Regency by using production function method. There are 21 respondents of 185,
while the sampling technique using a purposive sampling. The research finding is
economic value of water contributed by protection forest toward Gurgur Aek Raja

examines the efforts undertaken by the manager and the parties involved in the
handling of ex-refugees in TNGL. The analysis method used was descriptive
qualitative data analysis techniques using SWOT analysis to analyze data
obtained from questionnaires, interviews, observation and literature study. The
results showed that the economic and social conditions of ex-refugees is quite
good. Efforts made by the manager, has not been effective due to lack specifically

Lake Linting is one of hotspring lake in North Sumatera that have
potential to be developed as ecotourism, however there is no serious management
of the manager or local government.
Supply and demand aspects were scored by tourist are tourist attraction,
amenity and accessibility. Visitor asses that supply aspect is categorized as badregular,
while demand aspect is categorized as regular-important, that means
most of visitors assumed that this region is important and useful so that we need
better management.

The Village of Sayum Sabah which is a village located in the buffer zone of
Natural Park Sibolangit has potential in terms of natural resources are managed
in agroforestry systems that provide economic value to farmers. Research
conducted in the Sayum Sabahvillage, Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang regency
using the method of interviews. Parameters analyzed were agroforestry systems
and the level of income of farmers per year.
The results showed that every farmer has the applied differentforms and

contribution of bamboo for the society income. This research was using purposive

1.100 mdpl, while the highest economic value of bamboo is Rp. 3.600.000/year and
the lowest economic value is Rp. 700.000/year, the highest contribution of bamboo

This study was conducted to determine carbon stocks, and economic value
of carbon stocks above and below ground (roots)of standing tree in education
forest University of North Sumatera, Tongkoh, Karo District, North Sumatera.
This study was conducted June 2014. The collecting of data is used path
method,and the sampling technique used purposive sampling with random start
method. Plot size 100m x 20m of 10 plots categorized as large plot to observe
trees with diameter > 30 cm at the and there was subplots with size 5m x 40m
categorized as small plot to observe trees with diameter 5m to 30cm.The
collection of data was conducted by non-destructive method with biomass data
analysis using allometric models with a carbon content of 46% of the biomass.
The results showed that 46 species of trees are derived from 29 families. Carbon
content in above ground of standing tree in in education forests University of
North Sumatra 410.16 tons / ha, and estimation of total carbon stocks 543,467.38
tons and the economic value IDR 29 ,890,705,900.00 - IDR 119,562,823,600.00.

Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Houtt) be one of found forest commodity in
various areas in Indonesia is including in Sub-Province Bireuen, Nanggroe Aceh
Darussalam. Till now, exploiting of nutmeg in Sub-Province Bireuen only limited
to at seed and its fuli only. While processing agroindustrv there have of nutmeg
kernel becomes nutmeg syrup in Sub-Province South Aceh. This fact inspires the
writer to make research aimed to search: for financial analysis for nutmeg syrup
agroindustry, for added value from processing nutmeg syrup and for marketing
access of nutmeg syrup in Sub-Province Bireuen. This research done in Sub Province Bireuen and Sub-Province South Aceh in April 2011. Election of sample
either processing entrepreneur and also nutmeg syrup seller is done in purposive.
Result of research showed that nutmeg syrup agroindustry is profitable
because its RC ratio value is bingger than one (1,36). Number of BEP volume
produce of 54 bottles and BEP the price of equal to Rp 9586,- per bottle. Added
value at processing of nutmeg kernel becomes syrup is equal to Rp 8108,- per kg.
Market opportunity still be wide because nutmeg syrup produced are still can be
sold in market. Furthermore, position of sub-province Bireuen is strategic, so it

Utilization of mangrove economic times, lack of attention to ecological
aspects and physical function of mangrove forests. How mangrove utilization
techniques economically with due regard to the preservation of mangrove forests has not been much studied.
This study aims to determine the processes and techniques of mangrove
nurseries, to determine the level of financial feasibility mangrove breeding and to find strength (strength), weakness (Weakness), opportunities (opportunity) and threats (threat) mangrove breeding. To determine the seeding is done by interviews and ovservasi, while for financial analysis using production cost and revenue analysis. After knowing the cost of production and revenue followed by analysis of R / C ratio and Break Event Point (BEP) and for the development of strategies using SWOT analysis.
The results showed in traditional breeding techniques. The nursery stage
are: site selection nursery, nursery, fruit selection, creation and maintenance of seedlings. Breeding feasible to run due to the R / C ratio greater than one, namely Rhizophora stylosa, R. apiculata, Soneratia, Bruguiera at 1.2642, R. mucronata at 2.4737 and at 1.1939 Avicenia. USU Arboretum is one of the collecting and growing trees in ecology can
benefit directly and indirectly. For this study calculated the level of carbon stocks
of trees, saplings, poles with the method of non-destructive ends and using
allometric estimates from previous studies as well as by climate zone. Carbon
stocks undergrowth in the arboretum USU, performed by direct harvesting
method calculated wet weight, dry weight and number of individuals. Oxygen
production was measured by estimation of canopy cover in the arboretum area
USU. The results shown contribution of the arboretum USU for absorbs carbon
was 45,926 ton C with priced potential of economic from market priced a carbon
on the avarage was Rp 5.150.968,30 USU arboretum other functions to produce
