Current Techniques for En Bloc Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor: A Hands-on Guide Through the Energy Landscape

    No full text
En bloc resection of bladder tumor (ERBT) has attracted interest as a potentially superior technique to transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) to obtain detrusor muscle in the specimen. Different ERBT techniques have been described, with bipolar electrocautery and laser being the more favored energy modalities. Electrocautery EBRT has an advantage in terms of widespread availability in clinics and ease of conversion to piecemeal resection in case of large bladder tumors in different locations. Laser EBRT has an advantage in preventing obturator nerve reflex, which is particularly useful for lateral wall tumors. Further research is needed to assess the potential case-related advantages of the ERBT techniques over each other. Patient summary: Surgical removal of a bladder tumor as a whole single piece, called en bloc resection, is a safe procedure for the diagnosis and treatment of noninvasive bladder cancer. In this mini-review we summarize the evidence for current techniques for en bloc resection

© 2019, Kazan Federal University. All rights reserved. The best approximation by the irreducible fraction with the denominator not exceeding some specified value n was investigated. The aim of this study was to find the fastest approximation algorithm that enables to accelerate the convergence of the k -ary algorithm for computing the greatest common divisor. The approximation based on Farey sequences was described; this method was considered using a quick exit condition, precomputation of the initial steps, and search in the Farey sequence built in advance. We also discussed the approximation with continued fractions and proposed an algorithm using a precomputation and continued fractions. The time and memory complexity of these algorithms were shown; these methods were compared with respect to running time and iterations amount. It was concluded that the approximation with the help of Farey sequences and precomputation is the fastest method, but the approximation with continued fractions has no additional memory demands

Transfer Pricing in Russia, analyzing an international company during internship – Case Liebherr

    No full text
Transfer pricing mechanisms have been actively used by foreign companies for more than a half of century. The necessity to optimize financial flows between related parties by establishing transfer prices on the one hand, and the existence of proper economic assessment of pricing data in order to minimize negative financial flows related to possible fines and additional charging by tax authorities on the other hand, have both made transfer pricing issues relevant to foreign organizations. Since the beginning of the Russian transition to the market economy, Russian companies faced this problem. Underdevelopment of a given market and market institutions in Russian regions, a high degree of monopolization of individual economic sectors, the lack of consolidated information about market transactions and market prices, as well as taxation differences in each of the Russian region, all these aspects exacerbated the problem of transfer pricing between Russian enterprises. Despite the fact that efficiency of transfer pricing in companies is highly influencing the economic situation in the country, extremely insufficient attention has been given for learning the topic of transfer pricing. Since 1 January 2012, the situation has changed significantly, transfer pricing legislation entered into force, which aims to address the previous shortcomings, to bring into line with international practice. The main goal of this thesis is to learn deeper the topic of transfer pricing in Russia. The aim of the research is to get to know how companies use transfer pricing for minimizing tax risks and how they select an appropriate transfer pricing method. Fortunately, the author has an opportunity to have professional internship during thesis writing. It helps to understand the topic from the company point of view

© 2020, Advanced Scientific Research. All rights reserved. The paper presents the results of research on the creation of CASE tools that provide the experimental version of effectively build expert systems. As a part of the creation of CASE tools we focus on building an integrated development environment that includes a combination of PROLOG, JavaScript, Python programming languages, PostgreSQL database management system (DBMS) as well as telemetry tools. The experiments intended through the study are simulated using above mentioned software, where they were on the basis of the created integrated development environment. This expert system is mainly focused on automating the analysis processes and forming requirements for the software applications and hardware being developed using the built-in telemetry tools and taking into account the specifics of the corresponding subject area. The expert system is performed using the logical rules concerning the characteristics of workstations and corresponding software systems. As the result the expert system forms requirements and recommendations to the properties of the software and hardware products being developed

Nureyev which enabled him to leave a deep mark in economics. Methods: retrospective scientific-bibliographic analysis, abstract-logical, monographic methods. Results: the main results of Rustem Makhmutovich Nureyev’s scientific activity were listed; the most significant works were described that allowed him, in the authors’ opinion, to receive all-Russian and world recognition. The works are conditionally divided into two groups: popular works in the field of economic theory and modern significant works.Scientific novelty: the main stages and achievements of Rustem Makhmutovich Nureyev’s scientific activity are noted, as well as the impressions of the authors formed in the process of working with him.Practical significance: the review will help to get acquainted with the scientific contribution of R. M. Nureyev to the Russian science

    Superplastic Flow Phenomenology and Mechanics

    No full text
The present book aims at the following: - To outline briefly the techniques of mechanics of solids, particularly as it applies to strain rate sensitive materials, - to assess the present level of investigations on the mechanical behaviour of superplastics, - to formulate the main issues and challenges in mechanics of superplasticity, - to analyse the mathematical models/constitutive equations for superplastic flow from the viewpoint of mechanics, - to review the models of superplastic metal working processes, - to indicate with examples possible new results that can be obtained using the methods of mechanics of solids. It is intended for a variety of readers who may be interested in the phenomenon of superplasticity for different reasons: materials scientists and physicists working in educational institutions and R&D units, those who wish to work on the applications of superplasticity, engineers in industry, students at senior undergraduate and postgraduate levels and those who wish to understand the phenomenology and mechanics of superplasticity without involvement in actual research. A reader who has exposure to standard differential and integral calculus and elementary tensor calculus at a level taught to senior undergraduate students at a technical university should have no difficulty in following the treatments. The analytical procedures are explained in an Appendix with simple example
