Correlating Pt-P bond lengths and Pt-P coupling constants
No full textThe X-ray structures of (5) cis-PtBr2(P(OMe)(3))(2), (6) cis-PtBr2(P(OMe)(2)Ph)(2), (7) cis-PtBr2(P(OMe)Ph-2)(2), (8) cis-PtBr2(PPh3)(2), (9) cis-PtI2(P(OMe)(3))(2), (10) cis-PtI2(P(OMe)(2)Ph)(2), (11) cis-PtI2(P(OMe)Ph-2)(2) and (12) cis-PtI2(PPh3)(2) are reported and compared with the previously reported chloride analogues. The magnitude of the J{Pt-P} varies linearly with the Pt-P bond length (l(Pt-P) = 2.421 - J/24255) for these 12 complexes.Peer reviewe
Structure determination of Au on Pt(111) surface:LEED, STM and DFT Study
Get PDFLow-energy electron diffraction (LEED), scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations have been used to investigate the atomic and electronic structure of gold deposited (between 0.8 and 1.0 monolayer) on the Pt(111) face in ultrahigh vacuum at room temperature. The analysis of LEED and STM measurements indicates two-dimensional growth of the first Au monolayer. Change of the measured surface lattice constant equal to 2.80 Å after Au adsorption was not observed. Based on DFT, the distance between the nearest atoms in the case of bare Pt(111) and Au/Pt(111) surface is equal to 2.83 Å, which gives 1% difference in comparison with STM values. The first and second interlayer spacing of the clean Pt(111) surface are expanded by +0.87% and contracted by −0.43%, respectively. The adsorption energy of the Au atom on the Pt(111) surface is dependent on the adsorption position, and there is a preference for a hollow fcc site. For the Au/Pt(111) surface, the top interlayer spacing is expanded by +2.16% with respect to the ideal bulk value. Changes in the electronic properties of the Au/Pt(111) system below the Fermi level connected to the interaction of Au atoms with Pt(111) surface are observed

Aspects of PT-symmetric quantum mechanics
Get PDFPT-symmetric quantum mechanics is an alternative to the usual hermitian quantum mechanics. We will start this thesis by taking an overview of the subject, seeing some of the elementary consequences of this different approach. The main part of the work will be an depth study of a specific Hamiltonian(diagram) This is a generalisation of the well understood harmonic oscillator with angular momentum. By making this generalisation we break the hermiticity of the problem. This leads to some intriguing results. We will be particularly interested in the merging of eigenvalues for M <1.We study the problem using a number of techniques. First the Hamiltonian is studied at the classical level and the behaviour of a particle moving in the corresponding potential is studied. Having seen the consequences at the classical level we return to the quantum case. The Hamiltonian is first solved perturbativly. This method is shown to be valid for PT-symmetric quantum mechanics. It is shown that asymptotic limits of the matrix do not capture the full behaviour of the energy levels. We then move on to study the problem considering techniques arising from the ODE/IM correspondence. Using this approach we are able to give an analytic description of the phenomena and explain the merging of eigenvalues
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Krisis mulai menjadi ancaman citra perusahaan maupun anak perusahaannya, PT. Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, yaitu sejak pemberitaan permasalahan ini tersebar luas di media cetak maupun elektronik pada bulan Agustus 2015 mengenai penggeledahan kantor Direktur Utama Pelindo II oleh Penyidik Bareskrim Polri. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik in-depth interview, observasi langsung penelitian di PT. Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok dan juga didukung oleh data dokumentasi dari perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi media relations PT. Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok dalam menanggapi krisis yang dihadapi oleh holding company. Berdasarkan hasil pengelolahan data, maka dapat diketahui bahwa kaitan antara kegiatan humas anak peruaahaan dengan holding company yaitu saling mendukung dan membantu segala kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh humas holding company. Namun, pada saat terjadi krisis, humas PT. Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok tidak ikut berkontribusi banyak dalam penanganan krisis melainkan hanya membantu dalam penyebaran informasi yang positif dan benar kepada media cetak maupun elektronik. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
