O impacto da Pandemia COVID-19 no processo de liderança

Pretendeu-se também identificar quais foram as ações tomadas pelas organizações em decorrência da pandemia; observar que tipos de políticas comunicacionais foram implementadas no processo de liderança no contexto pandémico; compreender qual o impacto provocado pelas alterações introduzidas no processo de liderança, quanto aos métodos de controlo e avaliação da equipa; perceber como se realizou essa atividade; analisar o grau de eficácia e eficiência de liderança adotado no contexto da Covid19, relativamente aos objetivos definidos para a equipa e organização. Ou seja, perceber se as metas foram atingidas, se houve um aumento na exigência de trabalho; verificar se houve mudanças comportamentais na forma de liderar, entendendo quais foram essas alterações; ponderar sobre quais foram os desafios enfrentados pelo líder, no âmbito do autodesenvolvimento, durante esse período; verificar se as ações adotadas pelos líderes durante a pandemia irão permanecer ou se foram pontuais; entender se a pandemia e as suas novas formas de atuação fizeram repensar o método de liderar.
Recorreu-se a uma pesquisa qualitativa para identificar as alterações ocorridas no processo de liderança mais adotadas no contexto da pandemia. A investigação recorreu a uma amostra de vinte e seis líderes, em cargos de CEO ou direção de empresas startups, através de entrevistas. O estudo mostrou quais foram as mudanças e as ações tomadas pelos gestores nas pequenas e médias startups do estado do Paraná (Brasil) e da área do Grande Porto (Portugal), e se esses gestores deram continuidade às ações no pós-covid-19.
Como resultado, observaram-se mudanças nas ações dos líderes dentro das organizações, surgiu a necessidade de mudança, forçando-os a serem mais criativos e dinâmicos, a enfrentar desafios e transformar e adaptar as suas práticas. Em momentos de crise, os líderes assumem uma importância especial, apontando-se para a Liderança Situacional, onde se tornou necessário perceber como se adaptar conforme as necessidades e circunstâncias; esses gestores mencionam a necessidade de ser flexíveis e a necessidade de serem capazes de mudar a sua abordagem de acordo com a ocasião, ao mesmo tempo que precisaram fomentar a resiliência e o bem-estar, com um trabalho remoto e a tendência de se atuar de modo híbrido.The main objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of the Covid19 pandemic on the leadership process.
It was also intended to identify what actions were taken by organizations as a result of the pandemic; observe, what types of communication policies occurred in the leadership process in the pandemic context; understand, what impact the changes in the leadership process had on the team's control and measurement methods; understand, how this activity was carried out; analyze the degree of effectiveness and efficiency of leadership adopted in the context of Covid19, with regard to the objectives defined for the team and organization. That is, to understand if the goals were achieved, if there was an increase in the demand for work; to verify if there were behavioral changes in the way of leading, understanding what these changes were; to consider, what were the challenges faced by the leader, in the scope of self-development, during this period; to verify if the actions adopted by the leaders during the pandemic will remain or were punctual; to understand if the pandemic and its new ways of acting, made rethink the method of leading.
Qualitative research was used to identify the changes in the leadership process most adopted in the context of the pandemic. The research used a sample of twenty-six leaders, in CEO or management positions of startups, through interviews. The study showed what changes and actions were taken by managers in small and medium-sized startups in the state of Paraná (Brazil) and the Greater Porto area (Portugal), and whether these managers continued their actions in the post-covid-19 period.
As a result, changes were observed in the actions of the leader in the organizations, the need for change arose, where it forced them to be more creative and dynamic, to face challenges and to transform and adapt their practices. In times of crisis, leaders assume a special importance, with this, Situational Leadership was pointed out, where it was necessary to realize how to adapt according to needs and circumstances, these managers mention the need to be flexible and the need to be able to change their approach according to the occasion at the same time that they needed to foster resilience and well-being, with remote work and the tendency to act in hybrid mode
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
