Shaping Good Character for Children Based on Local Wisdom Using Applications of Digital Fairy Tale
Get PDFFairy tale, which is rich of moral value, (pronounced as local wisdom), here began to compete with cartoons, robot movies, comics and a variety of games on line is able to amaze the children to sit for hours without ignoring the others. Sacredness and romance of fairy tales as a primary source of valuable value that will be able to build the character of children to be pious, independent, courtesy and respect for others, as if it is faded along with the advances in technology and communications. Along with the digital era, where children begin to be familiar with gadgets and other electronic devices, people should also improve the refreshment of fairy tales with various modifications in characterization, structure and discussion as well as the visual appearance of the fairy tale itself. The transition from conventional to digitizing fairy tale could be an alternative solution that fairy tale will not be left behind by children because of his naiveness. As character building is becoming growing issue nowadays, digital fairy tales can be a good model to shape children character. Noble character from fairy tales can be seen on the side of moral values. Moral values depicted from the story as individual, social, and religious morals. Fostering StudentsDigital Literacy In The Age Of The Internet In The Pandemic Era
Get PDFBeing digitally literate is an ongoing process in which students must consistently keep up by actively learning and trying out new technology tools and resources, building skills with these technologies, and most importantly using this technology to meet their needs and achieve their goals. This paper considers how students can respond to digital media literacy in the internet era. It begins by exploring digital literacy and digital media literacy more specifically. Then, it approaches how digital media should be selected according to students characteristics, authenticity, appropriacy and sufficiency and then emphasizes the importance of the internet and it wide ranging utility. It argues that the advantages of digital technology give valuable contribution for the students. The paper aims to explore extensive use of potential digital media to empower the students, enlarge their knowledge, enhance their communication skills and enjoy better living condition and elevated status in society. The article concludes that digital literacy should be seen as part of global education in era of internet and the use of digital media properly.

The data are taken from thenovels, Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns and AtiqRahimi'sThe Patience Stone. In A Thousand Splendid Suns Mariam and Lailaare described as Afghan women are oppressed, powerless, marginalized and exploited in the domestic area. The impact of male domination are depression, anxiety,trauma and death either to the oppressor or the oppressed. This leads to the rejection against the dominancein the form of the struggle for freedom. In The Patience Stone, a female character whose name is unknown, experiencing violence in the household. Her husband does physical violence, sexual harassment and mental abuse. This caused her to be frustrated, depressed and traumatized.A tragic moment ends the story as the fruit of mal oppression against Afghan women in the domestic area, namely the desire to kill their husbands. From the portrait of women in Afghanistan as told by KhaledHosseini and AtiqRahimi, a moral value that can be drawn is a patriarchal system of society should be eliminated. Because of the patriarchal system, it will become the beginning of the maledominance to women in domestic area in this case their wives and daughters. Women should be treated as a partner in joy and sorrow. They are not considered as a slave or an outlet for their anger and desire
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
