Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

In this study we are trying to reveal if potential customers they think is reliable and they take into consideration of purchasing products that are promoted on social media networks. Social media networks have grown in power an influence over the last years as never before, reaching over 3.4 billion unique users worldwide. They can be consider a truly catalyst of communication. The study represents a desk research regarding how social media networks influence the process of purchasing products and services. JEL:M31, M37
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Aspecte teoretice și practice ale securității energetice a economiei României în contextul unei dezvoltări durabile
GRIBINCEA, Alexandru, POPESCU, Maria. Theoretical and practical aspects of energy security of the Romanian economy in the context of sustainable development = Aspecte teoretice și practice ale securității energetice a economiei României în contextul unei dezvoltări durabile. In: Economic security in the context of sustenable development [online]: The Collection of the International Scientific-Practical Conference, December 11, 2020, ASEM, Chișinău, Moldova. Chişinău: ASEM, 2021, pp. 10-19. ISBN 978-9975-155-01-4.The energy policy of the E.U. has constantly adapted to the macroeconomic and geo-strategic realities of the member states policies, in order to provide and ensure security of energy supply, constancy, sustainability and also to guarantee affordable and competitive prices for all the consumers, where as a major beneficiary of energy, still has a vulnerable and unstable position on the global market. The challenges of climate change, supporting development in energy efficiency as a contribution to tempering energy transfer demands, reducing gas emissions, all lead to the development of research, innovation and increasing competitiveness. Energy security is, along with competitiveness and sustainable development, one of the pillars of the energy strategy. Romania must start from a rigorous analysis of what it has, to propose a strategy by 2030, which will correlate national investments with European and global ones, to find the right model in terms of market configuration and internal energy system, to benefit from the development of the interconnection of the gas-energy networks north-south and to build an energy community, which will support the national energy regulators and operators and of transmission systems. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
Analiza sectorului agricol în cadrul Uniunii Europene
BUZOIANU, Ovidiu, PASCU, Bogdan, POPESCU, Maria Loredana. Analiza sectorului agricol în cadrul Uniunii Europene. In: Competitivitatea şi inovarea în economia cunoaşterii [online]: conf. şt. intern., 22-23 sept., 2017: Culegere de articole. Chişinău: ASEM, 2018, vol. 4, pp. 57-62. E-ISBN 978-9975-75-899-4.Precision agriculture or precision farming, is a modern farming management concept using digital techniques to monitor and optimise agricultural production processes. Rather than applying the same amount of fertilisers over an entire agricultural field, or feeding a large animal population with equal amounts of feed, it will measure variations in conditions within a field and adapt its fertilising or harvesting strategy accordingly. Likewise, it will assess the needs and conditions of individual animals in larger herds and optimise feeding on a per-animal basis. Precision agriculture methods promise to increase the quantity and quality of agricultural output while using less input (water, energy, fertilisers, pesticides, etc.). The aim is to save costs, reduce environmental impact and produce more and better food
Omul și degradarea mediului natural. Efecte distructive

In: Competitivitatea şi inovarea în economia cunoaşterii [online]: culegere de articole selective: conf. şt. intern., 28-29 sept., 2018. Chişinău: ASEM, 2018, vol. 1, pp. 159-165. E-ISBN 978-9975-75-932-8.Pollution is a way to destroy the natural environment. Pollution represents the penetration of natural and artificial pollutants into the natural environment resulting from human activity: industry, agriculture, transport, which are loss of human activity. The environment is the natural environment that has been transformed over time by humans. It is made up of relief, water, air, vegetation and soil, which are the elements of the natural environment in which people live. Each element plays an extremely important role in the formation of the natural environment.
This article aims at identifying some of the destructive effects of pollution and the direction of recovery in the context of sustainable development. The deterioration of the environment is caused by: the existence of many cars, reactive airplanes and heavy ships, too many factories operating on old, polluting, high-consumption raw materials, water and energy technologies that ultimately determine the growing needs of a population in a demographic explosion and, in particular, the existence of large urban agglomerations. A main conclusion of our research is that for Earth to remain a living planet, people's interests must be correlated with the laws of nature. JEL: Q01, Z1
