dalam memberi kan mat eri masih murni menggunakan metode ceramah. Untuk
mengatasi ma salah tersebut guru dapat menggunakan metode yang bervar iasi yang
sesuai dengan mater i maupun kar akter ist ik s iswa.
Rumusan masal ah peneli tian ini adalah : (1) bagaimanakah peni ngkatan
aktivit as sis wa selama proses pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan metode
ksperimen pada sis wa kel as V SDN sid omul yo 02 Kecamatan Semboro Kabupaten
Jember; ( 2) bagaimanakah pen in gkatan h asi l bela jar IPA menggun akan me tode
eksperimen pada sis wa kel as V SDN Sidomulyo 02 Kec ama tan Sembo ro Kabupaten

Tujuan dari pen elit ian ini yaitu untuk meni ngkatkan aktivit as dan hasil be lajar
si swa ke las V SD Negeri Sidomulyo 02 Kecamatan Semboro Kabupaten Jember.
Pene lit ian ini menggunakan metode ekspe rimen at au per cobaan. Met ode eksperimen
merupakan salah satu pembelaj aran yan g memberikan kesempatan ke pad a s iswa
untuk mengal ami sendiri , me ngi kuti suatu proses, mengamati su at u objek,
mengana lisis, membukti kan dan me nari k kesimpulan sendi ri t ent an g objek dan
keadaan atau pros es tertentu
Kesi mpula n dari hasi l peneli tian ini adalah pener ap an metode eksperimen dapat
meningkatkan akti vi tas dan hasi l bel aj ar siswa. Pe ningkat an aktivi tas dan hasi l bela jar
dapat dil ih at p ada ti ap si kl usnya. Aktivit as be lajar siswa pad a si klus I ter dapat s iswa
yan g s an gat akt if 1 2,5%, s iswa akti f 58,33% dan siswa yang cukup aktif 29 ,17%,
sedangkan pada siklus II akti vi tas bel ajar si swa sangat aktif 37,5%, siswa akt if
45,83% dan siswa yang cukup akti f 16,67%. Dan hasi l be lajar pada si klu s I te rdapat
daya serap klasi kal s ebesar 70,04 % dengan ketuntasan belaj ar s ecara klasi kal 58 ,33%,
sedangakan pada siklus II dat a se rap klasikal sebesar 80,42 % dengan ke tuntasan has il
belaj ar secara klasikal 80,33%.
Hal-hal yang di sarankan dalam penelit ian ini antara l ai n : (1) pe mbel ajaran IPA
dengan men ggunakan metode e ksperimen at au percobaan dap at dijadi kan sebagai
salah satu alternati f pe mbel aj aran IPA, karena dapat membuat siswa tertari k dan
senang dalam mengikuti kegiatan be lajar mengaj ar yang disebab kan siswa dapat
mengalami s end iri sehingga memberikan pen galaman bagi s iswa s ehingga membuat
si swa mer as a senan g dan t idak mudah bo san unt uk be lajar; ( 2) dalam pembelajaran
IPA t idak semua mat eri dapat di te rapkan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen,
sehingga dalam menerapkan met ode e ksperi men per lu dis esuai kan dengan materi
yan g diaj arkan; (3) dal am me laks anakan ke giat an bel aj ar men gaj ar hendaknya

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
