    The studies by the outstanding archaeologist V.F. Gening in the field of the Volga-Ural antiquities of the turn of the eras, namely the Glyadenovo-Pyanoborye community of the Kama region are analyzed. In this region, V.F. Gening supervised field research of a number of settlements and burial grounds. He singled out a number of cultures that had previously been considered local variants, namely the Osinovo, Garevaya, Azelino and Mazunino cultures, whose status within this community, as well dating are still debatable. The cultural and historical assessment of the unique monuments such as bone beds by him is regarded as incorrect by the author. V.F. Gening attributed them as burial grounds, whereas today they are viewed as traces of human sacrifice

    Technology of maintenance, feeding and cultivation breeding repair young animals

    After studying the technology of keeping, feeding and rearing breeding repair young cattle of dairy production from birth to 18 months, it was found that calves from birth to one month of age are kept in individual houses, and from 3 months to 18 months, group care is free in machines both indoors and on walking grounds (from 15 to 80 heads). As the age of breeding repair young animals increases, the concentration of energy feed units per 1 kg of dry matter decreases from 1.22 to 0.98. Similarly, there was a decrease in digestible protein per ECU from 121 g to 85 g. Conversely, as the pancreas developed and the animals grew, the consumption of crude fiber in the dry matter of the diet increased from 13.7% to 25.4%. Over the past five years of research, the daily increment of muscle and adipose tissue in breeding bulls for a year was at least 900 g, and in repair heifers for a year and a half – at a level of at least 770 g. Such growth dynamics helped the repair heifers to reach a live weight of 380 kg at 14 months and fruitfully inseminate them. During the study period, the farm increased the sale of breeding repair bulls by 54.5% and breeding repair heifers by 2.47 times to breeding and commodity farms in the region, compared with 2019

    The article presents data on the study of the efficiency of growing bulls aged 6–12 months when protein feed treated with organic acids is included in the diet, which increases the efficiency of the use of feed nitrogen for production, the average daily growth increases by 7,9–8,3%. The cost of 1 kg of growth in those groups that were injected with high protein feed treated with acetic acid decreased by 5,97%, propionic – by 0,78%, which allowed to increase profits by 40,6% and 28,4%, respectively.В статье приведены данные по изучению эффективности выращивания бычков в возрасте 6–12 месяцев при включении в рацион белковых кормов, обработанных органическими кислотами, что повышает эффективность использования азота корма на продукцию, среднесуточные приросты возрастают на 7,9-8,3 %. Себестоимость 1 кг прироста в тех группах, которым вводился высокобелковый корм, обработанный уксусной кислотой, снизилась на 5,97 %, пропионовой − на 0,78 %, что позволило увеличить прибыль на 40,6 % и 28,4 % соответственно

    In the conducted studies, it was found that the processing of the pelus grain with propionic acid reduces the protein splitting in the rumen by 18 pp, the content of ammonia in the ru men fluid by 17,5%, the infusoria by 2,4% and increases the amount of volatile fatty acids by 1,6%, hemoglobin content in the blood by 3,1%, total protein - by 5,6, calcium - by 4,7 and phosphorus - by 5,4% respectively, reduces the level of glucose and urea by 2,1% and 7,4 four%. Feeding acid-treated grain improves the efficiency of the productive action of the feed.     ORGANIC TRACE ELEMENT COMPLEX FOR CALVES FEEDING

    Trace elements are commonly used in the form of inorganic salts poorly digested by ruminants due rumen microflora, which transits its greater part into indigestible and insoluble form. Trace elements in the form of chelates are supplied with amino acids and peptides, and used by the body much more efficiently. Inclusion of organic trace element complex (OMEK) in compound feed KR–1 in the amount of 10% of the existing standards for trace elements content in typical formulations for growing young cattle for meat has a positive impact on palatability of feeds, morphological and biochemical composition of blood and animals’ performance, economic efficiency of calves fattening. Use of organic trace element complex in compound feeds KR–1 increases concentration of total protein in blood by 8 – 12% (P < 0.05), reduces the amount of urea by 11 – 16% (P < 0.05). Comparative analysis showed that animals in experimental group II used the feeds more efficiently. Metabolizable energy consumption per 1 kg of weight gain made 33.7 MJ against 37.4 MJ in the control group or by 9.9% lower, the same trend is established for digestible protein cost – by 10%. Inclusion of OMEK in compound feed KR–1 for young cattle ensures average daily weight gain increase by 12.3% (P < 0.05), decreased of feed cost per 1 kg of weight gain by 10%. Use of organic trace element complex helps to decrease the cost price of weight gain, by 9.0% and obtain extra profit of $37.2 USD per one animal during the experimental period.

    Typical features of Upper-Kama dwellings characteristic of the final stage of the Early Iron Age, which have become a “calling card” of the Glyadenovo cultural community (the so-called Fedotovo type), are analyzed in the article. In the past half-century, the data on dwellings investigated by V.F. Gening at the Fedotovo fortified settlement have been substantially completed by materials from the newly-excavated settlements. It is suggested that the differences in dwelling construction technology on different Glyadenovo culture sites cannot be invariably regarded as cultural and chronological features but often bear an adaptive character, i.e. depend on the natural environment. The version of the Fedotovo dwellings reconstruction proposed in the early works by V.F. Gening also needs some correction, which is offered by the author in accordance with a number of features
