Author Rytis Lekstutis. Project for Implementing Smart Technologies in Rural Regions. Graduation Thesis. Supervisor PhD Rimantas Plėštys. Kauno kolegija HEI, Faculty of Technologies, Department of Informatics and Media Technologies. Kaunas, 2024, 50 pages.
Keywords: Passive optical network, smart technologies, optical splitters.
The work is designed for implementing a passive optical network in Klovainiai village. In this project, the main idea is the application of smart technologies in a rural region. An analysis of smart technologies has been carried out and it has been found that smart technologies can be connected via radio wave communication or via a passive optical network. Since there is currently no radio wave connection in Klovainiai, it is proposed to implement PON technology, it was determined that the XGS-PON technology fits the best. After an analysis of the technologies suitable for the Internet of things, it was found that the technology of low-power communication network (LPWAN) is the most suitable. The calculation of the technical parameters required for the implementation of the network was performed, and the network vulnerability vector was estimated. Project implementation and support costs are calculated.
The project consists of the following parts: introduction, analytical part, project specification, design part, economic part, conclusions and list of used literature.Autorius Rytis Lekstutis. He worked in Batumi as district architect, later he had been attached to Persia. Then he worked as a consul of Lithuania, as Lithuanian Republic started to establish diplomatic missions abroad. He returned to Lithuania in 1923 and worked as an architect. There is no information about him since April 11, 1940, when one of his latest design projects was signed. R. R. Steikūnas had projected one building of the bank, the churches in Karmėlava and Skardupiai, parish hall with cinema in Marijampolė, shelter in Eiguliai, three resort buildings in Birštonas, villa in Lampėdžiai. It is considered that he is the author of the design project of the cathedral in Panevėžys together with Alexander Gordevich. The projects with his signature which had been found in the archives have confirmed his authorship. Projects designed by R. R. Steikūnas reflect the popular trend of that timethe search of national architectural style. One can find the stylistics of the Lithuanian small manor and vernacular architecture and ornaments in the wooden resort structures. The architect varied neoromanic, neogothic shapes in his other projects. Motives of the wooden bell towers has been exploited as well. The spirit of the Thirtieth of the XXth century is prominent in the building of the theatre of Marijampolė
Possibilities of Applying Different Trumpet Teaching Methods at the Early Stage of Education.
The aim of the Master‘s degree thesis – to analyse the problems of the right playing the trumpet: formation of (physical and psychological) skills, motivation of the young trumpeters determinant factors, the attitude of the trumpet teachers towards the various countries of the trumpet, schools and methodologies. In the theoretical part of the thesis formal education complementing the education legislation is examined, childhood developmental stages are presented, Russian and Western countries’ various trumpeter’s training schools at the early stage of education are presented. In the second part of the thesis the author analyses the specifics of playing the trumpet and principles, a variety of teaching methods playing the trumpet are reviewed. In a quantitative research aimed to find out application possibilities of various methods and the efficiency at the early stage of education of playing the trumpet. With a reference to the raised hypothetical assumption the research was carried out that many trumpet’s teachers use outdated techniques, they are not familiar with a variety of innovative and effective educational methods at the early stage of the trumpeters’ education. In the research Telsiai district (Plunge, Telsiai, Mazeikiai, Seda, Plateliai, Rietavas) music and art schools’ 18 teachers of trumpet specialty participated. It was determined that there are not methodological publications and literature for the early stage of trumpeters’ education, many respondents use a little literature of Western countries’ methodical teaching trumpet at the early stage of education in their pedagogical work. Teachers who are using these publications achieve significantly better results of their students in various national and international competitions and festivals. The hypothesis of the research approved: the most trumpeters’ teachers – at the early stage of trumpeters’ education do not use various literature from the Western countries, often in their pedagogical work guided by their experience. The author of this thesis has prepared the program for the music and art schools and recommendations for the trumpeters’ at the early stage of education
THE DEVELOPMENT AND PERIODS OF EDVARD GRIEG’S ORCHESTRAL STYLE
Edvard Grieg considered the orchestration of his compositions as a very important means of creative expression. In spite of its seemingly simple character, Grieg’s orchestral style is colourful and versatile. It is based on full concordance of the orchestral means with the other elements of composer’s music. Grieg began with the orchestral style based on firmly established traditions and later deviated towards more colourful and refined way of scoring which suited best for the specific musical images of his creations. The effectiveness of Grieg’s orchestration lies first of all in properly chosen and proportionally distributed roles of the orchestral sections and individual timbres. The author of this article made an attempt to establish the approximate periods of Grieg’s orchestration style and to introduce their main traits. Relying on the analysis carried out in this article, it was possible to discern four periods of Grieg’s orchestration style development. The boundaries of these periods are approximate and based on their predominant orchestration features
Estimation of alternative wall insulating solutions using the method of technological network model “cutting out” junctions/Sienų šiltinimo alternatyvių sprendimų įvertinimas, taikant technologinio tinklinio modelio mazgų “išpjovimo” metodą
The article investigates the problem of the dwelling house wall insulation of many-variant decisions estimation. At present multi-criteria evaluation methods are used. They provide the formal algorithm of the final effective selection of solution.
However, during the optimisation of the decisions it is expedient to analyse the efficiency of intermediate decisions and those influencing the final findings.
With that end in view the author suggests the multi- criteria problem of the evaluations of the variant decision using the method or technological network model of “cutting out” junctions.
The main points of this method are:
• To cut out a comparable variant junction. Comparable variant junction is such a junction that contains at least two technological process variants.
• To determine comparable partial processes to the junction.
• To carry out a multi-criteria evaluation.
• To eliminate non-rational variants from further calculations.
• To pick out the most effective decision for the junction.
From such decisions the complex process variants of wall insulation are made and multi-criteria evaluation is repeated.
This method increases the abilities to raise the number of the partial alternative decisions for establishing the effectiveness ot the intermediate decisions, to receive and verify quickly final results of the decision evaluation and to decrease the amount of the calculations. “Cutting out” junction method can be used for estimating the decisions of building thermal renovation at the designing stage.

Valery Podoroga's theory of mimesis: the sensory aspects of text perception
The paper aims to analyse and understand tensions and meanings in the notion of mimesis in the perspective of philosophical anthropology. Classical mimesis theories, which stretch from classical antiquity to modern works by E. Auerbach or P. Ricoeur, are often associated with poetics, narratology or other literature theory studies. V. Podoroga talks about anthropological and phenomenological mimesis, not only about ‘external’, Aristotelian version, but also about internal mimesis. He focuses on the experience of the body as the basis of mimesis. The author explains how mimesis in Podoroga’s version acquires new meanings and demonstrates how Podoroga’s matrixes of anthropograms complement, discuss and transgress hermeneutical models of Ricoeur. The author claims that the method of Podoroga brings us to some kind of a unique ‘system’, that could be compared to the ideas of ‘the death of the author’ (R. Barthes) or ‘the open work’ (U. Eco). Podoroga shows us an alternative, non-semiotic and mimetic approach in contemporary thought, that has not been widely discussed yet in both Russian and English sources. Humanitarinių mokslų fakultetas / Faculty of HumanitiesVytauto Didžiojo universitetas / Vytautas Magnus Universit
