Jianpi Bushen Qingchang Huashi Recipe Ameliorates Ulcerative Colitis in Rats by Regulating Gut Microbiota and Bile Acid
Background: The current research was designed to clarify the molecular regulation mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine Jianpi Bushen Qingchang Huashi Recipe (JBQHR) in ulcerative colitis (UC) rats. Methods: Rat models of UC were established by administering 1 × 106 CFU Clostridium difficile spores. Then rats in each group were treated with the medicine of JBQHR (Z1), Jianpi Bushen (Z2), Bushen Qingchang (Z3), Jianpi Qingchang (Z4), Bushen (Z5), Jianpi (Z6), and Qingchang (Z7). The control rats were only treated with sterile water. The intestinal feces were collected for microbiota and bile acid determination using 16S rRNA sequencing and UPLC-MS. Results: The Firmicutes abundance and the relative abundance between Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes increased markedly in Z1 compared to the model rats. Principal component analysis exhibited a significant difference between the Z1 and the control group, similar to the Z7. Quantitative analysis of 13 bile acids revealed that the expression of TUDCA in Z3 and Z7 groups was substantially increased compared with the model rats. The TCA contents of the control, Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, and Z5 groups were markedly increased as compared to the model. The GCA levels of the Z5 group and GCDCA contents of Z2, Z3, Z4, and Z5 groups were greatly decreased versus the model. There was no evident difference in the expressions of HDCA, CA, DCA, UDCA, GDCA, and LCA between the treatment groups and the model group. Levels of CDCA in the control and Z1 groups, and THDCA levels in the control, Z1, Z4, and Z5 groups were notably higher versus the model group. Conclusions: Our results demonstrated that the gut microbiota and partial bile acid contents of the UC rats were markedly changed after JBQHR treatment. This study indicates that JBQHR can mediate intestinal microecology and cause changes in bile acid contents in the intestinal lumen, thereby regulating intestinal immune inflammation and repairing the intestinal mucosa

Lu Xun zaoqi wenyan lunwen li suo tansuo de xin wenhua (The 'New Culture' formulated in Lu Xun's early classical-style essays)
This article links a number of the main themes expressed in Lu Xun's early wenyan essays, written in Japan in 1906-1908, with the concerns of the New Culture Movement, which emerged later (circa 1919) in China. The author argues that these book-length theses written in dense classical language were in fact intellectual precursors to the New Culture Movement and its aftermath. It delineates a partial outcome of the author's Australian Research Council (ARC) project on the early Lu Xun and his formative period in Japan
Exploration on the thoughts of the novels by Lu-yin
The vanguard of the May Fourth female writers—Lu-yin (1899~1934), who discovered the hidden problems in Chinese society during and after the period of transition. Lu-yin thought that is the essence of "personal awakening" comes from "female awakening". In other words, she pointed out emphatically that a woman is not only a woman but a person. Therefore, as a female writer, most of Lu-yin’s novels contain those two topics: the awakening of female consciousness in the gender relations and marriage problems. To us the thoughts of Lu-yin’s novels are still enlightening as before. However, many researches on Lu-yin’s novels are not fair and all-round. Consequently, this research of new points includes following three main directions:
First, female images and emotions of Lu-yin’s novels are pretty realistic and touching. In the meantime, that also reflected the true life of this author. We have to go deep into her novels to differ from prevailing opinions and carry on exploring sources to our thoughts. So we could understand the value of Lu-yin and her novels through time.
Secondly, I observed that many researches on the novels by Lu-yin are biased or narrow-minded. Most critics gave importance to "female images" or "female consciousness" but ignored the male is in existence. Generally speaking, the male images in the female writers’ works were not worthy to analyze because they were dull. However, from the text we can see Lu-yin had never been to discard to construct the male images, and by the different types of male we can recognize the true circumstances at that time. Consequently, I think the monism to research the gender relations is not enough. If the research cover two sides between males and females, it will be beneficial to the contemporary cultural construction.
Lastly, Lu-yin was sinking into antinomy and fear after the end of the May Fourth movement. Confusion is filled with her literature works. She implied the deceitful reality in the unfair society and exposed the new female problems in these works. Even as a "new woman", we couldn’t omit to Lu-yin also paid no attention to fall into the trap of patriarchy. Above-mentioned points are this essay’s focuses.第一章 緒論………………………………………………1

Asian Economic Integration - Perspectives from a Chinese Scholar
Since the 1990s, regional economic integration has become an unstoppable trend throughout the world. As the most telling feature of that, regional trade agreements (RTAs) have expanded explosively in the past fifteen years (see figure 1). According to the latest WTO data, the number of RTAs of all kinds (including those in implementation or to be signed) had reached almost 300 by the end of 2005. 250 of them have been notified to WTO, among which 130 were notified after January 1995, with most signed recently. So far, 173 RTAs have been notified to WTO and taken effect. It is assessed that there are still over 70 RTAs which havent been notified to WTO but about to come into effect.Asian Economic Integration

