De rol van de Raad van Advies binnen Nederlandse familiebedrijven
No full textVoor deze scriptie is onderzoek gedaan naar de invulling van de rol van de Raad van Advies onder
Nederlandse familiebedrijven. De onderzoeksvraag die hierbij centraal heeft gestaan luidt: “Hoe
wordt de rol van de Raad van Advies binnen Nederlandse familiebedrijven ingevuld?”. Het doel
van dit onderzoek is kennis en inzichten te ontwikkelen in hoe de rol van de adviesraad binnen
Nederlandse familiebedrijven wordt ingevuld. Dit onderzoek is relevant omdat er in de literatuur
weinig over de invulling van de Raad van Advies binnen Nederlandse familiebedrijven wordt
geschreven, terwijl Nederlandse familiebedrijven ruim de helft van het Nederlands binnenlands
product vertegenwoordigen (Flören, Uhlaner, & Berent-Braun, 2010) en 4% van deze bedrijven een
Raad van Advies heeft (Berent-Braun et al., 2013). Volgens onderzoek door Erasmus Centre For
Family Business (2016) behaalt 70% van de familiebedrijven de eerste generatiewisseling niet door
o.a. faillissementen. Een adviesraad kan het (nieuwe) bestuur adviseren, wat kan zorgen voor een
betere continuïteit van het bedrijf. Meer inzicht in de specifieke invulling van de rol van de Raad
van Advies kan hierbij helpen en dat maakt dit onderzoek relevant.
Voor dit onderzoek zijn in eerste instantie pilot interviews uitgevoerd. Aansluitend zijn er cases
bestudeerd door met leden van de Raad van Advies semigestructureerde diepte-interviews af te
nemen. Bij het samenstellen van de steekproef is gebruik gemaakt van de “purposive sampling”
procedure (Saunders, Lewis en Thornhill, 2009). Deze methode geeft aan dat de geselecteerde
respondenten aan een aantal criteria moeten voldoen. Voor deze scriptie zijn drie criteria gebruikt,
namelijk dat de geïnterviewde lid moet zijn van de Raad van Advies van een familiebedrijf. Het
tweede criterium is dat het een Nederlands familiebedrijf moet zijn, die aan de definitie van Flören
(2002, 2005) voldoet, welke in lijn is met de Europese definitie (Europese Commissie, 2009). Het
derde criterium is dat de Raad van Advies voldoet aan de definitie van Van Helvert-Beugels (2016):
“een team van gecommitteerde externen die in groepsverband en gedurende een langere periode
de beslissingsbevoegden uit het familiebedrijf op regelmatige basis ontmoeten, en wiens rol primair
is om te reflecteren op en te adviseren over strategische kwesties en het besluitvormingsproces van
het familiebedrijf”.
Uit dit onderzoek blijkt dat familiebedrijven met Raad van Advies veelal in de uitbreidings- of
volwassenheidsfase verkeren. Twee verklaringen volgens de literatuur waarom familiebedrijven
geen Raad van Advies hebben, is dat er geen behoefte aan advies is en anderzijds de hoge kosten
(Berent-Braun et al., 2013). Het ontbreken van kapitaal lijkt in de opstartfase de meest
waarschijnlijke reden. De meest voorkomende redenen waarom de adviesraad aan is gesteld, is
volgens dit onderzoek tweeledig: Ten eerste om de groei van het bedrijf te begeleiden en een
professionaliteitsslag te maken; ten tweede om de aandelenoverdracht naar de volgende generatie
te ondersteunen. De rol van de Raad van Advies wordt voornamelijk ingevuld door zich als
klankbord voor het management op te stellen en door kritische vragen te stellen. Uit dit onderzoek
kan geconcludeerd worden dat door de actieve behoefte aan de kritische blik van de Raad van
Advies en het klankborden, de directie met Raad van Advies een growth mindset heeft. Mensen met
een growth mindset gaan er vanuit dat intelligentie kan ontwikkelen door o.a. kritiek, terwijl mensen
met een fixed mindset negatieve feedback over het algemeen meer negeren

In the computational experiments we found dependences of the given oscillations on the ratio of the coefficients. These dependences are shown in graphs that can be used for an approximate estimation of the Mathieu equation solutions without integration

No full textA través de un título sugerente, “pensar las escalas para pensar las luchas”, Mathieu Uhel entreteje la construcción teórico-crítica del concepto escala, generada por la geografía radical anglosajona de finales del siglo XX, con la necesidad/utilidad práctica de la escala para concienciar las luchas sociales. El artículo cumple un doble propósito: por un lado, delinear los elementos de lectura sobre el concepto escala; y, con ello, promover la atención de esta problemática en las luchas contemporáneas. En un primer apartado, Uhel ubica las discusiones académicas en torno a la escala, como herramienta metodológica útil para comprender la complejidad de las sociedades capitalistas; en el segundo apartado, el autor avanza la exposición en torno al contexto de la dimensión escalar del imperialismo capitalista; finalmente, el autor se centra en el rol de la actividad política a escala nacional en la tensa relación entre las imposiciones del capital y la lucha social.Por meio de um título sugestivo, “pensando escalas para pensar lutas”, Mathieu Uhel entrelaça a construção teórico-crítica do conceito de escala, gerado pela geografia radical anglo-saxônica do final do século XX, com a necessidade / utilidade prática escala para aumentar a consciência das lutas sociais. In particular, the author establishes a line of demarcation between cultivated and uncultivated resources in order to verify which constitutes an indication of the level of industrial development of medieval textile production. This further focuses on how the transition from the exploitation of wild resources to the exploitation of cultivated resources could reflect a greater degree of economic integration between the countryside and the city and contribute to the formation of a regional economic space
