    The Use of Freewriting Technique in Improving Writing Ability of Class XI Students at MAN 4 Banjar in the Academic Year 2017/2018

    This research describes about the freewriting technique in improving students’ ability in writing at XI class at MAN 4 Banjar. The students in this research are 47 students from XI Bahasa consist 18 students and XI IPS 2 consist 29 students. The objectives of this research are to know whether the use of freewriting is effective or not to improve the students’ writing of class XI at MAN 4 Banjar and whether there is any significant difference achievement of students’ who use the freewriting technique or not. This research is an experimental research. For data collection the researcher did the observation also used the test. The researcher analyzes the data descriptive quantitatively. The results of this research indicates that the use of freewriting technique is effective to improve the students’ writing ability of class XI students at MAN 4 Banjar and there is a significant difference achievement for the students who use the freewriting than the students who use guided writing. However, the use of freewriting technique is success to improve the students’ writing ability and the students’ achievement of class XI at MAN 4 Banjar

    Numerical Modeling of Spin Waves in Magnetic Thin Films

    Magnonics is a newly emerging area of magnetism, wherein new classes of devices can be foreseen. Here magnetic spin waves can be utilized to store, carry and process information. Due to particular properties of spin wave spectra, magnonic devices offer new functionalities that are currently unavailable in electronic devices. For example, magnonic devices are easily manipulated by the applied magnetic field. As an emerging area, it opens up a number of challenges and problems that need to be addressed, such as governing the propagation of spin waves using nano-patterned media. From a computation point of view, the governing dynamics can be modeled by extending the mathematical formalism of Landau- Lifshitz (LL) equation. This lead to the development of micromagnetic solvers for the modeling of magnetization dynamics and for the interpretation of the experimental results in complex magnetic structures. For this purpose we developed a micromagnetic solver in MATLAB for the solution of LL equation. For a micromagnetic solver the computation of the effective field and an efficient time-stepping scheme are of significant importance. For this purpose we have utilized the Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT) in our solver for the computation of the magnetostatic field that reduced the computational complexity of the system. A novel time stepping scheme is also proposed which exploited the properties of the mid-point rule and Runge-Kutta scheme. The proposed scheme preserves the magnetization dynamics and provides a larger time step with fewer computations of the effective field per time step. The solver was validated by simulating μ-mag standard problem 4 and the results were compared to the standard micromagnetic solver OOMMF, which were in close agreement

    Abstract: The history of the Indonesian nation is a long historical journey. In general, the Indonesian people were colonized for three and a half centuries by European countries, such as the Portuguese, Spanish, British, Dutch, and occupied for three and a half years by the Japanese. Indonesia at that time was a country that had rich and abundant natural resources. The Japanese have entered Indonesia since March 1, 1942. The Japanese territory the Island of Sumatera was centered in Bukittinggi.The Japanese successed in taking control of South Bengkulu on February 24, 1942. During 1942 Japan lauched its colonial action in South Bengkulu by expanding its territory. This research uses historical research methods. The results of the research on the role of Abdur Rahim Damrah in the fight against Japanese Colonalism in South Bengkulu in 1943-1945 were initiated by Abdur Rahim Damrah attending Gyugun education in Pagaralam. Abdur Rahim Damrah becomes the leader Penjaga Keamanan Rakyat (PKR) in South Bengkulu, he led the battles against the Japanese army. Armed with Gyuguns previous military education, he fought against the Japanese occupation in South Bengkulu. Discussion and consolidation of the leaders and people of South Bengkulu was carried out, after the consolidation was completed they immediately moved to attack Japan. Because of the attack, Abdur Rahim Damrah was arrested and punished.    &nbsp

    ASSOCIATION OF THE EXPRESSION LEVELS OF TRANSCRIPTION FACTORS WITH THE PHENOTYPES AND GENOTYPES OF PEACH FRUITS THAT DIFFER IN THEIR QUALITATIVE CHARACTERISTICS