Beyond the Power of Networks: Differentiating Network Structure from Social Media Affordances for Perceived Social Support
Existing research suggests that social media use is associated with higher levels of social capital – the resources contained within a person’s network of friends, family, and other acquaintances. However, in predicting access to these resources, it has been impossible to distinguish the affordances of social media from the underlying advantage of maintaining a favorable social network of relationships on- and offline. Based on data from a representative, national survey, we compare the relationship between social network structure and various activities on Facebook for one type of resource: informal support in the form of companionship, emotional support, and tangible aid. In addition to a positive association between number of close ties, overall network size and diversity and support, we find that Facebook status updates and private messaging are independently associated with perceived support. We argue that these affordances are an outcome of the “pervasive awareness” provided by social media.Peer reviewe
First preclinical evaluation of [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-JR11 and comparison with [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-JR11, alpha versus beta radionuclide therapy of NETs
Background: The [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE mediated peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) is sometimes leading to treatment resistance and disease recurrence. An interesting alternative could be the somatostatin antagonist, [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-JR11, that demonstrated better biodistribution profile and higher tumor uptake than [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE. Furthermore, treatment with alpha emitters showed improvement of the therapeutic index of PRRT due to the high LET offered by the alpha particles compared to beta emitters. Therefore, [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-JR11 can be a potential candidate to improve the treatment of NETs (Graphical abstract). DOTA-JR11 was radiolabeled with [225Ac]Ac(NO3)3 and [177Lu]LuCl3. Stability studies were performed in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) and mouse serum. In vitro competitive binding assay has been carried out in U2OS-SSTR2 + cells for natLa-DOTA-JR11, natLu-DOTA-JR11 and DOTA-JR11. Ex vivo biodistribution studies were performed in mice inoculated with H69 cells at 4, 24, 48 and 72 h after injection of [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-JR11. A blocking group was included to verify uptake specificity. Dosimetry of selected organs was determined for [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-JR11 and [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-JR11. Results: [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-JR11 has been successfully prepared and obtained in high radiochemical yield (RCY; 95%) and radiochemical purity (RCP; 94%). [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-JR11 showed reasonably good stability in PBS (77% intact radiopeptide at 24 h after incubation) and in mouse serum (~ 81% intact radiopeptide 24 h after incubation). [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-JR11 demonstrated excellent stability in both media (> 93%) up to 24 h post incubation. Competitive binding assay revealed that complexation of DOTA-JR11 with natLa and natLu did not affect its binding affinity to SSTR2. Similar biodistribution profiles were observed for both radiopeptides, however, higher uptake was noticed in the kidneys, liver and bone for [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-JR11 than [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-JR11. Conclusion: [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-JR11 showed a higher absorbed dose in the kidneys compared to [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-JR11, which may limit further studies with this radiopeptide. However, several strategies can be explored to reduce nephrotoxicity and offer opportunities for future clinical investigations with [225Ac]Ac-DOTA-JR11.RST/Applied Radiation & Isotope
The Value of a Fragment from Lu Dian’s Shiliao Lu as a Historical Source: The Notebooks of Lu You
In the study of the Liao 遼 Dynasty’s governance of the Yanyun 燕雲 region one important historical source is an account concerning tax reductions implemented by Liu Liufu 劉六符 in the Yanyun region contained in Lu You’s 陸游 notebook entitled Laoxuean Biji 老学庵筆記. Although the research to date has questioned the reliability of this account, it has failed to explain why Lu You would have included such a dubious account among the historical records he copied into his notebook. In this article, the author, through a comprehensive study of the historical records related to the Liao Dynasty contained in Laoxuean Biji and another Lu You notebook entitled Jiashi Jiuwen 家世旧聞, attempts to clarify the origins of the tax reduction account.
As the title, Old Recollections About Family History, implies, Jiashi Jiuwen is a collection of narrative passed on to Lu You from his grandfather Lu Dian 陸佃 and father Lu Zai 陸宰. Some of the volume’s information pertaining to the Liao was provided by Lu Dian’s recollections concerning his experiences while dispatched to the Liao court. Due to the fact that Lu You wrote a postscript to Lu Dian’s accounts of those experiences entitled Shilao Lu 使遼録, the author concludes that the information in Jiashi Jiuwen must have extracted from Shilao Lu, which has been lost.
Returning to the tax reduction account in Lu You’s Laoxuean Biji, the author points to the personage of one Liu Xiao 劉霄, who was the grandson of the same Liu Liufu who enacted the tax reduction and an acquaintance of Lu Dian while the latter was at the Liao court. Liu Xiao was probably the person who informed Lu Dian of his grandfather’s accomplishment in the Yanyun region.
Finally, the author takes up the authenticity of the “tax reduction account.” By refuting its part about Liao Emperor Xing following any advice given by Liu Liufu during his negotiations with the Song Dynasty concerning increases in annual payments, Qing Period bibliographical scholar Bi Yuan 畢沅 denied the reliability of the “tax reduction account” in its entirety. However, the author refers to other sources in concluding that there are other parts of the account that ring true, meaning that the account can be used as a historical source in combination with other evidence.
For example, the account is an excellent source for understanding that internal politics and diplomatic policy of the Liao Dynasty were linked organically to winning the consent of the Han-Chinese people of Yanyun. Furthermore, the account is extremely valuable for observing not only the Liao Dynasty’s governance of Han-Chinese regions and the international relations surrounding it, but also its character as a nomadic state.journal articl
