No full textDigital maturity indicates the degree of ability to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digital technologies. By measuring digital maturity, we can gain insight into the state of an individual company, as well as insight into the state of a number of companies, which allows companies and support institutions to take more appropriate actions in the digital transformation process. In this paper, we present a model for assessing the digital maturity level of small and medium-sized enterprises in Slovenia. We focus on the application of the model in practice and analyse the results of the assessment of the digital maturity level of 613 small and medium-sized enterprises. The results of the application have shown that the digital maturity assessment model has a high utility value in assessing an individual company, in gaining insight into the state of digitalization of a group of companies and in assessing the impact of measures to promote digitalization of small and medium enterprises.Andreja Pucihar, Mirjana Kljajić BorštnarRefereed/Peer-reviewedVersion of recor
Health Literature Hybrid AI for Health Improvement: A Design Analysis for Diabetes & Hypertension
No full textIncreasingly, front runner patients and practitioners want to use state-of-the-art science for rapid lifestyle based cure of diseases of affluence. However, the number of new health studies per year (>500.000) is overwhelming. How to quickly assess state-of-the-art and use new opportunities for rapid patient DIY (Do-It-Yourself) health improvement? In order to develop a health literature hybrid AI to aid DIY rapid health improvement, we analyze user side functional requirements. A cross case design analysis is conducted for hypertension and T2D (Type 2 Diabetes), two major cardiometabolic conditions in our society. Our analysis shows that current DIY health support is ‘watered down’ advise, prone to medicalizing rather than empowering patients. No full textAlthough research indicates e-commerce offers viable and practical solutions for organizations to meet challenges of a predominantly changing environment, the few available studies related to SMEs in developing countries reveal a delay or failure of SMEs in adopting ICT and e-commerce technologies. The various factors identified as causes for the reticence can be broadly classified as Internal Barriers and External Barriers. This paper presents a model for barriers to adoption of ICT and e-commerce based on the results of an exploratory pilot study and survey. It identifies support for SMEs in Sri Lanka at different distinct levels of sophistication in SMEs with regard to ICT and e-commerce. It also determines a strong need for necessary support and discusses the availability of the support. Finally it proposes an initial framework to eTransorm SMEs
Organizational factors for successful entering to e-marketplace: Case of large organizations in Slovenia
Get PDFThe appeal of doing business on the Web is clear. By bringing together large numbers of buyers and sellers and by automating transactions, e-marketplaces expand the choices available to buyers, give sellers access to new customers (buyers), and reduce transaction costs for all participants. Entering the e-marketplace is related to the business process of reengineering, connecting of information systems, gaining new knowledge with training and learning, and making investments in new information technologies and software. Such organization must take very careful steps to prepare itself for a successful entrance on the e-marketplace. Only this kind of approach will enable the organization the full use of the available opportunities and will bring expected business results. The paper presents the different types of e-marketplaces and the use of e-marketplaces for business. Furthermore, the results of the research that was done among 250 large organizations in Slovenia are presented. The current status of the use e-commerce and e-marketplaces in large organizations in Slovenia is introduced. In addition, organizational factors found by large organizations to be important for a successful entrance to the e-marketplaces are presented. We conclude the paper with recommendations for the organizations that intend to enter e-marketplace

Analysis of Andreja Peklar\u27s picture books
Get PDFV diplomskem delu je analiziranih vseh šest doslej izdanih avtorskih slikanic Andreje Peklar. To so: Fant z rdečo kapico (2005), Varuh (2006), Ferdo, veliki ptič (2016), Luna in jaz (2019), Buba (2020) in Tisoč ptic (2021). Avtorica Andreja Peklar je pomembna slovenska slikarka, ilustratorka in pisateljica, ki je za svoja dela prejela številne domače in tuje nagrade. V teoretičnem delu je zapisana definicija slikanice, nekaj dosedanjih spoznanj o družinski pismenosti, gradnikih bralne pismenosti in bralnem dogodku v vrtcu ter predstavitev življenja in dela pisateljice Andreje Peklar. Pri raziskovanju so bile uporabljene deskriptivna metoda, metoda analize, metoda sinteze in metoda praktičnega dela. V praktičnem delu diplomske naloge je opravljena multimodalna analiza vseh šestih avtorskih slikanic.The thesis analyses six picture books written and illustrated by Andreja Peklar that have been published so far, namely Fant z rdečo kapico (2005), Varuh (2006), Ferdo, veliki ptič (2016), Luna in jaz (2019), Buba (2020) in Tisoč ptic (2021). The author is an important Slovenian painter, illustrator and writer, who has received numerous awards at home and abroad. In the theoretical part there is a definition of a picture book, some findings on family literacy, cornerstones of reading literacy, reading event in kindergarten and biography and works of Andreja Peklar. The research was carried out by means of different methods, namely descriptive method, analysis, synthesis and practical work. MODEL OF TRANSFERS BETWEEN PLANTS WITH PROTOTYPE SOLUTION
Get PDFMagistrsko delo obravnava področje medobratnih transferjev v proizvodnih podjetjih. Predstavljeni model je namenjen uporabi v podjetjih, kjer uporabljajo celovito programsko rešitev SAP, ter rešuje problem neusklajenosti informacijskega in fizičnega stanja zaloge pri transportu med različnimi obrati znotraj podjetja.
