    Cílem této práce je odhalit klíčové faktory a výzvy spojené s řízením etnicky různorodého pojišťovacího zastoupení v oboru životního pojištění v Malajsii. Autor si klade za cíl zkoumat pohled vedoucích prodeje v Organizaci G v Malajsii na jejich způsob řízení agentů. Kombinované kvantitativní a kvalitativní metody budou použity prostřednictvím průzkumu a rozhovorů se 79 agenty a 12 vedoucími prodeje. Odpovědi budou analyzovány za účelem porozumění výzvám, kterým čelí vedoucí prodeje při řízení etnicky různorodého zastoupení, a zkoumat potenciální řešení. Autor navrhuje iniciativy a metody k posílení stylů vedení a zlepšení procesů pro udržení úspěšného zastoupení v kontextu etnické rozmanitosti.The goal of this thesis is to uncover the key factors and challenges in managing an ethnically diverse insurance agency in Malaysia's life insurance industry. The author aims to examine the sales managers' perspective in Organisation G, Malaysia, regarding their expression of managing their agents. Quantitative and qualitative methods will be employed through surveys and interviews among 79 agents and 12 sales managers. The responses will be analysed to understand the challenges sales managers face in managing a multi-ethnic agency and explore potential solutions. The author proposes initiatives and methods to enhance leadership styles and improve the processes for maintaining a successful agency in the context of multi-ethnicity

    In the last few years, one of the main characteristics of the current technological development is the constantly increasing need for data exchange among various types of devices, both mobile and fixed. Within this context, the direct communications between devices has the potential to create new, location-based peer-to-peer applications and services, as well as to help offload traffic from the congested traditional cellular networks. The main hurdles for this kind of Device to Device (D2D) communications are throughput, spectral efficiency, latency and fairness. Most of these hurdles can be overcome by the use of the new Social IoT (SIoT) paradigm, of things and people involved together in the network, guided autonomously by social relationships following the rules set by their owners. This paper aims to investigate the state of the art of socially-driven D2D communications. Upon an initial analysis, we perform an in-deep literature investigation of the main directions in which social ties can improve D2D communication, draw conclusions and identify the research topics left open

    A very sensitive superconducting traveling wave photodetector made of a modified box-shaped waveguide, which includes two high index layers and an active superconducting layer, is studied. The optical propagation constants and the power absorption efficiency for guided modes are determined using the finite element method; the results show that by acting only on the waveguide geometry, different confinement regimes of the light in the absorption superconducting layer can be achieved and optimize

    A Dark Matter Disc in the Milky Way

    Dark matter direct detection experiments need to know the local phase space density of dark matter fdm(r,v,t) in order to derive dark matter particle properties. To date, calculations for fdm(r,v,t) have been based on simulations that model the dark matter alone. Here we include the influence of the baryonic matter. We find that a star/gas disc at high redshift (z~1) causes merging satellites to be preferentially dragged towards the disc plane. This results in an accreted dark matter disc that contributes ~0.25-1 times the non-rotating halo density at the Solar position. We discuss the impact of the dark disc on dark matter direct detection experiments, and how we might be able to detect it in future Galactic surveys

The projective lines identified in the rational/unirational moduli spaces correspond to pencils of Abelian surfaces traced on nodal threefolds living naturally in the corresponding ambient projective spaces, and whose small resolutions are new Calabi–Yau threefolds with Euler characteristic zero

To achieve this author elaborated on the s the company’s approach towards innovation, evaluated the impact of being a family business on its innovativeness, explored the external factors, assessed how is G. Benedikt compared to its competitors in terms of innovation and market trends that may affect the development of new products. Additionally, the research seeks to uncover potential areas of focus and opportunities for further innovation to drive growth and maintain a competitive edge within the industry.Tato práce se věnuje důležitosti inovací v neustále se měnícím světě, a to i v tradiční společnosti. Cílem této práce je získat komplexní představu o faktorech, které ovlivňují inovaci výrobků ve společnosti G. Benedikt, a identifikovat trendy a faktory v odvětví HoReCa, které mohou společnosti pomoci udržet si konkurenceschopnost a ziskovost i v budoucnu. Za tímto účelem autorka zpracovala přístup společnosti k inovacím, zhodnotila vliv toho, že je rodinným podnikem, na její inovativnost, prozkoumala vnější faktory, posoudila, jak je společnost G. Benedikt srovnávána se svými konkurenty z hlediska inovací a tržních trendů, které mohou ovlivnit vývoj nových výrobků. Kromě toho se výzkum snažil odhalit potenciální oblasti, na které je třeba se zaměřit, a příležitosti pro další inovace, aby se podpořil růst a udržel konkurenční náskok v rámci odvětví
