Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Analysis of the economy of the investment of energy rehabilitation of the heating system
Full text linkTermoelektrarna Brestanica je po opravljenem celostnem energetskem pregledu družbe ugotovila, da je obstoječi kotel na energent zemeljski plin ali ekstra lahko kurilno olje moči 3,2 MW bil dotrajan, zastarel in z nizko energetsko učinkovitostjo. Prav tako je njegov vpliv na okolje bil prevelik, zaradi česar so bili primorani do konca leta 2019 opraviti sanacijo le tega. Tako so obstoječi kotel nadomestili z tremi novimi moči 600 kW (kondenzacijski kotel) in 2x 1400 kW (nizkotemperaturni kotel).
V letu 2018 so stroški ogrevanja znašali 52.219,22 EUR, v primeru uporabe novih kotlov bi pa strošek znašal 40.640 EUR, kar predstavlja 11.579,07 EUR letnega prihranka.
Vrednost investicije je znašala 879.628 EUR, kar pomeni, da bi se investicija povrnila v 75 letih. Investitor ima v prihodnosti, ko bo na podlagi dejanskih podatkov o porabi in stroških delovanja ogrevalnega sistema, namen natančneje izračunati prihranke, opraviti ponovno analizo, saj pričakuje, da bodo stroški ogrevanja na račun nove regulacije in krmiljenja še nižji od predvidenih, ki pa jih je trenutno nemogoče predvideti oz. oceniti.After completing a comprehensive energy audit of the company, the Brestanica thermal power plant found that the existing 3.2-MW steamblock, which runs on extra-light fuel oil or natural gas, was outdated and with low energy efficiency. Also, its environmental impact was too great, forcing them to remediate it by the end of 2019. Thus, the existing boiler was replaced with new 600 kW (condensing) and two 1400 kW (low temperature) boilers.
In 2018, the cost of heating was EUR 52,219.22, and if new boilers were used the cost would be EUR 40,640, representing an annual savings of EUR 11,579.07.
The value of the investment was EUR 879,628, which means that the investment would return in 75 years. In the future, when it will be possible to calculate the savings more precisely, the investor will carry out a re-analysis, where he expects the heating costs to be even lower at the expense of automation, which is currently difficult to estimate

No full textMagistrska naloga je bila izdelana v sodelovanju z podjetjem TPV Automotive d. o. o., ki je razvojni dobavitelj v avtomobilski industriji. Izdelke izdelujejo z različnimi postopki, medtem ko je bil predmet magistrske naloge postopek preoblikovanja globoki vlek z uporabo servo stiskalnice Fagor TSED4-3000-7000-2500. V sklopu magistrske naloge sem optimiziral procesne parametre servo stiskalnice z uporabo programskega paketa Syncro. Omenjeni program omogoča izdelavo poljubnega hitrostnega profila stiskalnice ob upoštevanju fizičnih omejitev stiskalnice in tehnoloških omejitev izdelka. Hitrostni profil sem optimiziral za štiri različna orodja, katerih produktivnost sem povečal v povprečju za 38%.The master\u27s thesis was prepared in cooperation with the company TPV Automotive d. o. o., which is a development supplier in the automotive industry. The products are manufactured using different processes, while the subject of the master’s thesis was deep drawing transformation process using a Fagor TSED4-3000-7000-2500 servo press. As part of my master\u27s thesis, I optimized the process parameters of a servo press using the Syncro software package. The mentioned program enables the realization of the full speed profile of the press while using the physical limitations of the press and the technological limitations of the product. I optimized four different tools whose productivity was increased by an average of 38% by changing speed profile of servo press
Organizational climate and social networks analysis in lango plus d.o.o.
Full text linkV diplomskem delu Organizacijska klima in analiza egocentričnih omrežij v podjetju Lango plus d.o.o. smo se dotaknili teoretičnih osnov organizacijske klime. Zapisali smo njene lastnosti, dimenzije, merjenje le-te ter vpliv in participacijo v delovnem procesu. Opisali smo tudi socialna omrežja, pri katerih smo se posebej osredotočili na egocentrična omrežja in analizo le-teh. V raziskovalnem delu smo merili organizacijsko klimo ter analizirali egocentrična omrežja v podjetju Lango plus d.o.o. V ta namen smo zaposlenim v podjetju poslali spletne vprašalnike, katerih podatke smo kasneje analizirali z ustreznimi statističnimi metodami. Povprečna starost anketirancev je bila 42 let. Večina jih je moških z dokončano srednjo šolo. Na podlagi statističnih analiz smo kasneje odgovorili na raziskovalna vprašanja. Raziskovali smo dva sklopa organizacijske klime, in sicer notranje odnose ter notranje komuniciranje in informiranje. Dokazali smo, da organizacijska klima v podjetju statistično značilno ni zadovoljujoča. Z analizo egocentričnih omrežij smo ugotovili, da omrežje socialne opore zaposlenih z višjo stopnjo izobrazbe ni statistično značilno večje kot omrežje socialne opore zaposlenih z nižjo stopnjo izobrazbe in da zaposleni, ki delujejo v podjetju dlje časa, statistično značilno ne sodelujejo z več ljudmi kot zaposleni, ki so v podjetju manj časa.In the diploma thesis titled Organizational climate and social networks analysis in Lango plus d.o.o., we researched the theoretical bases of the organizational climate. We listed its properties, dimensions, the measurement, and the influence and participation in the work process. We also described social networks where we focused on egocentric networks and their analysis.