Cilj magistrskega dela je predstaviti model za medobratne transferje v celoviti programski rešitvi SAP in prototipno rešitev omenjenega modela, ki je bil izdelan za podjetje Iskra Mehanizmi d.o.o. Prvi sklop magistrskega dela vsebuje teoretične osnove s področja celovite programske rešitve SAP, programskega jezika ABAP, črtnih kod, zajema pa tudi predstavitev alternativne rešitve našemu modelu medobratnih transferjev. Drugi sklop zajema analizo obstoječega stanja in njegovo kritično analizo. V nadaljevanju je predstavljen naš model medobratnih transferjev, kjer je opisan tudi prenovljen proces. Poleg prototipne rešitve so opisane tudi potrebne nastavitve celovite programske rešitve SAP za pravilno delovanje modela.
Prototipna rešitev je narejena v celoviti programski rešitvi SAP in omogoča usklajenost informacijskega in fizičnega stanja zaloge v procesu medobratnih transferjev. Rešitev podpira dva načina izvajanja, in sicer ročnega in avtomatskega. Za avtomatsko izvajanje je vključena dopolnitev modela s črtnimi kodami.
V zadnjem delu magistrskega dela je predstavljena ocena učinkov, možnosti za nadaljnji razvoj in zaključek.The master\u27s thesis deals with transfers between plants in manufacturing companies. The presented model is intended for enterprises using the SAP ERP solution. It solves the problem of mismatch between informational and physical stock in transport between different plants within the company.
The goal of the thesis is, to present a model for transfers between plants by means of the SAP ERP solution and to propose a prototype solution for this model, which has been designed for the company Iskra Mehanizmi d.o.o. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical background relating to the SAP CRM solution, ABAP programming language and barcodes. Moreover, it presents an alternative solution to our model for transfers between plants. The second part involves an analysis of the existing situation and a critical evaluation of it. The third part presents our model of transfers between plants, including the revised process. In addition to the prototype, the thesis provides insight into all the necessary settings in the SAP to enable proper functioning of the model.
The prototype solution includes SAP programs allowing synchronization of information and physical condition of the stock in the process of transfers between plants. The solution supports two modes of implementation, i.e. manual and automatic. Barcodes are part of our model for the automatic model.
The last part of the master’s thesis presents the assessment of the impacts, sets out opportunities for further development and provides a conclusion
E- BUSINESS IMPLEMENTATION IN THE COMPANY ENGROTUŠ D.D.
Get PDFPodjetje Engrotuš d.d. združuje dejavnosti živilske in neživilske trgovine, raznovrstno gostinsko ponudbo, multikino, bowling in biljard ter otroške igralnice. V diplomski nalogi smo proučevali priložnosti za uvedbo elektronskega poslovanja in izmenjavo podatkov od elektronskega naročila do elektronskega računa. Osredotočili smo se na blagovno poslovanje veleprodajnih poslovalnic ter živilskih in neživilskih trgovin. V nalogi smo opozorili na vse težave, s katerimi se podjetje ob vključevanju v elektronsko poslovanje srečuje. Gre za veliko število izmenjanih podatkov in dokumentov, kjer je potrebna natančna usklajenost med strankami in centralno organizirani podatki. Dotaknili smo se tudi zakonodaje elektronskega poslovanja. Prikazali smo dosedanje poslovanje in prototipno rešitev za nov način poslovanja, ki vključuje podporo dveh novih elektronskih dokumentov (e-prevzemnica in e-račun) ter uvoz testnih računov v celovito programsko rešitev. Ker se elektronsko poslovanje nenehno razvija in se pojavljajo nove potrebe, smo predstavili tudi izboljšave in nadgradnje na obstoječem informacijskem sistemu ter sistemu že podprtih elektronskih dokumentov. Zaradi varovanja podatkov je del podatkov na slikah prikritih.The company Engrotuš d.d. combines the activities of stores that sells both food and non-food products, various bars and restaurants, a multicinema complex, a bowling and billiards area as well as a play area for children. In this diploma thesis we have studied opportunities for the introduction of e-business and an exchange of data from the e-order to the e-invoice. We have focused on the transaction of goods in supermarkets as well as in stores selling both food and non-food products. In this thesis we have drawn attention to the difficulties that every company faces, when introducing e-business. There is an exchange of a significant number of data and documents, where a precise coordination between the customers and the central organized data is necessary. We have also touched upon the topic regarding the legislature of e-business. We have shown the business process up until the present day and a prototypical solution for the new business method, where two new electronic documents (e-receipt advice and e-invoice) are included as well as the importation of test invoices into the Enterprise resource planning system. Because e-business is evolving all the time and new requirements constantly arise, we have also introduced improvements and further developments of the existing information system and the system of e-documents that are already supported. DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS REPORTS WITHIN SAP ERP
