Há um século atrás estavam no auge de suas atividades como ativistas sociais, conferencistas, defensoras do movimento de mulheres e escritoras. Nesta dissertação busco resgatar a importância de Gilman e Schreiner durante a época em que viveram discutindo algumas das idéias desenvolvidas nas suas mais influentes obras teóricas
