphous samples is derived. Calculations are performed for a monoatomic system and extended to a molecular fluid. The isotopic substitution contrast method is introduced. The main sources of systematic errors in the experiment are discussed. Finallytraditional methods for Fourier transform of the dffraction data will be compared to novel methods emploing Monte Carlo simulation techniques
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
