Pengembangan Kawasan Eduwisata Rajendra Farm Dusun Trayu sebagai Eduwisata Internasional: Indonesia
The development of the Rajendra Farm educational tourism area in Dusun Trayu as an international educational tourism destination is a strategic step in promoting sustainable tourism and education in Indonesia. Dusun Trayu, located in an underdeveloped area, has great potential to become a center for learning about nature and culture, attracting both local and international tourists. This study aims to outline some key aspects of the development of the Rajendra Farm educational tourism area in Dusun Trayu as an international educational tourism destination. Rajendra Farm was initiated by Mr. Heri Kurniawan in 2008, initially as a small-scale sheep farm. This sheep farm continued to develop and underwent its fair share of ups and downs until 2016 when it finally established a successful farming system. From that point on, it was able to collaborate with livestock organizations in Yogyakarta. Rajendra Farm has since partnered with Karang Taruna Trayu, Ngargosari Tourist Village, the Ministry of Agriculture, and Jalaluddin. Its primary goal is to facilitate qurban (sacrificial) activities. As the business evolved, Rajendra Farm expanded into educational tourism related to sheep farming. However, this educational tourism was incomplete due to a lack of glamping facilities, photography spots, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Therefore, as a civil engineering student, the author assisted Rajendra Farm in developing its educational tourism, particularly in designing a restaurant. Based on the existing conditions at Rajendra Farm, which already had foundations, floor slabs, columns, and a roof in place, the author created a 3D restaurant design to provide a visual representation of the restaurant that will be built at Rajendra Farm

Extract of buckwheat sprouts scavenges oxidation and inhibits pro-inflammatory mediators in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated macrophages (RAW264.7)
OBJECTIVE: Buckwheat has been considered as a potential source of nutraceutical components on the world market of probiotic foodstuffs. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum) sprouts on oxidation and pro-inflammatory mediators. METHODS: The anti-oxidant effects of buckwheat extract (BWE) and rutin were evaluated by using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH)- and nitric oxide (NO)-scavenging activities, serum peroxidation and chelating assays. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 cells were used to evaluate anti-inflammatory activities of buckwheat and rutin. NO production in LPSstimulated RAW264.7 cells was determined by using Griess reagent. The expressions of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) p65 subunit in cytosolic and nuclear portions were determined by Western blot analysis. Also, the production of inflammatory cytokines interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. RESULTS: Inhibitory concentration 50 values for DPPH- and NO-scavenging activities of BWE were 24.97 and 72.54 μg/mL respectively. BWE inhibited serum oxidation and possessed chelating activity. Furthermore, BWE inhibited IL-6 and TNF-α production in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Also, BWE inhibited iNOS and COX-2 expression and NF-κB p65 translocation. CONCLUSION: Buckwheat sprouts possessed strong antioxidant activity and inhibited production of pro-inflammatory mediators in the applied model systems. Thus, buckwheat can be suggested to be beneficial in inflammatory diseases by inhibiting the free radicals and inflammatory mediators. © 2013 Rajendra Karki et al.N
Renegotiating Boundaries on Bali Coastal Tourist Resorts
This paper proposes a definition and application of the territorial boundary in Bali coastal tourist resorts between private owners and public space, to overcome ongoing disputes over land ownership between privately run organisations and the state. The rationale behind this investigation is in response to significant problems in these areas arising from different interests, activities and priorities being in conflict. The investigation focuses on the territorial demarcations of beaches in which a lack of effective planning law has resulted in negative impacts on social, economic, political and environmental interests. According to recent research, the area is impacted upon by physical problems emerging not only from offshore but also on shore activities. If this problem is not properly resolved then there will be serious implications for social cohesion and environmental sustainability, adversely affecting all parties and Bali as a whole. Therefore, a review of the legal, spatial and socio-political aspects of the boundary will hopefully contribute to finding a solution to sustain the areas as the most popular tourist attractions in Bali

Risk factors and prevention of cardiovascular disease among Asian-Indian men in a U.S. managed care organization
Researchers have reported higher rates of cardiovascular disease (CVD) clinical risk factors including diabetes mellitus (DM), hypertension, and dyslipidemia in Asian-Indians. We sought to examine lifestyle/behavioral CVD risk factors overall and by vegetarian/non-vegetarian status, as well as CVD clinical risk factors in Asian-Indian men compared to white non-Hispanic men (WNH). Eligible men were recruited from Kaiser Permanente Southern and Northern California into the California Men’s Health Study (CMHS) Cohort between 2002-2003. Asian-Indians more often reported a healthy BMI (18.5-24.9), and consumed 3.5 hours/week. Vegetarians more often consumed a lower fat diet compared to non-vegetarians [Adjusted Odds Ratio (AOR) = 3.22; (95% Confidence Interval) (95% CI) 2.80-3.71]. Vegetarians reported consuming more fruits and vegetables; however a statistically significant difference was not detected among Asian-Indians. Further, WNH vegetarians reported less sedentary activity [AOR = 0.65; 95% CI 0.54-0.78] and more moderate/vigorous physical activity [AOR = 1.87; 95% CI 1.55-2.25] than WNH non-vegetarians, however this was not the case among Asian-Indians. We found Asian-Indians had higher rates of DM and dyslipidemia compared to WNHs. Asian-Indians more often had lower mean systolic, diastolic and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels compared to WNHs. Although control of hypertension and dyslipidemia was similar in the two populations, overall only 50% of men had LDL and triglyceride levels under the target values for control. Our examination of lifestyle related CVD risk factors found evidence for both potentially protective and harmful health behaviors among Asian-Indian men. Overall, we found that WNH vegetarians lead a healthier lifestyle (consuming lower fat diets and more fruits and vegetables, and participating in more physical activity and less sedentary behaviors) compared to non-vegetarians. Finally, our examination of clinical CVD risk factors found evidence for increased clinical risk factors (DM and dyslipidemia) and clustering of clinical risk factors for CVD among Asian-Indians.Ph.
