Fonagy and Freud:Psychological versus psychic reality
No full textPeter Fonagy and Mary Target present their Playing with Reality theory as a developmental theory centred on the concept of psychic reality. This article compares Fonagy and Target’s use of the concept of psychic reality with Freud’s original concept. It is argued that the concept of psychic reality has been redefined from delineating a psychic reality stemming from the unconscious to denoting a kind of conscious or preconscious psychological reality characterized by an experience of equality between the internal and the external world. The theoretical discussion is illustrated by being applied to eating disorder pathology, which by Fonagy and colleagues is described as associated with thought processes characterized by psychic reality
Mentaliseringsbegrebet og dets arv fra Freuds begreb om binding:Teoretisk sammenfald eller grundlæggende forskellige subjektopfattelser?
No full textArtiklen undersøger og diskuterer forskelle og ligheder mellem mentaliseringsbegrebet og Freuds bindingsbegreb. Begrebet mentalisering, som betegner en evne til at forholde sig refleksivt til egne og andres mentale tilstande, har indenfor de sidste fem- ti år vundet en central placering i klinisk psykologiske teoridannelser. Dets ophavsmænd Fonagy et al. forsøger imidlertid ikke at tage patent på begrebet, men peger på, at en række teoretikere har understreget betydningen af en refleksiv funktion. Alle disse begreber kan ifølge Fonagygruppen føres tilbage til Freuds begreb om binding. På baggrund af en udlægning af det oprindelige bindingsbegreb hos Freud, ønskes det i denne artikel at tydeliggøre den grundlæggende forskel på Freuds – og Fonagys subjektopfattelse

Kan det enkelte individ finde sig selv i de fremherskende måder, vi beskriver det at være menneske på, eller bliver vi tværtimod fremmedgjorte, når vi forsøger at spejle os i de kulturelle beskrivelser? Forfatteren ser i indeværende bog nærmere på de dominerende forestillinger om selvet i senmoderniteten. Problemstillingen anskues ud fra to vinkler: et bredt samfundsmæssigt eller sociologisk perspektiv og et mere snævert personlighedspsykologisk perspektiv i form af psykoanalysen under og efter Freud. Selvet mellem kærlighed og strid er således både en kulturkritisk analyse af nutidens "menneskeopfattelse" og introducerer samtidig læseren til væsentlige psykoanalytiske teoretikere som Winnicott, Kohut, Kernberg, Klein, Lacan og Schafter samt til nyere sociologisk teoridannelse. Bogen henvender sig til studerende og undervisere på universiteter og seminarier

No full textPeter Fonagy og Mary Targets ”Playing with reality” teori er en form for udviklingsteori for begrebet psykisk realitet. Indeværende artikel sammenholder Fonagy og Targets anvendelse af begrebet med Freuds oprindelige begreb og påpeger, at mens begrebet ifølge Freud betegner en kerne i det ubevidste, der ikke i sig selv kan opleves, men som er betydningsproducerende, så betegner begrebet psykisk realitet i Playing with reality teorien en form for subjektiv indre realitet, præget af en oplevelse af lighed mellem den indre og den ydre verden. Begrebet psykisk realitet er derfor blevet omdefineret fra at omhandle en psykisk realitet udgående fra det ubevidste til at betegne psykologiske eller subjektive processer tilgængelige for bevidstheden. Den teoretiske diskussion bliver anskueliggjort ved at blive anvendt i forhold til spiseforstyrrelses patologi, der af Fonagy og kollegaer antages at være forbundet med tankeprocesser præget af psykisk realitet
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
