La normativa UNI per l'ecocompatibilità in Architettura
No full textL'articolo inquadra sinteticamente il problema della qualità ambientale in architettura a partire dalla crisi dell'energia degli anni settanta e ne traccia l'evoluzione anche sotto il profilo normativo. L'attenzione viene focalizzata sulla descrizione della norma UNI che definisce un metodo per valutare l'ecocompatibilità dei progetti edilizi. La norma, la cui stesura è stata predisposta dal gruppo UNI "sostenibilità in edilizia" coordinato da G. Peretti, è divisa in due parti, la prima riporta l'elenco dei requisiti di qualità ambientale che soddisfano le esigenze di salvaguardia ambientale e uso razionale delle risorse e la seconda, divisa a sua volta in due parti, definisce gli indicatori caratteristici di ogni requisito e ne individua i metodi di calcolo e la classificazione. Le classi previste sono sei; la classe zero è riferita al livello base o previsto dalla normativa corrente, la classe tre alla best practice, la classe cinque all'eccellenza. L' elemento peculiare di questa norma è che fa riferimento a tutto il ciclo di vita dell'edificio, dalla sua realizzazione sia fuori opera che in opera, alla fase d'uso, fino alla dismissione, demolizione e riuso. Nel saggio non si vuole sostenere che il valore di un architettura debba essere determinato attraverso un punteggio, ma rimarcare l'obiettivo della norma che è quello di dare indicazioni in merito alla valutazione delle scelte progettuali in termini di eco compatibilità. The paper handles the subject of ecocompatibility in architecture from energy crisis to sustainability design approach in order to specify the quality concept. At first standards were relative to energy parameters, then environmental resources played a major role. UNI standard, described in this paper has been defined by UNI work group "Sustainability in building" coordinator G. Peretti, makes a technological assessment of performances according to environment protection and rational use of resources in building projects. Every performance is described in a record in which the phase of life cycle, standard references and qualitative or quantitative indicators are defined. These are set out in order to make the valuation and to arrange in classes. The classes are five: the first agrees to basis level, the third correspond to best practice, the fifth to excellence. The method of environment valuation scores building design in accordance to results achieved and the performances relevance. Typical element of this standard is the relation to whole life cycle, out of the site, in the site of assemblage and during use of the building. In this essay we are not claiming that the value of architecture has to be measured through a scoring method; instead, we are interested in pointing out the objective of the standards, that is: to define indicators for the evaluation of design choices in terms of ecocompatibilit

No full textLengthening of upper limbs is an infrequent event because the surgical approach is necessary only for functional requests of single limbs and not for a different length of the limbs. The cause of short limb can be congenital or acquired postraumatic, postinfective and post tumor resection. Lengthening of both humeris is required in achondropolasic dwarves, when the shorthi est upper limbs determine a disarmony with the lower ones and when the brevity of upper limbs cause difficulties in executing normal physiological activities. Surgical therapy, now spread in the world for lower limbs, is becoming more and more applied also for upper ones. The preoperative plan should not consider the amount of the difference, the age of the patient and the prediction of future growth of the limb to operate, but only the possibility to give to the limb better functional capacities.
On this basis and after a review of previous experiencies, the authors present a general planning of the current use at their department, that has to be adapted, each, to the personal requisites of patients, as for the ideal age to perform the operation as for the surgical technique to be adopted
