Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Supercapacitors prepared from the coconut shell active carbon
U današnjem svijetu gdje održivost korištenja energije postaje jedno od važnijih pitanja, sve više se skreće pozornost na korištenje obnovljivih izvora energije. Kako bi se što više iskoristio potencijal takvih izvora, ključno je usavršiti koncept skladištenja energije u spremnicima kao što su baterije, gorive ćelije i superkondenzatori. U ovom radu istražena je mogućnost korištenja različitih vrsta aktivnog ugljika kao materijala za izradu elektroda superkondendzatora. Ispitani su aktivni ugljik dobiven iz kokosove ljuske CS i Norit DLC SUPER 30 (OVIA INOVACIJE). Za oba materijala je dobivena raspodjela veličina čestica metodom dinamičkog raspršenja svjetlosti DLS, krivulje termičke stabilnosti termogravimetrijskom analizom te FTIR spektri. Od oba materijala su zatim izrađene elektrode te su sastavljena dva superkondenzatora i ispitani elektrokemijskim analitičkim metodama. Provedena je elektrokemijska impedancijska spektroskopija EIS u rasponu frekvencija od 10 mHz do 100 kHz i kao rezultat su dobiveni Nyquistovi prikazi. Zatim je provedena ciklička voltametrija u rasponu potencijala od 0 do 2 V brzinom promjene potencijala od 20 mV/s. Također je provedeno galvanostatsko punjenje/pražnjenje GCD u 30 ciklusa u dvo- i troelektrodnom sustavu pri struji od 20 mA, nakon čega su se ponovila mjerenja EIS i cikličke voltametrije da se zabilježe promjene u kapacitetima i otporima u sustavu. Iz Nyquistovih prikaza moglo se zaključiti da ponašanje kondenzatora nije idealno, a vidljiv je veći unutarnji otpor CS elektroda u odnosu na Norit, te je u oba slučaja došlo do porasta unutarnjeg otpora nakon provedenih 30 ciklusa punjenja i pražnjenja. Iz oblika cikličkog voltamograma dalo se zaključiti da CS pokazuje bolje kapacitivne karakteristike na osnovu gotovo konstantnih vrijednosti struje prije i poslije 30 ciklusa. Iz krivulja punjenja i pražnjenja izračunati su specifični kapaciteti te se također vidi veći pad kapaciteta i niže vrijednosti kod Norita u odnosu na CS. Također su izračunati unutarnji otpori na osnovi pada napona te su pokazali puno veće vrijednosti kod CS što se može objasniti lošijim kontaktom između aktivnog materijala i strujnog kolektora.In today's world, where the sustainable use of energy use is becoming one of the most important issues, more and more attention is being drawn to the use of renewable energy sources. In order to make the most of their potential, it’s crucial to perfect the concept of energy storage in devices such as batteries, fuel cells and supercapacitors. In this paper, the possibility of using different types of activated carbons as materials for supercapacitor electrodes was investigated. Activated carbon obtained from coconut shell CS and Norit DLC SUPER 30 were the two materials tested. For both materials, the particle size distribution was obtained using the DLS dynamic light scattering method, the thermal stability curve was obtained using thermogravimetric analysis, as well as the FTIR spectra. Electrodes were made from different materials, then two supercapacitors were assembled and tested using electrochemical analytical methods. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, EIS was performed in the frequency range from 10 mHz to 100 kHz and as a result Nyquist plots were obtained. Cyclic voltammetry was performed in the potential range from 0 to 2 V with a potential change rate of 20 mV/s. A 30-cycle galvanostatic charge/discharge, GCD, was also performed in a two- and three-electrode system at a constant current of 20 mA, after which EIS and cyclic voltammetry measurements were repeated to record changes in system capacitances and resistances. From Nyquist plots it was concluded that the behavior of the capacitor is not ideal, the internal resistance of CS electrodes seemed higher compared to Norit, and in both cases the internal resistance increased after 30 charging and discharging cycles. From the shape of the cyclic voltammogram, it was concluded that CS shows better capacitive characteristics based on almost constant current values before and after 30 cycles. Specific capacities were calculated from the charge/discharge curves, with a bigger drop in capacity and lower values found for Norit compared to CS. Internal resistances were also calculated based on the voltage drop and showed much higher values for CS, which can be explained by poorer contact between the active material and the current collector
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Underground gas storages in southeastern Europe
