The role of collective motion in examples of coarsening and self-assembly
Get PDFThe simplest prescription for building a patterned structure from its constituents is to add particles, one at a time, to an appropriate template. However, self-organizing molecular and colloidal systems in nature can evolve in much more hierarchical ways. Specifically, constituents (or clusters of constituents) may aggregate to form clusters (or clusters of clusters) that serve as building blocks for later stages of assembly. Here we evaluate the character and consequences of such collective motion in a set of prototypical assembly processes. We do so using computer simulations in which a system's capacity for hierarchical dynamics can be controlled systematically. By explicitly allowing or suppressing collective motion, we quantify its effects. We find that coarsening within a two dimensional attractive lattice gas (and an analogous off-lattice model in three dimensions) is naturally dominated by collective motion over a broad range of temperatures and densities. Under such circumstances, cluster mobility inhibits the development of uniform coexisting phases, especially when macroscopic segregation is strongly favored by thermodynamics. By contrast, the assembly of model viral capsids is not frustrated but is instead facilitated by collective moves, which promote the orderly binding of intermediates consisting of several monomers

The non-perturbative self-consistent method of moments is employed to extend onto quantum fluids, a similar reduction stemming from the fluctuation-dissipation theorem and other exact relations for classical one-component plasmas. The results are compared to and complement the numerical data obtained recently by the path-integral Monte Carlo method. Науковцю вдалося дослідити факти, що стосуються життя і побуду окремих територій України, починаючи від часів її заселення, відтак збагатити збіднене уявлення про явища і події вітчизняної історії.The article highlights the activities of historian, ethnographer, cultural and social activist Borys Ivanovych Tkachenko (born in 1937), the author of 11 books – original studies on the most resonant and painful topics of Ukrainian history. It was established that the author, who is an agronomist and historian by profession, devoted his first works to problematic issues of land management, including ecological factors as the main ones for preserving land resources. Attention is focused on the significant results of B. Tkachenko's research work on the repression of the Soviet authorities in Ukraine in the 1930s of the XX century. In particular, the author's book "Under the Black Brand" was analyzed, which became the first book published in Ukraine that revealed the crimes of the Holodomor in 1932-1933, both on the basis of archival sources and the memories of eyewitnesses. It is noted about B. Tkachenko's significant contribution to the development of local history, in particular his works, which highlight the history of individual territories of Ukraine, starting from the time of their settlement. The researcher managed to research and record facts and documents related to the life and development of a particular area, thereby enriching the impoverished idea of certain phenomena and events of our general history. After all, the general is revealed in the individual, and the individual exists in the general. The scientific work of the researcher as a folklorist in the collection and popularization of folk songs of the region was noted. When writing the article, general historical (comparative-historical, retrospective) methods and the method of source analysis were used.Исследована деятельность историка, этнографа, культурно-общественного деятеля Бориса Ивановича Ткаченко, автора 11 книг – оригинальных исследований по самым резонансным и болезненным темам украинской истории. Констатировано, что первые труды автора – агронома и историка по специальности – посвящены передовым методам хозяйствования на земле, включая экологические факторы как главные для сохранения земельных ресурсов. Акцентировано на весомых результатах научно-исследовательской работы Б. Ткаченко о репрессиях советской власти в Украине в 30-х гг. ХХ ст. Summary
Etiopathogenetic, psychopathogenetic and clinical aspects of cognitive impairments in type 2 diabetes patients have been analyzed and systematized. Etiopathogenetic and psychopathologic classification of cognitive disorders in the group under study is presented. Comorbid cognitive mental disorders for which cognitive impairment is a factor of amplification are detached. Morphological phenomena associated with cognitive insufficiency in the patients under study has been marked. The main tactics for cognitive insufficiency prevention and therapy in type 2 diabetes patients are considered.

Реферат
В статье проанализированы и систематизированы этиопатогенетические, психопатогенетические и клинические аспекты когнитивных нарушений при СД 2-го типа. Приведена этиопатогенетическая и психопатологическая классификация когнитивных нарушений при СД 2-го типа. Рассмотрены коморбидные когнитивным психические расстройства, для которых когнитивные нарушения выступают фактором амплификации. Выделены ассоциированные с когнитивной недостаточностью морфологические феномены у пациентов с СД 2-го типа. Рассмотрены основные тактики профилактики и терапии когнитивной недостаточностью у пациентов с СД 2-го типа.

Abstract
Aim – to analyze the peculiarities of asthenic manifestations in patients with type 2nd diabetes mellitus (DM) in clinical and psychological perspective. Materials and methods. We examined in 543 patients with type 2nd DM. The first clinical group (CG-1) was 57 patients with type 2nd DM of mild severity; the average age in the group was (51,80±1,28) years. The second clinical group (CG-2) made up of 312 patients with type 2nd DM, moderate severity; mean age in the group was (55,10±1,12) years. The third clinical group (CG-3) included 174 patients with type 2nd DM, severe degree of severity; the average age in the group was (61.80±0,85) years. Research methods: clinical-anamnestic, clinical-psychopathological, statistical. Results. The marked prevalence of asthenic syndrome in patients wath type 2nd DM 52,30%, which is almost half among all surveyed type 2nd DM. Discovered the direct correlation of asthenic symptoms with the severity of the type 2nd DM (rs = 0.4033, p<0.01). The factors in the risk of asthenic syndrome in patients with type 2nd DM was installed, among them is dominated by a moderate and severe degree of type 2nd DM, combined with obesity 2 degrees, DEP II degree, ischemic heart disease, heart failure, degenerative dystrophic lesions of the spine. Established that there is a direct correlation asthenic syndrome to the severity of type 2nd DM, as well as the accompanying somatic pathology. Established dominance in CG-1 and CG-2 component fatigue "mental fatigue" and CG-3 component "physical fatigue".
Conclusions. Features of asthenic manifestations in patients with type 2nd DM in clinical and psychological perspective were investigated. The detection rate of asthenic manifestations among patients with type 2nd DM and the factors for their amplification were established. The organic etiology of asthenic manifestations have been proven; presentation about the stages of development of asthenic symptoms in patients with type 2nd DM were improved.

PRS and morphea en coup de sabre (ECDS) have significant overlap, often coexist, and are likely different phenotypes of morphea.1 PRS usually presents in the first decade of life, but later presentations have been described.1 It is more common in females and the pathogenesis is not completely understood.1 Neurologic symptoms are the most common extracutaneous systemic manifestation.
