Pedagogy of musical performance applied in the transverse flute course of the Guri Santa Marcelina Project
This research discusses pedagogical views and teaching practices in the flute education courses offered by the Guri Santa Marcelina São Paulo Project. The main objective is to analyze teaching actions related to flute education, such as the use of the body (posture), breathing, quality of sound emission (sonority), and musicality. The adopted methodological approach was a literature review, encompassing publications in conference proceedings, periodical articles, books, audiovisual material, and personal archives relevant to the topic. It also includes an experiential account from the author, who has been involved in the project for an extended period. The concept of Musical Performance Pedagogy - MPP (Ray, 2019), as well as perspectives on flute education (Henriques, 2018; Sartor, 2016; Nascimento, 2016; D'Avila, 2009, among others), was discussed, considering its applications in the Guri Santa Marcelina Project – PGSM. The Suzuki methodology (2008), widely used in collective music instrument education, also served as a reference. The teaching methods for the flute and the teaching strategies employed in these projects were investigated. Based on the discussions, suggestions were proposed to enhance flute education strategies. The dissertation is structured into an introduction and four chapters, namely: Introduction; 1. Literature Review: Guri Santa Marcelina Project, Musical Performance Pedagogy, and related terminologies; 2. Experiential Account; 3. Considerations on flute literature; 4. Teaching Actions related to flute education in the Guri Santa Marcelina Project. The conclusion regarding the analysis of teaching actions related to flute education, covering aspects such as posture, breathing, sonority, and expressiveness, demonstrates the need to adopt diverse methods and methodologies for flute education. This approach with different methods and methodologies aims to meet the distinct needs and specificities of the students in the Guri Santa Marcelina Project
Christian Inspirations in Pedagogy – A Reflection on the Value of Religious Education Based on the Example of thoge Blessed Marcelina Darowska's Pedagogy
The article entitled “Christian Inspirations in Pedagogy – A Reflection on the Value of Religious Education Based on the Example of the Blessed Marcelina Darowska’s Pedagogy” is an attempt to describe the significance and the meaning of the Christian education in the whole process of education of the human being. The author proves that the religious education is very important for maturity of the human personality and for the whole development of man in all dimensions of his life. The significance of the Christian education is presented on the base of sister Marcelina Darowska’s idea of pedagogy. This analysis has two parts: the first one describes the most important assumptions of the Christian pedagogy. The second part is the analysis of the pedagogical system of Marcelina Darowska. Her motto was “educations is the work of love” and all other rules arise from this basic truth. Next, the author presents the main thesis of this pedagogical system and its principles: (1) God is the most important point of reference for the education; (2) education to patriotic conduct of the pupils; (3) fidelity to duties of your own place; (4) formation towards to independent thinking. Next, the author describes the value of this pedagogy for our times. The following features are also underlined: reference to God in the educational process; education based on references to God; the priority of the education
in its entirety versus intellectual formation itself; respecting of the pupils’ subjectivity; education based on truth and confidence. The article concludes with the thought that the pedagogy of Marcelina Darowska is universal, timeless and can be a precious indicator for further research in today’s education
The Virgin Mary of Częstochowa in Blessed Marcelina Darowska's Life
The article discusses the role that was played by the devotion to the Virgin Mary of Częstochowa in the spiritual life of Mother Marcelina Darowska who was a co-funder of the Order of the Immaculate Conception and then for many years was its superior. The author considers that role in connection with the history of Jasna Góra at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. The development of the cult of the Virgin Mary of Częstochowa at the turn of the 19th century played a significant role in Mother Marcelina's spiritual life. Russian repressive measures against the Częstochowa sanctuary and against the Paulinite Fathers as well as attempts at discrediting the monastery were a source of suffering for her. In 1910 she sacrificed her life as compensation for the tragedy of fratricide that had taken place in Jasna Góra. Until her death in 1911 she supported both in her personal life and in the life of her Order an extraordinary devotion to the Virgin Mary reigning over the Polish nation from Częstochowa

Abstract:
Antihyperglycemic interventions have centered on increasing insulin availability, improving insulin sensitivity or restoring β-cell activity to normalize plasma glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. An alternative strategy is to enhance urinary glucose excretion by targeting renal sodium-glucose co-transporters (SGLTs). Sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors reduce blood glucose by increasing urinary glucose excretion and present a valuable therapeutic option for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Presently, clinically available SGLT2 inhibitors include canagliflozin, dapagliflozin and empagliflozin [1, 2].
Keywords: sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors, glucose, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular effect
Diverse Forschungsansätze vor dem Hintergrund der Spuren von schweren, in der Sprache verewigten Zeiten – Zum Sammelband von Mariusz Jakosz und Marcelina Kałasznik (Hrsg.) "Corona-Pandemie im Text und Diskurs"
The main theme of the multi-author monograph published in 2023 by Mariusz Jakosz (Katowice) and Marcelina Kałasznik (Wrocław) is a wide range of selected language changes in the context of extralingual factors in the form of the COVID-19 pandemic and related accompanying phenomena, such as fear, weakness, limitation, loneliness, helplessness, etc. The aim of the review article is to check and discuss the contribution of specific works by the individual authors, included in the monograph, representing various academic centers in Poland and Europe, and to explain and illustrate the mechanisms of language adaptation to the rapidly changing conditions of extralingual reality in the conditions of the global COVID-19 pandemic
On glass plates: Norwid’s unknown drawings, or Marcelina Czartoryska’s Album
The article is concerned with one of Norwid’s artistic albums, called Marcelina Czartoryska’s Album named so after the owner’s name. Because the collection that was built up in the 19th century has not lasted till our times, in the introduction the author presents the present state of research on the album on the basis of the available literature of the subject, paying attention to a number of ambiguous, or even controversial questions that appear in the studies. Next she presents unknown archival material found in various museum collections: a detailed description of the album provided by Antoni Euzebiusz Balicki at the beginning of the 20th century, that at present is found in Juliusz Wiktor Gomulicki’s archive, and a collection of 10 photographs of album pages from Ignacy Krieger’s Krakow studio, coming from the same period. The published materials make it to a large degree possible to reconstruct the contents of the album that is an interesting document, enriching our knowledge not only of Norwid’s visual heritage, but also on a broader plane – of his artistic biography
