CHANGING NATURE OF LEADERSHIP IN TERMS OF AGEING. YOUNG LIONS AND GREY FALCONS
This paper highlights discussions of leadership from age perspective. Age is an often debated subject but how big a role does age actually play in a work community? The aim of this study is to examine the work of managers in terms of ageing. How they have changed in the course of time. The framework of the study is age management. Aging has also influence on leadership. This meaning of ageing and age diversity determines in leadership discourse. This study highlights three different discourses of leadership. This study is based on the interviews of four managers. The selection of interviewees is based on organisational and generational differences. Conclusion of interview analysis suggest that Managers discuss their work from three different framework viewpoints: 1. The Frame of Age and Ageing, 2. The Frame of Responsibility and 3. The Frame of Personality.leadership, ageing, age management, diverse age groups, generational differences, responsibility.
Eri-ikäisyys ja ikäjohtaminen - Diskursiivinen tutkimus
The purpose of this paper is to examine different age groups and age management in organizations. Age management is obviously an important issue in business organizations
and in society as a whole, as it is seen as one solution to the problem of an aging workforce. Age management is defined in this paper based on the theory of diversity management, which regards age as one aspect of diversity. In this paper I explore what kinds of meanings people in the case organizations attach
to age and how they define age management in organizations. My research method is discourse analysis,
in which the focus is on speech. The main outcome of the study is that people construct “the old” and “the young” as two distinct groups in their organizational discourses. The identity of a “young” and an “old” worker are similarly constructed.
Two specific types of discourses were derived from the empirical data related to age management, namely: efficiency discourse and community discourse

Implications of ageing for work:
Perspectives for research
The article, which focuses on age management and its various definitions and interpretations, was prompted by the need to examine
the significance of age management within an
organisational framework. The research material combines conceptual research and relevant
literature. The National Programme on Ageing
Workers 1998–2002 serves as the background
for the study. In addition to providing essential
data, the Programme was the first to introduce
the concept of age management. Since its introduction, age management has been given a
wide variety of meanings. Therefore it proved
necessary to take a closer look at the relationship between age and management. The article
approaches age management by identifying ‘age’
and ‘ageing’, and by considering the relationship
between ‘age’ and ‘management’ Organisational
research often takes the form of applied research. For this reason, conceptual, structuring
work provides opportunities to deepen understanding of age management issues.peerReviewe

Towards an International Data Standard for Immovable Property Valuation
Immovable property valuation is performed by public sector actors for several land management activities, such as property taxation, expropriation or compulsory purchase of land, land re-adjustment and land consolidation; and private sector actors perform valuation for purchase, real estate financing, investment analysis, and further property transactions. The valuation process returns estimated value (e.g. market value) of property units based on their legal, physical, geographic, economic, and environmental characteristics, as recorded at public registries or observed on location. The ISO 19152:2012 Land Administration Domain Model (LADM) presents a conceptual schema for the specification of property units and their legal and geometric characteristics recorded at cadaster and land register, and relates these datasets with other property related datasets (e.g., valuation, taxation, land use, land cover) recorded at external databases. A recently initiated collaborative research (see Çağdaş, 2016) aims at developing a data model for one of these external databases, in terms of a Valuation Module for the ISO 19152:2012 LADM which is supposed to define semantics of valuation databases maintained by public authorities especially for immovable property taxation. The present paper presents preliminary results of this initiative, and describes a draft version of the Valuation Module which specifies the input and output data used and produced when single or mass appraisal processes are performed according to published standards and recommendations. It also presents a questionnaire which was prepared to create an inventory of valuation applications all over the world, and will be used as source data for the elaboration of the draft module. The paper also opens a discussion about this initiative, and calls for contributions of other relevant bodies (e.g. FIG, OGC, TEGOVA, IVSC and IAAO) for the further development of the draft Valuation Module.OLD Department of GIS Technolog
A Knowledge Organization System for the Development of an ISO 19152:2012 LADM Valuation Module
The challenge to develop interactive information services for new domains is supported by Knowledge Organization Systems and Services (KOS), which model the underlying semantic structure of a domain through classification systems, thesauri, gazetteers, or ontologies. The ISO 19152:2012 Land Administration Domain Model (LADM) is an international standard regarding the management of information about ownership, value and use of land. The current version of LADM addresses legal and administrative aspects; the standard revision starts in 2017, according to ISO’s periodic maintenance procedure. A group of researchers have initiated the development of a valuation component of LADM in terms of a draft extension module. It concerns the fiscal parties involved in the valuation practices and fiscal real property units that are the objects of valuation (see Çağdaş et al., 2016). The present paper aims at supporting this initiative by providing a domain vocabulary and thesaurus. The presented Valuation Thesaurus is developed according to the ANSI/NISO Z.39.19-2005 ‘Guidelines for the Construction, Format, and Management of Monolingual Controlled Vocabularies’ and includes terms derived from international valuation standards, such as European Valuation Standards (TEGoVA, 2012), International Valuation Standard (IVSC, 2013), Standard on Mass Appraisal of Real Property (IAAO, 2013a), Standard on Automated Valuation Models (2003), Standard on Ratio Studies (IAAO, 2013b). It is encoded through the Simple Knowledge Organization Systems (SKOS) specifications developed by World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) for standardized representation of structured vocabularies. The Valuation Thesaurus reveals the core semantic of the immovable property valuation domain, and therefore supports the identification of candidate classes, class attributes and relationships for the further elaboration of the mentioned LADM Valuation Module.OLD Department of GIS Technolog
Converting The Strata Building to LADM
A country profile based on LADM has been conceptualised in the last few years as part of joint research efforts between the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The LADM conceptual model covers various aspects of spatial data components available in the mapping agency (JUPEM), including data from Land Office e.g. land registration. The Malaysian LADM country profile covers various classes of spatial unit including strata objects classes such as MY_Building, MY_ParcelUnit, MY_AccessoryUnit, MY_CommonPropertyUnit, MY_LimitedCommonPropertyUnit and MY_LandParcel. This paper discusses one experiment of converting the available building strata schema into LADM model, specifically MY_SpatialUnit for 2D and 3D. The existing building strata schema was developed based on XML syntax. The entire workflow of the experiment will be demonstrated where conversion of file with strata XML data collected from the field into the database with LADM data model, and then 3D visualization. We also plan to investigate the potentials of implementing topological connections in the conversion. It is anticipated that the developed conversion and integration modules could serve as an initial research towards a bigger scope of work for nearfuture LADM compliance model for the mapping agency and other stakeholders.
