Creating a new strategy for Jolly Dutch: Promoting a pawn into a queen
Jolly Dutch is a Dutch board game company that is trying to grow within the board game industry. The Dutch board game industry is growing rapidly, and it is perfect for new companies to take advantage of this. This report will show the possible opportunities for Jolly Dutch in the Dutch board game market. It will look into new possible strategies for Jolly Dutch and possible board game designs that fit that strategy. To find the answer to the research question “How can one create a future proof strategy for Jolly Dutch?” different methods were used. First of all, market research was done through multiple interviews with experts of the board game industry, a questionnaire on a board game forum and desk research. With the market research information, search areas were found and eventually converted to a new strategy. As a final step, this strategy was explored through the use of an online interview with potential customers. This resulted in a new strategy for Jolly Dutch and a board game that fits this strategy. This strategy suggests that Jolly Dutch should continue to focus on their sustainable games and expand this. Jolly Dutch could take the opportunity to focus on creating a subscription service that combines sustainable games with the principles of the subscription model.Strategic Product Desig
Continuous data assimilation for the 3D Ladyzhenskaya model: analysis and computations
We analyze continuous data assimilation by nudging for the 3D Ladyzhenskaya equations. The analysis provides conditions on the spatial resolution of the observed data that guarantee synchronization to the reference solution associated with the observed, spatially coarse data. This synchronization holds even though it is not known whether the reference solution, with initial data in L-2, is unique; any particular reference solution is determined by the observed, coarse data. The efficacy of the algorithm in both 2D and 3D is demonstrated by numerical computations. (C) 2022 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Ltd
Seafood Import Demand in the Caribbean Region
Cointegration analysis and an Error Correction Model are used to estimate aggregate seafood import demand functions for selected Caribbean countries. The results show that seafood import demand is price elastic. Exchange rate has a negative effect on seafood import quantity. Income and tourist arrivals have positive impacts on seafood imports. Seafood import negatively affects domestic fishery production. Tariff and production support policies reduce seafood imports, and enhance domestic production. Both policies increase producer surplus, but a tariff reduces consumer surplus, and a production expansion policy increases consumer surplus. A production expansion subsidy is a more appropriate policy instrument than a tariff for small open economies, like the Caribbean States, to increase domestic production and generate net economic surplus.Seafood, import demand, cointegration, economic surplus, Agricultural and Food Policy, International Relations/Trade, Q17, Q22, C32,
Jolly Comrades
There are three fables here in an unpaginated collection of various children's materials. After a colored frontispiece of three children, one riding a dog, there are black-and-white illustrations. The telling by Ida Fay is unusual in that a class of students discusses the picture of the bear and two men before little Mary who knows the Aesopic story tells it. Emily Carter does a similar retelling of SW, in which two boys on the way to school meet a man beating a horse--until a young man shows him how to treat the horse kindly. There is a new ending to The Donkey, the Fox and the Lion. The donkey in the pit brays so loud that hunters come, save him, and kill both the lion and the fox! The back cover depicts a strange scene of a native American apparently rising out of water to gaze at bathing women! This canvas-bound book is in poor condition. This is a hardbound book (hard cover)Written and illustrated by Ann Kir
