No full textVengono esaminate innanzitutto le prime teorie derivanti dalla communication research e dai modelli informatici della comunicazione (Shannon e Weaver, Jakobson). Viene poi dedicato ampio spazio alle teorie sul linguaggio e sulla comunicazione che emergono dal panorama strutturalista (Saussure, Hjelmslev, Barthes) e post-strutturalista (Benveniste, Ducrot), dove emergono le dimensioni relative alla soggettività, alla referenzialità e all'indicalità nel linguaggio. Vengono ulteriormente presentate e discusse le teorie concernenti la pragmatica, in particolare, quella relativa agli atti linguistici e agli studi sulla conversazione e l'implicito (P. Grice, R. Lakoff, Sperber e Wilson). La parte scritta da Manetti si conclude con i due capitoli dedicati rispettivamente: il nono, alla comunicazione non verbale (concernente la cinesica, la prossemica, l'aptica, ecc.); il decimo, alle implicazioni teorico-filosofiche delle nuove forme di comunicazione tecnologica

No full textThe aim of this paper is twofold: first, we intend to contribute to the debate on the identification of the features to which syntactic locality expressed in terms of the featural Relativized Minimality/ fRM principle appears to be sensitive (Rizzi 2004; Friedmann, Belletti & Rizzi 2009); second, we aim at providing a better characterization of the distributional and interpretive properties of the process of a-marking in the Topic position of the Italian left periphery identified by syntactic cartography, in relation to (in)animacy (Belletti & Manetti 2019). To these ends, we examined the role of animacy in a production experiment eliciting left dislocated topics with 5-year-old Italian-speaking children. To the extent that a-marking is related to a kind of affectedness of object topics (Belletti 2018a), we examined whether an inanimate left dislocated object could constitute a felicitous a-Topic. Furthermore, the question is directly addressed whether complexity effects in fRM configurations can be modulated in the animacy mismatch condition, with an inanimate left dislocated object and an intervening (animate) lexical subject in ClLDs. Our results show that, in the tested animacy mismatch condition, children seldom a-marked the pre-posed object. Instead, they appeared to creatively explore other solutions to overcome the production of the hard intervention structure, mainly using null subjects. As children are not ready to compute the intervention configuration with a lexical preverbal subject, but could not naturally adjust it through a-marking of the inanimate topic, they ended up opting for different types of productions in which intervention was eliminated. If the animacy feature seems to be implicated in the process of a-marking to some extent, it is not a feature to which the fRM principle is sensitive in building the object A’-dependency in ClLD: we conclude, in line with previous work, that animacy is not among the features implicated in triggering syntactic movement (in Italian). © 2021 The Author(s)

Potere e libertà nella rete
No full textIl contributo si propone di analizzare alcune linee di tendenza nel rapporto rapporti tra potere e libertà in Internet: dopo aver sottoposto a critica alcune recenti ricostruzioni che enfatizzano la dimensione sociale e comunitaria della rete, lo scritto si sofferma su alcune problematiche attinenti al rapporto tra i privati utenti della rete, i grandi intermediari e i gestori delle piattaforme, e il potere pubblico. In particolare, per quanto attiene al ruolo di provider e gestori, si evidenzia l’esigenza di superare il mito della loro neutralità senza per questo configurare in capo ad essi forme di responsabilità editoriale, e valorizzando il ruolo che in questo senso può essere svolto dalle procedure c.d. di notice and take down; per quanto attiene al rapporto col potere pubblico, si valuta favorevolmente il tendenziale abbandono del ricorso allo strumento penale, e si evidenzia l’esigenza di privilegiare interventi normativi sulle modalità di diffusione dei contenuti, con specifico riferimento al tema della profilazione degli utenti finalizzata all’invio di materiale informativo, e all’esigenza di contrastare modalità non trasparenti di diffusione, quali quelle che si avvalgono di bot e fake account.The paper analyzes current trends in the relationship between Public Power and Internet Freedom. After having challenged recent theories about the social dimension of the Internet, the paper focuses on issues related to the relationship between private users, Internet intermediaries and platform providers, and Public Power. In particular, as far as the role of Internet intermediaries and providers is concerned, the Author argues that time is ripe to dispel the myth of their neutrality but warns that they should held liable as editors/publishers not just for this reason, and that the so called “notice and take down procedures” may play an important role in the field. As far as the relationship between Internet providers and Public Power is concerned, the Author agrees with those recommending setting aside the use of criminal law and highlights the need to support regulation on how contents are shared −considering the specific issue of users profiling− and to contrast non-transparent methods of dissemination of information such as those using bots and fake accounts
Endomorphisms of Koszul complexes: formality and application to deformation theory
No full textWe study the differential graded Lie algebra of endomorphisms of the Koszul resolution of a regular sequence on a unitary commutative K-algebra R and we prove that it is homotopy abelian over K but not over R (except trivial cases). We apply this result to prove an annihilation theorem for obstructions of (derived) deformations of locally complete intersection ideal sheaves on projective schemes
