Analisis Perangkat Pembelajaran IPS Menggunakan Pendekatan Kontekstual Untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas Belajar Siswa
This research is a development research that aims to describe the development of social studies learning devices using a contextual approach in the fourth grade of the Roworeke 2 Catholic elementary school. The research model used is 4-D development which is reduced to 3-D, namely define, design, and develop. The learning devices developed include lesson plans and student worksheets which were tested in class IV B as a test class consisting of 25 students, and class IV A as a control class consisting of 26 students at Roworeke 2 Catholic Elementary School. The research instrument consisted of an observation sheet on the implementation of learning, an observation sheet for student learning activities and a student response questionnaire sheet. Data was collected using interview, observation, and questionnaire techniques. The implementation of social studies learning using a contextual approach in the experimental class using the observation sheet instrument showed that the teacher's ability to carry out social studies learning on historical heritage materials using a contextual approach was 73% and was stated to be well implemented. While the analysis of the results of student learning activities using social studies learning devices with a contextual approach and lecture method as follows: experimental class activity I 65% and control class 31%, while activity II 65% in the experimental class and 35% in the control class. So it can be concluded that the activity in the experimental class is better (active category) than the activity in the control class
Implementasi Pendidikan Nilai Dalam Pembelajaran IPS Di Sekolah Dasar
The aim of the writing is to review the values in learning IPS at elementary school. IPS education is a simplification of social knowledge and humanities, and human activities which is organized and reviewed in scientific and pedagogical/psychology context for educational goals. The objectives of IPS at elementary school are a) to equip students with social knowledge that’s useful in society, b) to equip students with the ability to identify, analyze and develop an alternative social problem solving happened in society, c) to equip student with the ability to communicate in social communities and various areas of scientific and those areas of expertise, d) to equip students with the consciousness, a positive mental attitude and skills toward the utilization of the environment as a part of life, e) to equip students with the ability to develop the knowledge and IPS in accordance with society development, science and technology. Values is expected to exist within the community vary greatly according to the diversity, community groups and the value that exist within the community can only contains a good value and can also be value is not good. In the education value, we wanted the emergences of awareness in the implementation of the positive values and keep the negative values
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Abstract
This study aims to describe the development of CTL in the fourth grade of primary school, describe the results of the validation and implementation of the learning material through 4-D model of development which is reduced to 3-D, namely define, design, and develop. The materials covers the lesson plan (RPP), students’ worksheet (LKS), and the test results (THB) taken from the fourth grade (Class IV B) as the experiment consisted of 30 students, and class IV A as the control class consists of 30 students in SD GMIT Ende. Testing device in this study uses pre-test and post-test with statistical analysis techniques.
Moreover, research instrument consists of a sheet of observation for teaching and learning process, students’ questionnaire sheets, student’ achievement test sheet, and constraints. The data were collected by observation techniques, test, and questionnaire.
The results indicated that the use of learning materials with CTL approach can improve student learning outcomes 43.33% (the pre-test) while the post-test to 100%. Student learning outcomes as very good with an average of 87.66 correct answers in test outcomes.
Based on the above results, it can be concluded that the CTL in the fourth graders of elementary school is valid and is able to improve their learning outcomes. It is expected that this research will be useful for teachers in developing such instructional design oriented towards the development of CTL strategy to learning with other study materials
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
koamabayili/VECTRON-author-checklist: VECTRON author checklist
We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
