The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Analitično-raziskovalna faza zajema pregled sekundarnih virov, naravo in cilje zdravstvene storitve. Sestavlja vpogled v razvoj zdravstva, pregled trenutnega stanja zdravstvene dejavnosti, napovedi prihodnosti ter zajema dejavnike uspešne komunikacije. Drugi del raziskave: kvantitativna in kvalitativna raziskava. The master thesis follows the methodology of the service design process and it is divided into four parts: Discover and define a problem. The following master’s thesis explores the problem of lack of exercise among children with Down syndrome, and offers different ways and approaches to motivate them to participate in climbing activities. I used different methods of service design, with numerous iterations, to test different ways and approaches to try and enhance children’s motivation for climbing, as well as achieve greater group homogeneity when executing climbing lessons. I observed the problem from three points of view: The importance of social inclusion of special needs children in those sports activities, which are mostly aimed at children with a regular development, The importance, involvement and role of service design as a tool in design practice when planning a service for most vulnerable social groups, Exploration of specific characteristics of sport climbing as a potentially good rehabilitation tool for children with Down syndrome. Through a four-stage process of researching, defining, developing and implementation, I devised a prudent plan of climbing activities, carefully constructed so as to meet the needs of children with regular development, as well as children with Down syndrome. Therefore, the main focus of my thesis is the inclusion of children with Down syndrome in climbing activities, which are ordinarily meant for children with typical development. With the research presented in this thesis, I confirmed my assumption that a suitably designed climbing activity with certain adjustments is appropriate for children with Down syndrome and can serve as a very effective rehabilitation method

Rezultat tega diplomskega dela je interpretacija bivalnega okolja v prihodnosti s pomočjo sodobnih metod oblikovanja in ponovnim razmislekom v okviru postavljenih omejitev ob petdeseti obletnici omenjene razstave. The bachelor thesis has explored the future of our domestic landscape. The domestic landscape of the future has been defined in a formal sense as well as in the context of relationships between the domestic landscape and the current global problems. The thesis is based on the brief from Emilio Ambazs, who wrote it for Italian designers in 1972 for the exhibition Italy: The new domestic landscape in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The result of this bachelor thesis is my interpretation of the domestic landscape of the future with the aid of modern design methods considering the imposed limitations at the 50th anniversary of the previously mentioned exhibition

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

This master’s thesis explores opportunities for the introduction of advanced technologies into mental health services for young adults, with the goal of improving accessibility and adapting these services to the needs and habits of target users. During the research and analytical phase, it was found that young people with mental health issues face numerous obstacles when seeking professional help, which hinder access to appropriate care. This is also indicated by global statistics: approximately 20% of all children and adolescents have mental health problems, but only 10–20% of them receive the necessary help. Therefore, I focused my research on identifying the reasons for the low accessibility of services and opportunities for improvement. Due to the desire to design a solution that would fully meet the needs of the target users, I enriched the findings from the research with the implementation of co-design workshops with which we, together with the participants, successfully demonstrated how the active involvement of target users in the design process contributes to the creation of useful and quality solutions. The final result of the master’s thesis thus represents a concept of a comprehensive application that provides young people with support in recognizing symptoms, self-help, and seeking quality professional help

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Prebivalcem in mimoidočim zagotavljajo čisti vir pitne vode in s tem opolno močijo skupnosti. The Master\u27s thesis focuses on designing solutions that would empower users of unmonitored water catchments. In the research-analysis phase, it was established that as much as 20 % of Slovenians live in areas that are not part of the public water system and are consequently not monitored. Such a situation is mainly present in more mountainous regions, where they have to boil water or use other purification methods. The examined area of the thesis is located within the Triglav National Park at the Lipnik Spring, where elevated levels of E. Coli bacteria were detected. The proposed solution is a system of water filters that works according to the principle of ceramic filtration and is thus produced using 3D clay printing technology. The filters are suitable for remote locations, as they do not require electricity or regular supply for their operation. With the combination of a gyroid structure and an Archimedean screw, they take advantage of the flow of water in which they are located and operate autonomously. The solution doesn’t just provide passers-by and residents with a clean source of drinking water but also empowers the communities. As part of the thesis, a modification of the filters was also developed for locations where the river flow cannot be used and basic infrastructure is accessible

Capitalism is based on planetary ecosystem exploitation and as such predicts infinite growth on a finite planet, which leads to accelerated degradation of the natural environment. Predominant values of this system have negative impacts on particular natural human characteristics which are crucial for our long-term survival. The new design approach is based to shift behaviour patterns from destructive to more in tune with nature, sustainable. To re-establish the balance between the natural environment and society, we have to understand how ecosystems and natural processes work. On this basis, the process leads designers in forming technical and systematic solutions, for them to be long-lasting and functional. REsense service, which was based on this new approach, encourages responsible use of furniture and reduces chemical pollution by avoiding the production of new materials. REsense provides furniture refurbishment, products and interior furnishing with waste material and by that rejects the established consumer practice which harms the natural environment. Furthermore, the solution encourages users emotional attachment which manifests in more sustainable behaviour and prolonged product life span