    Anthocyanins are plant bioactive compounds that control color of many vegetables, flowers, fruit, roots and other plant parts. In peach [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch], color is a key determinant for fruit quality and depends by flovonoids including anthocyanins. These bioactive molecules have potential benefits to human health including protection against cancer, cardiovascular diseases, inflammation and other chronic diseases. The R2R3-MYB transcription factors (TFs) control the expression of genes for the synthesis of anthocyanin pigments with the help of co-activators belonging to the basic-helix-loop-helix (bHLH) and WD40 repeat family. In the peach genome, through this study three MYB10-like (MYB10.1, MYB10.2 and MYB10.3) and three bHLH-like (bHLH3, bHLH33 and GL3) TFs were identified as best candidates to be the regulators of the anthocyanin accumulation in peach. Among these MYB10s, MYB10.1 is the highly expressed gene in ripe peach fruits. The accumulation of anthocyanins in yellow flesh peach fruits is highest in the peel, abundant in the part of the mesocarp surrounding the stone and lowest in the mesocarp. The expression of MYB10.1 and MYB10.3 genes were correlated with anthocyanin levels of different peach parts. They have also positive correlation with the key structural genes of the anthocyanin pathway, like chalcone synthase (CHS), flavanone-3?-hydroxylase (F3H), dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (DFR) and UDP-glucose:flavonoid-3-O-glucosyltransferase (UFGT). Functions of peach MYB10s were tested in tobacco and shown to activate key genes in the anthocyanin pathway when bHLHs were co-expressed as partners. Over-expression of MYB10.1/bHLH3 and MYB10.3/bHLH3 activated anthocyanin production by up-regulating NtCHS, NtDFR and NtUFGT while other combinations were not effective. To better understand the role of MYB10.1 in anthocyanin synthesis during peach ripening, its coding sequence has been constitutively expressed in tobacco transgenic plants. Its over-expression induce anthocyanin pigmentation in the reproductive parts of transgenic tobacco lines through the up-regulation of transcript levels of many important genes involved in the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway like phenylalanineammonia-lyase (NtPAL), NtCHS, chalcone isomerase (NtCHI), NtF3H, NtDFR, anthocyanin synthase (NtANS) and NtUFGT. The pigment accumulation was always limited to reproductive parts and never present in the vegetative part like stem and leaves. Besides the regulation of anthocyanin biosynthesis, the ectopic expression of MYB10.1 leads to two different types of phenotype in transgenic as compared to WT tobacco. The strong phenotype, called type-I, is characterized by irregular leaf shape and size, reduced plant height, stamens with reduced filament length and non-dehiscing anthers, reduced pistil length, no nectary gland formation and reduced capsule development but pigmented reproductive parts including androecium, gynoecium and petals. On the contrary, so-called type-II plants, have a mild phenotype with regular plant growth and development, but purple seed coats. Surprisingly, the over-expression of MYB10.1 altered the floral development in transgenic tobacco lines. In type-I transgenic plants, the over-expression of peach MYB10.1 leads to down-regulation of NtMYB305, a gene similar, but not orthologous, to MYB10.1, which is required for floral development. Moreover, MYB10.1 up-regulates the expression of jasmonic acid (JA) biosynthesis (allene oxide synthase, NtAOS) and signaling (NtJAZd) pathway genes as well as 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate oxidase (NtACO), a key gene in ethylene synthesis. Furthermore, NECTARIN1 (NtNCE1) that is known to be involved in nectary gland formation, was repressed since its transcription is regulated by NtMYB305. On the contrary, type-II transgenic plants showed opposite results for NtMYB305, NtAOS, NtJAZd and NtNEC1. Therefore, it can be concluded that the over-expression of peach MYB10.1 in tobacco not only regulates flavonoid biosynthesis in the reproductive parts but also affects (directly and/or indirectly) other process like vegetative and reproductive development. These new findings will promote further investigation to elucidate more diverse role of R2R3-MYB TFs. Furthermore, they will promote more and better insights on the regulation of anthocyanin biosynthesis and will aid fruit breeders to introduce new peach cultivars with higher antioxidant level as well as colored fruit

    COGMAN: A cognitive management framework to support exploitation of the Future Internet

    In this article, a cognitive management framework is proposed for ensuring exploitation of the Future Internet (FI). Cognitive systems offer self-x and learning. A cognitive system has the ability to dynamically select its behavior through self-management/awareness functionality, taking into account information and knowledge on the context of the operations as well as policies and including the generation of the context itself. The framework is based on the principle that any real world object and any digital object that is available, accessible, observable or controllable can have a virtual representation in the Future Internet, which is called Virtual Object (VO). Basic VOs can be composed in a more sophisticated way by forming Composite VOs (CVOs), which provide services to high-level applications and end-users. The described paradigm is applied to various applications scenarios: smart home, smart office, smart city and smart business. This paper presents some background in IoT, identifies the requirements and challenges, and sets the directions that should be followed