U radu se ukazuje na važnost skladištenja prirodnog plina i njegove uloge u plinskoj infrastrukturi. Opisuje se značaj zemalja jugoistočne Europe za dobavu plina iz različitih pravaca koji su bitni za funkcionalnu plinoopskrbu ostatka kontinenta. Republika Hrvatska sa svojim položajem i budućim projektima u pogledu diversifikacije dobavnih pravaca prirodnog plina postaje konkurent na europskom tržištu plina te i sama postaje manje ovisna o ruskom plinu. Navedeni su postojeći kapaciteti skladištenja prirodnog plina kao i oni planirani kako u Hrvatskoj tako i u ostalim zemljama regije. Također su spomenuti i svi budući projekti važni za plinofikaciju jugoistočne Europe.This paper points out the importance of gas storage and its role in gas infrastructure. It describes the significance of countries in southeastern Europe in gas supply from different paths that are necessary for functional provision of gas to the rest of the continent. Republic of Croatia with her position and future projects in terms of diversification of supply paths for natural gas is becoming a competitor on the European market of gas and beginning to be less dependent on the Russian gas. All the existent capacities of gas storage are listed as well as the planned ones in Croatia along with the other countries of the region. All the future projects important for the gasification of southeastern Europe are also mentioned

Zanemarivanje sektora morskog ribarstva u Hrvatskoj tijekom druge polovice 20. stoljeća uzrokovalo je negativne posljedice u smislu značajno manje količine ulova, zastarjele ribarske flote i tehnologije i neodgovornog iskorištavanja resursa. Izmjene Zakona o morskom ribarstvu od 1994. godine do danas donijele su velike promjene, od podjele ribolova, regulacije ribolovnih zona, promjena sukladno Uredbi vijeća (EZ) br. 1967/2006 i Zajedničkoj ribarstvenoj politici Europske unije. Gospodarski i negospodarski ribolov su dvije osnovne kategorije morskog ribolova u RH. Najznačajniji ribolovni alati po količini i vrijednosti iskrcaja su pridnena povlačna mreža koća i plivarica srdelara. Komercijalno najznačajnije vrste hrvatskog morskog ribarstva su srdela i inćun (sitna plava riba), a veliku važnost ima i uzgoj plavoperajne tune te ulov demerzalnih vrsta (oslić, trlja blatarica, škamp). Podaci o broju ribara i ribarskoj floti u gospodarskom ribolovu za 2023. godinu pokazuju padajući trend. Provođenje mjera regulacije ribolova, zakonska regulativa i međunarodna suradnja imaju za cilj usklađivanje iskorištavanja i ribolovnog napora sa stanjem obnovljivih morskih resursa. Glavni dokumenti za regulaciju ribolova Republike Hrvatske su Zakon o morskom ribarstvu i prateći pravilnici. Prije perioda pristupanja Europskoj uniji hrvatsko morsko ribarstvo nije bilo u skladu sa Zajedničkom ribarstvenom politikom EU-a. Ulazak u Europsku uniju značio je prihvaćanje europske regulative za ribarstvo vezano za nadzor, kategorizaciju ribara, veličinu i količinu ulova za pojedine vrste i ribolovne alate i sufinanciranje strukturnih promjena iz proračuna Europske unije. Tijekom zadnjih nekoliko desetljeća Zajednička ribarstvena politika ima jako velik značaj za države članice, a reforma iz 2013. godine vodi se u smjeru održivog upravljanja ribljim resursima, obnove staništa, obnavljanja biološke raznolikosti, reguliranja odbačenog ulova, utjecaja klimatskih promjena, pojednostavljenja ZRP-a i socioekonomskih pitanja. Prateći politiku ZRP-a, ciljevi ribarstvene politike Republike Hrvatske su unaprjeđenje konkurentnosti ribarstva te njegove održivosti u društveno-gospodarskom smislu i upravljanju prirodnim resursima.The negative consequences of the neglect of Croatian marine fisheries in the second half of the 20th century have led to a decline in catches, an outdated fishing fleet and technology and irresponsible exploitation of resources. Since 1994, several amendments have been made to the Croatian Law on Marine Fisheries, bringing significant changes in terms of categorisation and fishing areas, following Council Regulation (EC) No 1967/2006 and the EU Common Fisheries Policy (CFP). The Croatian law defines two main categories in the fisheries sector, commercial and non-commercial fishing. Bottom trawls and sardine purse seines are the main fishing gears. The species with the greatest commercial importance are sardines and anchovies, followed by bluefin tuna and demersal species (hake, red mullet and Norway lobster). In 2023, the number of commercial fishermen and the fishing fleet will decrease. Legal measures to regulate fishing and international cooperation aim to harmonise exploitation and fishing effort with the state of renewable marine resources. The Croatian Marine Fisheries Act and its regulations are key documents for this sector. Prior to accession to the European Union, Croatian fisheries policy was not compatible with the EU Common Fisheries Policy. Accession to the EU brought new regulations regarding monitoring, categorisation of fishermen, catches, fishing gear and EU co-financing. The Common Fisheries Policy has been of great importance to all European Union countries in recent decades. Sustainable management, habitat restoration, biodiversity restoration, discards, climate change, simplification of the CFP and socio-economic issues are the main themes of the 2013 CFP reform. Following the CFP, the Croatian fisheries policy has set itself the goal of creating a competitive fisheries sector with sustainable management that respects social, economic and biological aspects
