Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. WEARING A SKI HELMET AS A PREVENTION OF INJURIES
Alpsko rekreativno skijanje nagli je porast doživjelo nakon završetka Drugog svjetskog rata - s razvojem skijaške tehnologije pa sve do danas. Broj rekreativnih skijaša rastao je iz godine u godinu. S povećanjem broja skijaša, povećao se i broj ozljeda na skijaškim terenima. Iako je najučestalija skijaška ozljeda prednjeg križnog ligamenta, ozljede glave nalaze se na trećem mjestu. Ozljede glave nalaze na trećem mjestu s obzirom na frekvenciju pojavnosti svih skijaških ozljeda. Traumatska ozljeda mozga (eng. Traumatic Brain Injury – TBI) glavni je uzročnik pojave smrtonosnih ishoda. TBI se može podijeliti u tri razine: 1) blaga ozljeda mozga – gubitak svijesti ili pamćenja manje od sat vremena; 2) umjerena ozljeda mozga - gubitak svijesti do jednog dana i 3) ozbiljna ozljeda mozga – gubitak svijesti duže od jednog dana, koma i smrt. Glavni cilj rada bio je objediniti dokaze o prednostima i nedostatcima nošenja skijaške kacige. Dokazano je da skijaška kaciga pozitivno sprječava prodor tvrdih materijala, ali nepovoljno utječe na prodor zvuka do ušiju. Nekoliko je istraživanja dokazalo kako kaciga ima najnepovoljniji učinak za odrasle osobe koje su godinama skijale bez kacige, ali su iz nekog razloga počele nositi kacigu.
U zaključku rada navodi se kako su kacige prisutne u drugim individualnim i ekipnim sportovima, ali i u svakodnevnoj uporabi prilikom vožnje bicikla. Skijaške bi se kacige trebale nositi zbog prevencije prodora tvrdih materijala, ali također bi se skijaše trebalo osvijestiti za ponašanje na stazi kako bi se nastanak nesreća i ozljeda smanjio na minimum.Alpine recreational skiing experienced a sharp increase with the development of ski technologies in the period from the beginning of the 20th century until 2020, the 21st st. The number of recreational skiers grew from year to year with a million increase. With the increase in the number of recreational athletes, the number of injuries also increased. The most common ski injury is a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) with an incidence of 20 - 29% of all injuries occurring until 1993. with very little or no decline in subsequent years.
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the most common cause of death. TBI can be divided into three levels: 1) Mild brain injury - loss of consciousness or memory in less than an hour 2) moderate brain injury - loss of consciousness for up to one day and 3) Serious brain injury - loss of consciousness for more than a day, coma, death.
The main goal of the paper was to gather evidence on the advantages and disadvantages of wearing a ski helmet. It has been proven that a ski helmet prevents the penetration of hard materials, but adversely affects the penetration of sound to the ears. Several studies have proven that a helmet has the most adverse effect for adults who have skied without a helmet for years but for some reason started wearing a helmet. Regarding the occurrence of traumatic brain injury, there is insufficient research. A source was found in which the Austrian company "Atomic" presented a helmet with AMID technology for 2020. The technology is based on an additional sponge between the head and the helmet to redirect the resulting force and prevent the potential formation of TBI.
The conclusion of the paper states that helmets are present in other individual and team sports, but also in everyday use when riding a bicycle. Ski helmets should be worn to prevent the penetration of hard materials, but skiers should also be made aware of their behavior on the piste to minimize the occurrence of accidents
Influence of gating system type on the casting of bearing bracket
U radu je opisano lijevanje aluminijskih legura, a najviše lijevanje aluminija i njegovih legura u kalupe od pijeska. Pojašnjeni su dijelovi uljevnog sustava, te je napravljen proračun osnovnih dijelova uljevnog sustava. Opisano je i napajanje odljevaka te način skrućivanja. Približe su prikazane i pogreške koje su vidljive na odljevcima. U teorijskom dijelu opisana je i primjena računalnih simulacija kod lijevanja.
U praktičnom dijelu rada konstruiran je model sa različitim varijantama uljevnog sustava. Uspoređeni su rezultati za semitlačni i tlačni uljevni sustav koji su dobiveni numeričkom simulacijom u programu ProCAST. Također prikazan je i proces izrade kalupa, te proces lijevanja. Greške na odljevku podudaraju se rezultatima simulacije.This thesis describes the casting of aluminium alloys, especially the casting of aluminium alloys
in expendable sand moulds. The parts of the gating system explained and the calculation of the
basic parts of the gating system was made. Feeding of castings and the solidification mode are
also described. Defects that occur on the castings are also shown. The application of computer
simulations in casting is also described in the theoretical part.

system was constructed. The results for pressurised and non-pressurised gating system were
compared. Results were obtained by numerical simulation in the ProCAST software. The mould
making process and the casting process are also shown. At the end, the defects that occur in the

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods

Tema ovog završnog rada je analiza strujanja oko pojednostavljenog modela modernog
automobila tip 4. Završni rad je podijeljen u dva dijela koji se sastoje od teorijskog i praktičnog
dijela. U teorijskom dijelu opisana je povijest i teorija o aerodinamici automobila, te o korištenju
računalne dinamike fluida. Spomenuto je još i Ahmedovo tijelo koji je jedan od prvih modela na
kojem su se radila ispitivanja, te oblik modela kakav se danas koristi u simulacijama. U praktičnom
dijelu napravljeno je pojednostavljenje geometrije modela automobila, izrađena je numerička
mreža te su definirani rubni uvjeti potrebni za izradu simulacije koja se bazirala na iterativnom
rješenju Navier-Stokes jednadžbi u programu Fluent. Za različite ulazne brzine strujanja prikazana
su polja statičkog, dinamičkog i totalnog tlaka kao i konture brzina.The topic of this final paper is the „Analysis of currents around the simplified model of modern
car type 4. The final work is divided into two parts consisting of theoretical and practical parts.
The theoretical part describes the history and theory of car aerodynamics and the use of computer
dynamics of fluid. Ahmed’s body was also mentioned, which is one of the first models, on which the
studies were conducted, as well as the model form used in simulations today. In the practical part,
a simplification of the geometry of the car model was made, a numerical mesh was created and
boundary conditions were defined for the simulation based on the iterative solution of the NavierStokes equation in the Fluent program. Static,dynamic and total pressure fields, as well as speed
