    A steroid from Pistia stratiotes

    No full text
A novel stigmastane, 11α-hydroxy-24S-ethyl-5α-cholest-22-en-3,6-dione, has been isolated from the aquatic plant Pistia stratiotes. The structure determination was accomplished by spectroscopic methods. A revision of the NMR assignments of an analogous cholestane sterol is also reported. © 1991

Oxygenated fatty acids from Lemna trisulca

(12S)-Hydroxyhexadeca-8Z,10E,14Z-trienoic acid and a prostaglandin-like C16 fatty acid have been isolated from the acidic fraction of Lemna trisulca together with several other unsaturated fatty acids. © 1987

Isoprenoids from the leaves of Quercus suber

Besides seventeen already known lupane and oleanane triterpenes, epibetulinic aldehyde has been isolated from the leaves of Quercus súber. In addition, 9-, 10-, 11-, and 12-prenol were present in specimens infected by the fungus Microsphaera alphitoides. © 1984, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved

A linear diterpene diolfrom Lemna minor

    No full text
Four known isoprenoids were isolated from Lemna minor besides a novel diterpene which was attributed the structure (4R)-4-hydroxyisophytol by spectroscopic studies and chemical correlation. © 1984

Further oxygenated fatty acids from Lemna minor

In a re-investigation of the aquatic plant Lemna minor, two novel cyclopen-tanoid Cl6 fatty acids, 6a and 7a, have been isolated and characterized as the corresponding methyl esters on the basis of their physical and chemical features. A biogenetic pathway similar to that of the prostaglandins is suggested for these compounds. © 1987, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved
