Ordenamento do Território e Planeamento Ambiental na Perspectiva das Comunidades EuropeiasNos últimos anos, a reabilitação urbana e, simultaneamente, a coesão sócio-territorial têm-se revelado uma prioridade para as entidades responsáveis pelo ordenamento do território. De igual modo, reconhece-se que numa perspectiva integrada, a promoção da coesão sócio-territorial deve ser, a par da dinamização económica, valorização cultural e sustentabilidade ambiental, um dos pilares da reabilitação urbana.
Neste contexto, urge conhecer as estratégias adoptadas pelas instituições para a promoção da coesão sócio-territorial num processo de reabilitação urbana, ou seja, compreender e avaliar quais os modelos, as estratégias, os métodos e os processos institucionais utilizados, de modo a concretizar este princípio.
A presente dissertação, partindo do enquadramento conceptual, da análise das experiências já existentes, e centrando-se no caso de estudo da Baixa Pombalina, identifica a necessidade de se adoptar um novo modelo de intervenção num processo de reabilitação urbana.
Nesta medida, propõe-se um modelo de intervenção integrada, baseado nos princípios de boa governância e na participação pública, que privilegie uma abordagem sinergética e dinâmica. Esta proposta pretende convocar o diálogo entre diferentes sectores, para que desse diálogo profícuo se possam extrair os objectivos comuns, as estratégias e as acções concertadas. Assim, apresenta-se um modelo que, fomentando a ligação e a cooperação entre os cidadãos, pretende ser uma contribuição para o desenvolvimento harmonioso do território e para a realização da coesão sócio-territorial

proteção, até às casas dos nossos dias, representativas dos indivíduos
que as habitam. Na atualidade, no mundo ocidental, a habitação tem que
permitir aos seus moradores satisfazer as necessidades básicas de conforto, privacidade,
higiene e alimentação, possibilitando um espaço de dormir, de lazer
e de trabalho, adaptado às famílias contemporâneas.
Numa altura em que é reconhecida a qualidade dos arquitetos portugueses a
nível internacional, torna-se pertinente observar/perceber, de que forma estes
desenvolvem a habitação unifamiliar, representativa do maior encargo financeiro
na vida quotidiana das famílias portuguesas, que conta com o maior número
de amadores.
De forma a aprofundar a habitação unifamiliar contemporânea, em Portugal, a
presente dissertação recorre à análise de dois empreendimentos que lhe servem
de casos de estudo, o Bom Sucesso, Architecture Resort, Leisure & Golf, em
Óbidos e o Vila Utopia, em Oeiras. Destinados um a primeira habitação e outro
a segunda, abrangem um grupo de arquitetos de renome. Para facilitar a sua
análise, ambos são estudados quer enquanto conjunto, quer através de algumas
moradias representativas dos mesmos.The housing goês back to the origins of man, having evolved from the shelter,
which provided protection to the homes of today, representative of the individuals
who inhabit them. Today, in the western world, housing is required to
allow its residents meet the basic needs of comfort, privacy, hygiene and nutrition,
providing a space to sleep, leisure and work, adapted to contemporary
families.
At a time of recognition of the quality of Portuguese architects internationally,
it is pertinent to note/notice, how they develop the single-family housing, representing
the largest financial burden on thedaily lives of Portuguese families,
which hás the largest number amateur.
In order to deepen the contemporary family house in Portugal, this thesis refers
to the analysis of two projects which serve as a case study, the Bom Sucesso
Architecture Resort, Leisure & Golf in Obidos and the Vila Utopia, in Oeiras.
The first one for as the primary housing and the second as a secondary house,
cover a group of renowned architects. To facilitate the analysis, both are studied
either as a body or through some representative of themselves

Adapted to the ever-changing urban culture, it is a palimpsest where history is rewritten and where multi-layered cultural legacies of different cultural civilizations can be found over
time. Compositive principles of paradigmatic case studies and perceptive impact on the observer are addressed in this study along a long historical itinerary, which connects the Greek agora, the Roman forum, the Middle Ages squares to the Place Royale.
These case studies are analysed by abstracting principles and unveiling values, and main constraints of the built environment, with the purpose of understanding how potential contemporary interventions can be planned. To deepen and compare different practical approaches, four contemporary architecture projects on historic squares are analysed in Italy and Portugal. They summarize the distinct understanding of the historical fabric and its instances, from the recovery of the lost symbolic values of the place (addressed by Ferlenga and Byrne) to a creative reinterpretation of the place (addressed by Siza and Collová) turned into subjective yet noticeable interpretation (by Siza and Souto de Moura). Amongst the plurality of potential strategic interventions, this study shows how the community, and the students can experience historic squares and shape their future using a sensitive participatory design approach.A praça histórica na Europa abrange múltiplos valores e formas, no ambiente construído e nas interações humanas ao longo do tempo. Adaptada à cultura urbana em constante mudança, é um palimpsesto onde a história é reescrita, deixando legados culturais de diferentes civilizações e culturas.
Este estudo aborda os princípios compositivos o impacto percetivo no observador de estudos de caso paradigmáticos, ao longo de um itinerário histórico, que liga a ágora grega, o fórum romano, as praças da Idade Média e as Places Royales. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. The Laboratory of Intervention in Architecture in situ / experiment
Get PDFUIDB/04647/2020 UIDP/04647/2020This chapter discusses the role of collaborative practices for the production of public spaces. The growing complexity of urban contexts, due to changes in the production model and in urban activities is a challenge for scholars, technicians and residents. In this context collaborative practices have been a common approach in urban interventions in the last decades. The text presents eight editions of the project Laboratory of Intervention in Architecture in situ/, from 2012 to 2018. It is a project of intervention in local public spaces with the partnerships of the Municipality of Almada and numerous local institutions, using collaborative practices as methodological approach. In situ/ is also a learning process, as it is coordinated by a research centre, and has a strong concern with the educational aspects of these living labs and with urban research. Different research themes have been addressed – such as informal neighbourhoods, old industrial areas or coastal environmental protection – but they all have a common ground: how can communities (be they academic, local or institutional) contribute to solve territorial problems in transitional urban contexts using public space as a mediation and negotiation tool? In situ/ projects aim to promote innovative teaching and learning experiences outside the academic context, in multidisciplinary and diverse social and cultural contexts, but also to investigate issues of the city in transition and intervene in real contexts of action, promoting diversified partnerships with local entities, designing and building solutions to the challenges of contemporary metropolitan contexts, thus contributing to improve the quality of life of the populations. Along the same lines, this chapter aims to present the laboratories’ methodological approach, focusing on the organizational aspects, the importance of all the actors involved and of the learning experience.publishersversionpublishe