Get PDFDiplomsko delo obravnava celovit informacijski sistem SAP ERP za izdelavo poročil v zavarovalnici X, podružnici v Sloveniji. Dober informacijski sistem je pomemben za spremljanje poslovanja, sprejemanje poslovnih odločitev, nadaljnji razvoj zavarovalnice ter poročanje poslovnim partnerjem in zunanjim institucijam za nadzor. V teoretičnem delu so opisani informacijski sistem, direktorski informacijski sistem ter njuna vloga v poslovanju. Poleg tega sta zajeta opis poslovnih poročil in predstavitev ključnih kazalnikov poslovanja zavarovalnice. Ker je diplomsko delo osredotočeno na prenovo programske rešitve v okolju SAP ERP, so predstavljeni tudi nekateri osnovni pojmi programske in strojne opreme ter podatkovna baza, iz katere črpamo podatke za pridobitev informacij o poslovanju organizacije. V empiričnem delu je preizkušena obstoječa programska rešitev v praksi, nato sledita dva intervjuja z direktorjem zavarovalnice. Analizirano je problemsko stanje in predlagana je ustrezna programska rešitev. Glavni problemi so počasno pridobivanje podatkov iz sistema, nefleksibilnost programa in nezmožnost vizualizacije podatkov. Po preučeni literaturi je bila podana programska rešitev, ki bi ustrezala potrebam in zahtevam direktorja, ter preizkušeno orodje za poročanje v okolju programske rešitve SAP ERP. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da bi s prenovo programske rešitve prihranili veliko časa, direktor pa bi lahko poslovanje zavarovalnice spremljal neposredno iz pisarne v obliki grafikonov. Poslovanje bi lahko spremljal tudi neodvisno od lokacije in časa s katere koli mobilne naprave. Aktuarji bi hitreje pridobivali podatke in enostavneje kreirali poslovna poročila v istem orodju kot bi ga uporabljal direktor zavarovalnice.This diploma thesis deals with a comprehensive SAP ERP information system for the elaboration of reports in a Slovenian branch of the X insurance company. A good information system is important for monitoring operations, making business decisions, the further development of the insurance company and reporting to business partners and external control agencies. The theoretical part focuses on the information system, the management information system and their role in the operations. The theoretical part also includes the description of business reports and a presentation of key indicators of insurance company operation. Since the diploma thesis is focused on the renovation of software solutions in the SAP ERP environment, we also defined some of the basic concepts of hardware and software, and described the database from which we obtained information on the operations of the organisation. In the empirical part, we tested the existing software solutions in practice and carried out two interviews with the insurance company managing director. We analysed the problem and attempted to find an appropriate software solution. The main problem was slow data generation from the system, programme inflexibility and a lack of data visualisation. We studied the literature and came up with a software solution that could meet the needs and demands of the managing directorafterwards we tested the tool for reporting in the environment of the SAP ERP software solution. We established that the renewal of a software solution saves a lot of timefurthermore the managing director is able to monitor operations directly from the office in the form of graphs. The operations can also be monitored independently of location and time using any mobile devices. The actuaries can quickly and easily acquire data and create business reports with the same tool as used by the managing director of the insurance company
Development of project control dashboard using web technologies
Get PDFV magistrski nalogi obravnavamo problematiko projektnega vodenja skozi faze razvoja in izdelave proizvoda na primeru orodjarstva. Obravnavamo problematiko dostopa do informacij o projektu v heterogenem informacijskem okolju. Za rešitev proučevanega problema predlagamo izgradnjo kontrolne plošče projekta za pregled informacij o projektu, ki se nahajajo v več informacijskih sistemih. Predlagamo modularno zgradbo programske rešitve kontrolne plošče. Predlagamo tudi arhitekturo programske rešitve in metodologijo izgradnje programske rešitve projektne kontrolne plošče. Za realizacijo projektne kontrolne plošče smo uporabili sodobne spletne tehnologije tako na odjemalski strani kot na strani aplikacijskega strežnika. V projektno kontrolno ploščo smo vgradili tudi tehnologije za skupinsko delo, kot so tematski pogovor in dodeljevanje in spremljanje nalog. Tehnologije za skupinsko delo imajo v tem primeru vlogo razširiti krog projektne skupine na vse relevantne deležnike brez tveganja za večje izgube časa za dolgotrajne in pogosto neproduktivne projektne sestanke. Na koncu opišemo prototip projektne kontrolne plošče in opišemo njen način delovanja.In this master\u27s thesis we are going to address issues of project management in die and mould production through all the phases of development and manufacturing of the final product. We are discussing project information access issues in a heterogeneous information system environment. As a solution for the researched problem we propose a project control panel for access to the project information located in several information systems. We propose a modular design of the control panel software solution. We also propose program solution architecture and methodology for development of project control panel. We used modern web technologies for realization of both the client and the application server side of the project control panel. We also incorporated teamwork technologies into the project control panel, such as thematic conversation and assignment and monitoring of tasks. Teamwork technologies in this case have the role of extending the project team to all relevant stakeholders without risk of wasting too much time for long-lasting and often unproductive project meetings. Finally, we describe the prototype of the project control panel and describe its mode of operation