In an empirical part, we analyzed the organizational climate and egocentric networks at Lango plus d.o.o. For this purpose, we sent online questionnaires to employees. The acquired data were analyzed with statistical methods. The average age of the respondents was 42 years. Most of them are men with finished secondary school. On the basis of the statistical analysis, we answered the research questions. We tested two categories of the organizational climate. We focused on the set of internal relations and internal communication and information. We proved that the organizational climate in the company is statistically not satisfying. By analyzing egocentric networks, we found out that social support network of the employees with a higher level of education is not statistically significantly larger than social support network of the employees with a lower level of education. The employees with more years of service do not statistically significantly cooperate with more people than employees who have fewer years of service in this company
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Action in case of amok situation at school
Full text linkPogosto varnost jemljemo kot samoumevno dobrino o kateri začnemo razmišljati šele takrat, ko jo izgubimo oziroma nam je omejena. Varnostni izzivi in varnostni dogodki so v vzgojno-izobraževalnih ustanovah vse pogostejši. Če je v preteklosti veljajo, da se streljanja v šolah pojavljajo le v Združenih državah Amerike, kjer je orožje dosegljivo praktično vsem, se je to v zadnjem desetletju konkretno spremenilo. Kar nekaj amok dogodkov se je zgodilo tudi na območju Evrope. Šole so prve institucije, ki so seznanjene z medvrstniškim nasiljem. Za naše vzgojno-izobraževalne zavode velja, da se v njih strokovni delavci pretežno poslužujejo mehkih veščin, ki so potrebne za preprečevanje nasilja in posledično amok dogodkov. Med te veščine uvrščamo predvsem preventivne dejavnosti in dejavnosti ozaveščanja ter pozitiven zgled strokovnih delavcev mladim. Pa vendar je področje nasilja izjemno široko in tako ga je potrebno tudi naslavljati. Pri tem mora veljati, da je vsakršno nasilje nesprejemljivo in da je za uspešno omejevanje in morebitno reakcijo ob pojavu le tega, potrebna usklajenost na relaciji šola – starši ob podpori vseh zunanjih institucij, kot so policija, zdravstveni domovi, centri za socialno delo, Ministrstvo za vzgojo in izobraževanje in drugi. Velik delež vpliva na učence predstavlja tudi celotna družba, ki lahko s svojimi negativnimi zgledi in vplivi, posameznika potisne do tiste točke, ko je njegova negativna reakcija lahko tudi strelski pohod po šoli z namenom ubiti in raniti čim več ljudi brez obžalovanja. V takšnih primerih je izjemno pomembna dobra pripravljenost zaposlenih v šolah ter njihovo brezpogojno sodelovanje z ostalimi deležniki pri reševanju omenjene situacije. Za takšno sodelovanje so potrebna izobraževanja in skupna urjenja, potrebo po katerih izražajo tudi ravnatelji šol.We often take safety for granted, only considering it when it is lost or restricted. Security challenges and incidents are increasingly common in educational institutions. While in the past, school shootings were considered a phenomenon limited to United States of America, where firearms are readily accessible, this has significantly changed over the past decade. Several amok incidents have also occurred in Europe. Schools are the first institutions to be aware of peer violence. In our educational institutions, professionals predominantly use soft skills necessary to prevent violence and consequently amok events. These skills mainly include preventive activities, awareness-raising activities, and positive role models provided by educational professionals to young people. However, the issue of violence is exceptionally broad and must be addressed accordingly. It must be emphasized that all forms of violence are unacceptable and that successful limitation and possible response to its occurrence require coordination between the school and parents, supported by external institutions such as the police, health centers, social work centers, the Ministry of Education, and others. A significant influence on students also comes from the entire society, which, through its negative examples and influences, can push an individual to the point where their negative reaction could be a shooting spree in a school, aiming to kill and injure as many people as possible without remorse. In such cases, the good preparedness of school staff and their unconditional cooperation with other stakeholders in resolving the mentioned situation is extremely important. Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
