Does search engine query data contribute to returns and liquidity?
This study attempts to identify the impact of investor's attention which is surrogated by the search engine query data on the internet using Google on returns and liquidity. The data used in this study is extracted from Google Trend data set, and hand-collected data from the Indonesia Capital Market Directory (ICMD). By employing panel data analysis, our results show that search engine query data (information retrieval) by using the internet (Google) is clearly an important method of attenuating the level of asymmetry information between the informed and un-informed investors. Moreover, the utilization of microeconomic factors such as financial or non-financial information that can be easily obtained from the annual reports are strongly useful in helping investors preparing their portfolio of investment. Meanwhile, the macroeconomics factors such as inflation, interest rate, exchange rate, and GDP are the country-level effect which results in either positive or negative impact on retur..

This is one of the manuscripts he shared with us during our video interview with him in 2019.These materials are collectively called "Political posters in Nupe Ajami." The four (4) posters were unlike most Ajami manuscripts in sub-Saharan Africa, since the scribe -- Alhaji Abubakar used the Mashriqi style rather than the Maghribi. These posters speak to the importance of Nupe Ajami in the people’s day-to-day activities. They also point to the fact that Ajami script has been used for both sacred and secular purposes. Included below is a summary of the contents of each poster:
1. A poster published during the recently conducted 2019 general elections. It depicts the image of the then Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari under the banner of the All Progressive Congress (APC), who eventually emerged the winner for the second term. The translation of the Nupe Ajami inscription at the top reads "Vote President 2019" and the second line says "Let's vote credible president for positive change." To the left is the political party's logo. The last Nupe Ajami inscription, beneath the candidate's image (in red) also says "For president." Lastly, the candidate’s name is written in Latin script.

PEMBARUAN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DI INDONESIA ABAD KE-19: Menelisik Serpihan Pemikiran Sayyid Usman
Kata Kunci: ulama, Nusantara, pendidikan, Âdâb al-Insân, Sayyid Usman Abstract: The Renewal of Islamic Education in the 19th Century Indonesia: Exploring Sayyid Usman’s Thoughts. This article aims to uncover Sayyid Usman's educational reform movement in the field of Islamic education. Based on the method of content analysis of available sources, this article proposes that the idea of the renewal of Sayyid Usman is contained in his book entitled Âdâb al-Insân. This book contains a strong reflection on the basic ability of the adaptation attitude of the author who for the context at that time faced the Dutch Colonial government which was discriminatory against Islamic education. The attitude of adaptation shown by Sayyid Usman is in accordance with the theory of intercultural communication arranged in five factors: personal communication, internal communication of one culture, internal communication of different cultures, cultural acceptance and behavioral tendencies. This study shows that renewal is inseparable from adaptation skills with a solid scientific basis. It also reinforces the view that renewal is very closely linked to the wealth of intellectual traditions as shown by Sayyid Usman. Evaluation of gridded datasets for terrestrial water budget assessment in the Upper Jhelum River Basin-South Asia
The study presents a comprehensive assessment of the key terrestrial water budget (TWB) components and their recent temporal trends using observed and gridded datasets across Upper Jhelum Basin (UJB) for the period of 2003–2014. Different gridded datasets were used for precipitation-P (APHRODITE, CHIRPS, PGMFD, ERA-5, and MSWEP), evapotranspiration-ET (MOD16A2, SSEBop, GLDAS-NOAH, TERRACLIMATE and DOLCE), Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) derived terrestrial water storage (TWS) and observed discharge (Q) measurements. Firstly, gridded P and ET datasets were assessed through detailed spatiotemporal analysis against reference datasets and considering their adequacy to close the TWB. The imbalance in TWB and associated uncertainties of each component were also computed to understand the potential of gridded datasets for water budget studies. Finally, TWB components were subjected to trend analysis to evaluate temporal trends and their statistical significance over the study period. Overall, ERA5-Pand DOLCE-ET relatively performed better and hence considered to be the most appropriate to present the hydrological spatiotemporal variability across UJB. The imbalance in water budget was mainly associated with higher uncertainties in P especially during wet periods. The results of temporal trend analysis showed a) insignificant mixed trends for annual P with increase and decrease in monsoon and winter P, respectively b) mixed yet statistically significant trends for ET in different parts of basin at annual and seasonal scale c) significant decreasing trends for TWS throughout the UJB in winter and annual scale d) increasing trends for Q in all months of the year except January and February. Despite the imbalance in water budget estimation due to large uncertainties in gridded P, ET, and TWS datasets, the study underlines the important information about TWB dynamics and their spatiotemporal variability over UJB which can be used as the knowledge base for further impact assessment studies
