Given that Gregor Perko’s bibliography is available at a link to SICRIS, the author of this article preferred to highlight some of the character traits of her colleague, which are evident from the paratext of his works: a sense of humour, passion for fiction, and benevolence and collegiality. The author also recalled her professional collaboration with her colleague, thus shedding further light on his personality. She concluded her contribution with two notes of appreciation written to professor Perko by two former students of French.
The piano music by Čestmír Gregor
In my thesis, I introduce a complete list of piano works by Cestmír Gregor, a contemporary Czech composer of modern classical music. 1 have tried to define his compositional techniques and sources of inspiration by analysing the individual pieces of music. I have found that the major features of the author's highly unique style are polyphonic thinking, the development of motives from small nuclei, expressive themes, plastic tunes, inventive work with rhythm, and the absence of a tonal centre which he compensates for by distinctive melodies . The author finds his inspiration in folklore, especially Moravian (Leoš Janácek), the works of Czech interwar avantgarde (Pavel Borkovec) and in jazz (Jaroslav Ježek). His music reflects the emotional states of a man living in the twenty-first century whose life style is predominantly determined by an urban environment. Gregor does not use any of the Musica Nova theories, instead he founded his own music language. The basis for his compositions is communicative music, which follows the patterns of human perceptive psychology. Gregor's concertant compositions are typical for a new instrument stylization and nontraditional attitudes towards instrument virtuosity (playing with a palm, elbow; an unconventional fingering). His piano sonatas and concerts enable the..

Gregor Piatigorsky
In this Master disertation, the author talks about the life and career of a legendary virtuoso cellist Gregor Piatigorsky. Gregor Piatigorsky is one of the most important figures in the history of cello. Piatigorsky has not only achieved an incredible solo career, but as a teacher he also raised a large number of great cellists and cello teachers of today. Among his most famous pupil are Mischa Maisky, Steven Isserlis or Raphael Wallfish. Disertation also includes authors own experience with teaching of Laurence Lesser, who was an assistant of Piatigorsky for almost 7 years, and whose style of teaching is nearly the same as Piatigorsky's

Značilnosti pogovorne češčine in francoščine v oglasih na radijskih postajah
To magistrsko delo obravnava prvine češkega in francoskega pogovornega jezika v oglasih na radijskih postajah. V prvem delu predmetne naloge sta kratko predstavljena oba jezika (število govorcev, uvrstitev v jezikovni razred in pregled narečij oz. regionalnih zvrsti jezika). Temu sledi podroben opis jezikovnih registrov/zvrsti (pogovorni, knjižni jezik) in narečij, ki so predmet raziskave, torej: splošne pogovorne (obecné) češčine, brnskega, marsejskega in pariškega govora. Sama raziskava je sestavljena iz treh delov: snemanja reklam, njihove transkripcije in nazadnje še analize. Rezultati raziskave so število pogovornih in narečnih prvin na minuto ter njihova interpretacija. The purpose of the present thesis is to describe the characteristics of colloquial Czech and French used in radio advertisements. It consists of two main parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the author shortly defines both languages in terms of number of speakers, their classification and then provides an overview of different dialects. She also specifies different language forms in both languages (colloquial and standard language) and the dialects relevant to her research, meaning common Czech spoken in Prague, the Brno dialect, colloquial Marseillais and colloquial Parisian. The research conducted by the author is presented in the practical part. The research itself consisted of: advertisement recording, advertisement transcription and analysis. The main point of interest drawn from these advertisements are the number of colloquial features per minute and the number of dialectal features per minute. The author will conclude the thesis by presenting her findings and interpreting the results.
Večjezičnost na primeru češčine in francoščine
To magistrsko delo obravnava analizo jezikovnih posebnosti pri večjezičnem posamezniku. V prvem, teoretičnem delu naloge, so na kratko predstavljeni termini, značilni za različne vrste usvajanja jezika (materni, prvi, drugi, tuji jezik in teorija kritičnega obdobja). Temu sledi opis različnih opredelitev pojava dvojezičnosti oziroma večjezičnosti z vidika različnih jezikoslovnih strokovnjakov in opis jezikovnih posebnosti pri večjezičnem posamezniku, ki je predmet raziskave (jezikovni transfer in interferenca, jezikovno mešanje in jezikovno preklapljanje). Raziskava je sestavljena iz treh delov: kratke primerjave češke in francoske slovnice, transkripcije posnetega pogovora z večjezično osebo in nazadnje še analize. Rezultati raziskave so analiza jezikovnih posebnosti na podlagi transkripcije in pisnega izdelka ter njihova interpretacija. The purpose of the present thesis is to analyse the language particularities such as linguistic transfer, interference, code-mixing and code-switching present in the speech of a multilingual individual with the language combination of Czech and French. It consists of two main parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the author shortly defines the terms connected to the language acquisition (mother tongue, first, second, foreign language and the concept of a critical period), presents different points of view on the definitions of multilingualism. She also specifies the typology of multilingualism based on the psycholinguistic point of view and describes the language particularities. The research based on the transcription of the conversation, a short written part and its analysis is presented in the practical part. The research itself consists of: conversation recording, conversation transcription and analysis of both oral and written part. The main points of interest is the presence of language particularities in different grammatical aspects. The author will conclude the thesis by presenting her findings and giving an explanation of the results. V první, teoretické části, jsou obecně popsány termíny související s osvojováním jazyka (mateřský jazyk, první jazyk, cizí jazyk a druhý jazyk), vývoj znalosti jazyka a jazykové kompetence u vícejazyčných jednotlivců (teorie kritického období), definice a typologie multilingvismu.
Gregor Samsa’s Self Alienation in Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis: Lacanian Psychoanalysis
This research is focused on Jacques Lacan\u27s psychoanalytic theory, which is described in the main character in Franz Kafka\u27s novel The Metamorphosis. Gregor Samsa is the main character of The Metamorphosis. Gregor was a traveling salesman who was the Samsa family\u27s sole son and earner. He mysteriously transforms into a massive bug, causing him to be estranged from his family. The author finds out why Gregor’s family members do not care about him and can\u27t perceive him as a complicated human being with his own needs. As a result, Gregor has been estranged from his family and himself. The author argues that Gregor has another alienation from his physical reality after the transformation. His family views him as a terrifying, unpleasant monster, as seen by their fear of his existence and their decision to get rid of him. Gregor, who suffers from humiliation, views himself in the same light. He and his family unwittingly reject Gregor\u27s potential as an individual, making him feel alienated. This research aims to identify how Gregor\u27s conditions make him feel alienated and the connection between his identity crisis and alienation, as depicted in The Metamorphosis. Although humans are free human beings, society contributes to the perspective of self-identity and the decision of their own goals
