    This paper broadly discusses the customer portfolio theories and their implications in reference to marketing and purchasing perspectives. It provides an insight into how marketers interpret and describe companies' actions. The central theme of the paper - the tools that can be used to facilitate relationship management. The discussion in the paper provides a framework for relationship management, the central tenet of which is to enable managers to invest their resources in the most efficient and effective way. The contributions to the understanding of relationship management are critically reviewed in the following sections. The alternative models have been developed in reference to the market environment and values concepts in reference to the triadic relationship among the organization, supplier and customer has been discussed in the contemporary managerial perspectives.     A generalization of the classical Euler and Korteweg fluids

    summary:The aim of this short paper is threefold. First, we develop an implicit generalization of a constitutive relation introduced by Korteweg (1901) that can describe the phenomenon of capillarity. Second, using a sub-class of the constitutive relations (implicit Euler equations), we show that even in that simple situation more than one of the members of the sub-class may be able to describe one or a set of experiments one is interested in describing, and we must determine which amongst these constitutive relations is the best by culling the class by systematically comparing against an increasing set of observations. (The implicit generalization developed in this paper is not a sub-class of the implicit generalization of the Navier-Stokes fluid developed by Rajagopal (2003), (2006) or the generalization due to Průša and Rajagopal (2012), as spatial gradients of the density appear in the constitutive relation developed by Korteweg (1901).) Third, we introduce a challenging set of partial differential equations that would lead to new techniques in both analysis and numerical analysis to study such equations

    Identifying the 3FHL Catalog. VI. Results of the 2019 Gemini Optical Spectroscopy

    Active galactic nuclei with their relativistic jets pointed toward the observer are a class of luminous gamma-ray sources commonly known as blazars. The study of this source class is essential to unveil the physical processes powering these extreme jets, to understand their cosmic evolution, as well as to indirectly probe the extragalactic background light. To do so, however, one needs to correctly classify and measure a redshift for a large sample of these sources. The Third Fermi–LAT Catalog of High-Energy Sources (3FHL) contains 1212 blazars detected at energies greater than 10 GeV. However, ∼25% of these sources are unclassified and ∼56% lack redshift information. To increase the optical completeness of blazars in the 3FHL catalog, we devised an optical spectroscopic follow-up campaign using 4 m and 8 m telescopes. In this paper, we present the results of the last part of this campaign, where we observed 5 blazars using the 8 m Gemini-S telescope in Chile. We report all the 5 sources to be classified as BL Lacs, a redshift lower limit for 2 sources, and featureless spectra for the remaining 3 sources. We also performed a one-zone leptonic fit to the two sources with the redshift lower limits

    Diffusive author(s), cohesive author: Analysis of S/N (1994)

    This study indicates the ways in which various aspects of the author(s) are brought forth in Dumb type’s performance art, the S/N production. Previous research has suggested a non-hierarchical organization of Dumb type and the absence of a “privileged author” in Dumb type’s collaborative work, S/N. However, the results that I have investigated from member’s interviews on the creative process of S/N along with my analysis of the recorded images of S/N, indicate a different aspect of the author(s). First, S/N was created through, so to speak, the collective ideas of the members of Dumb type. Further, S/N has at least nine quotations from previous performances, installations, and printed writings, besides the work-in-progress technique. Explicating one of the “author functions” as given by Michel Foucault, each text has plural subjects of the author. However, it has been revealed from members’ interviews that Teiji Furuhashi had a decision-making role in selecting the members’ ideas within the performance. Since then, S/N has had plural subjects of creation; however, Furuhashi is one of the subjects of creation along with the “privileged author.” S/N has plural authors (diffusive authors) yet at the same time, it has a “privileged author,” Teiji Furuhashi (cohesive author)
